When I started with SheCodes basics, I just enrolled myself to see if I can do it, I did not know that I would come so far with coding that I would enrol myself in SheCodes Plus and build an app on my own. I feel so happy that I was able to do something that I had never thought I will be able to do. Thanks to Matt for being such a good teacher and making it easy to understand. My SheCodes journey continues with SheCodes Responsive and it proved to be a bit tricky at first. Learning all the tricks and tips was a lot at first but once you physically do them a couple of times, you get the hang of it. Matt explains the concepts really well. He is a superb teacher. I'm really proud of how far I've come with the help of SheCodes. I don't think I could have done any of this without Matt and his superior team.
The SheCodes workshop honestly changed my life. I never though coding could be so much fun and interesting. I can literally do this all day π. Matt is a great teacher. This workshop was really fun! I was pleased that SheCodesPlus included the best features of SheCodes Basics while also making a leap forward in terms of the sophistication of techniques and in professional development. I appreciate Matt Delac's teaching at a deeper level now, too. Although he isn't showy or dogmatic about it, Matt has a true professional's discernment for best practices and an almost aesthetic sense of judgment for the relative elegance of competing solutions, which I deeply value as a student. Plenty of self-appointed teachers can show off tricks of the trade or teach expedient, "thrown-together" solutions without transmitting a sense for why one approach to a problem is less adequate than another. In my opinion, that's a major point of value that sets SheCodes apart from its competitors and from the "teach yourself" sites. Matt doesn't want to just teach us to code; he wants to teach us to become *good* coders who are self-reliant, resilient, and resourceful problem-solvers.

SheCodes Basics was a phenomenal program! It's very fascinating, affordable and I learned a ton in a short amount of time. Matt is an excellent teacher & the weekly Slack channels makes communication very easy. I loved that there were deadlines to keep me on track, but I could also skip ahead if I was ahead of schedule. This was an amazing experience! Matt was a wonderful teacher and explained how to code in a way that I could understand. I love that students have access to the SheCodes staff and support from other "SheCoders". Learning to code can be overwhelming initially, like learning a new language. It's totally worth the effort though. I've created something that I'm proud of, and I learned skills that I can use now or in the future.
I enjoyed this introduction to coding so much! Every lesson was clearly understandable and everything was explained in a short and fun way. I really liked being able to put everything into practice with challenges after each lesson. This was my first introduction to the coding world and it was so much better than I had expected. If I'm being honest, I thought coding will need a lot of math knowledge and would possibly be even boring, but teacher Matt showed me that it's a fun and very creative skill to learn! I learnt a lot in just a matter of weeks and now I want to recommend this workshop to every woman who wants to learn something new in their free time or even start working in tech!

SheCodes gave me confidence to start learning to code from (total!) scratch and an excitement for each new lesson! I'm a violin teacher by trade and an amateur ballet dancer for my hobby, but I was looking for something "Left-Brained" to challenge me to go out of my comfort zone and try something new. These three weeks of the SheCodes Basics Workshop have been both awesome and challenging. I really enjoyed learning the very basics of coding specially HTML and CSS. JavaScript is been definitely more challenging to learn for me but I somehow managed to complete the challenges which makes me proud and stoked! Matt is an awesome teacher and he explains it all in a very simple and understandable way. Bruno and Joao have been super nice and helpful as well and all the coders from the slack platform are super keen to learn and help to each other which makes the whole coding experience really fun and friendly. I have always wanted to learn to code; at least basics. Before applying to SheCodes, I have tried couple other platforms but I used to get boring and gave up right after the first lesson.I was thinking that I will never be able to learn it. However, SheCodes workshops changed my whole perception. I loved it. Mat is a great teacher and he explains everything so clearly. The lessons are not overwhelming like others. One morning I was scrolling through Instagram and randomly came across a free 60-minutes coding course from SheCodes. I usually don't bother about these things, but I just decided to go through it. I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!

Matt is a good teacher. You can feel he is passionate about coding in his teaching. (no teacher can be better than one who loves what he's doing!) Class content is well-structured and -designed, one thing at a time, many practical techniques are taught. The way how each specific code works is explained clearly.
SheCodes is different from other options Iβve tried because of the community behind it, plus Matt is a great teacher. I learned lot of thing through the SheCodes and I am able to design simple web application and forward thinking to learn more from all. I started learning to code a few months ago and I can not believe how much I have learned in just a few weeks! It is a lot of hard work, and I have both cursed and cried during the past 8 weeks. But the feeling when everything finally works is so rewarding and makes it all worth it! Before this course, I was looking to develop new hard skills for my career. I signed up for this course on a whim, never having had ANY prior experience nor exposure to coding. I truly had no idea what to expect. So I told myself "let me just try this and see where it goes". And it was one of the best decisions I've made for my self-development! Matt is an excellent teacher, and he balances just the right amount of teaching & challenging you to find your own answers. At times, I got very frustrated with learning Javascript in particular (it honestly looked like gibberish at first), but like learning any new language, it comes more naturally with time and repetition. This course was very empowering, and has opened up a whole new world for me. I had so much fun! I highly recommend to any women looking to develop new skills for their current career, or women even considering a career change. I am a woman who wears so many hats, and the way the course is structured is perfect for me. The chapters are not overwhelming, and Matt is a very good teacher. Community support is also a big plus as if you're stuck; it doesn't take long to get help. The assignments are very practical applications of the concept discussed in each chapter. I had to extend my classes many times because of different circumstances, and the program was flexible enough to finish the course at my own pace. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to learn how to code. I am looking forward to my next workshop, SheCodes Plus! π
Coding has become my obsession lately and during this workshop, I have enjoyed so much creating my portfolio and bringing to life responsive websites. As I have always said each step of the way, Matt is a great teacher, he teaches to deal with frustration when things don't go as expected and find other ways to solve whatever challenges your facing. I'm very excited to see what's next π
Teacher Matt tried to teach many things but definitely not enough to do the final project. Obviously teacher knows this very well so he technically led the students to build the weather app step by step, for the last 2 weeks. He'll say "Let's do this, and this, then this..." I followed his steps and copied his code line by line and then finally it worked, of course. But to do it again all by myself? Definitely no way. It is like you learnt how to do the math, then even one-dimensional linear equation, but the final test is calculus. Teacher knows you can't do it so he writes the answer on the blackboard, and says "okay this is quite challenging but if you learn React it is much easier." Seriously? To sell senior class to a totally confused student?
I discovered SheCodes on a podcast that helps teachers transition into a new career. I never would have thought it was possible for me to learn and enjoy coding so much in just 3 weeks! Thanks to Matt and his team at SheCodes I now feel my career transition is possible. I look forward to taking the other workshops SheCodes offers!

Great course for beginners! The teacher is great at teaching information, and if something is unclear, it is easy and quick to get help.
SheCodes has been fantastic! The videos explain each part just enough to understand what to do, but doesn't give away every detail so you have to figure out somethings on your own. Matt is a great teacher! The timeline for each week is perfectly spaced out. I was able to spend just over 5 hours each week on my assignments. I ended up spending a lot longer on my final project by choice! I'm so happy to have found this class and I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop!

It's been an absolute blast to take this course. Matt makes it so easy and he explains everything in a very pedagogical way. Fun fact: as an engineer I had a very short introduction to Python a few years ago, and I thought it was incredibly boring. Never ever had I thought that I (willingly) would take a coding course in the future. But here I am, and this course have been nothing like my previous experience. All of a sudden coding is extremely fun and I just want to learn more and more. I guess that's the difference between a really good teacher and a not so good one. Now I'm looking forward to taking SheCodes Pro that I will start with on Monday!

I had no experience at all. I was pretty intimidated to begin. This course was so easy to follow. Matt is a great teacher and the community of other awesome ladies is indispensable. I can't recommend this workshop enough. Everyone should do it.

SheCodes Plus is an amazing course to expand on what you learn in the Basics course - and it's so much fun! Javascript can be confusing at times but Matt is an excellent teacher and explains it so well at every step. I really enjoyed learning how to integrate real data into a working weather app and I'm looking forward to learning even more with SheCodes!
It was almost 3 months of quite hard work but the result is worth it βοΈ SheCodes Plus requires more effort than Basic workshop but if you like challenges πͺ then this is something for you. I got bunch of new extra useful information about API and JS plus all resources necessary to build my very first application. Matt as always is a great teacher who knows how to explain the most difficult stuff the easiest possible way. Entering fascinating world of coding now I really know how much I don't know π but for sure I feel more confident and I'm looking forward to continue my journey with front end development and to see where it brings me π©π»βπ»ππ€
