I had zero experience with coding and it is all so much clearer to me now! There are some tough concepts to learn, but Matt does a great job explaining them. I also love that I can watch the videos as many times as I need. I am a teacher and will teach coding to my students this year now that I feel more comfortable helping my students if and when they get stuck with our own programs.
I really loved this course. It was fun and Matt is amazing teacher! I would recommend it to everyone , even if you know html, css, javascript because you will get to know loads of helpful techniques and tricks to increase your developer productivity. The community is really welcoming and doubts gets cleared quick!

I've built things I never thought I would be able to. In high school I tried coding and was told by my teacher that I was a hopeless case (I kind of was, lol). But I am sure that he would be very proud to see that even I, a useless case, was able to build React code and finish several projects in the SheCodes course. I am so happy and excited for the adventures to come in tech!
The course is basic, it is suitable for those who have never programmed at all. I liked the teacher and the short lessons followed by practice. Learned a few new things for myself. Highly recommend!

In truth, I initially enrolled in the course (SheCodes Basics) with a lot of skepticism about the capacity for an asynchronous, online course platform to be able to teach me something functional, as well as any sort of prospective for me to be able to take this new skill and make something out of it (and even potentially branching out into a new/evolved career). While I know I still have loads to learn, knowing that coding is a growing language that even experts who have been doing so for years still study and work on to improve their skills/language, I have become hopeful that this is, indeed, a field that I can actually get into, and continue to learn, expand, and explore rather than feel "stuck" in. Matt is a phenomenal teacher. I loved the way the learning platform was designed and each activity was scaffolded and chunked into smaller bits and gradually building up to a bigger project. I also loved how the final project allowed us to create what we were passionate about. (I definitely spent way too much time - WAY more than necessary ;) - to make every detail and design the way I wanted: with both information and knowledge gained from Matt's lessons, as well as searching on google on my own for things I actually wanted more of). After doing my final project and recognizing all the more that I could learn, I have decided to continue to learn, and maybe delve into some of the other advanced workshops offered through the program. Thanks so much, Matt, and everyone else on the team!

SheCodes is amazing place to start learning about coding. I thought it was something I could never understand. But Matt is a great teacher. He gives instructions step-by-step in an understandable and light way. These 3 weeks were really enjoyable, fun and productive. This course raised my interest and helped me gain more confidence in this sphere.
The program is very interesting! The theory is clearly explained and a lot of time is allocated for practice. Lessons are quite clear and fun. I really like this education format when step-by-step teacher explain material.

I've done a couple of courses like this before, but it turns out they were, in fact, nothing like this one! this is the most comprehensive course by far and it involves A LOT of practice. I like how in the end you are able to come up with your own solutions that are different from Matt's. to me it means that I've gained a proper understanding of how things work, I'm not just mimicking what the teacher is doing. absolutely recommend!
I've almost completed the 'Pro' workshop, and in such a short amount of time I have learned so much. The self-paced structure is ideal for me and I enjoy the challenges in the modules. Matt is a great teacher and I'd recommend this course!!

This has been an amazing journey! I started with the first course thinking I would stop after the basics level...but I have loved learning how to code and completed every course available. I chose SheCodes because it was structured (deadlines, I need them) but also flexible (I was still teaching full time so I was coding on weekends). I know that there is SO much more to learn, but I am excited and ready for it. As a transitioning teacher, I never considered FrontEnd Developer as an option for me, but now I do. β€οΈ. AMAZING!!! Matt is a really talented teacher. I started my coding journey with SheCodes basic, fell in love with coding, and decided to make a career shift. I then enrolled in a university bootcamp (BIG mistake) and I dropped out because the tutors were not as talented in explaining the material as Matt and the curriculum was rushed and unorganized, I then decided to sign up for SheCodes Pro and I could immediately notice the difference! I am telling you if you enjoyed your SheCodes basic course, go for it and invest in the SheCodesPro, it is worth every penny! This second course was definitely a challenge. I believe that to be successful, a student needs to get additional knowledge outside of the SheCodes course for assistance. There are some parts in the coding journey that can be confusing. That being said, I do recommend this course because it demands great dedication and demonstrates how coding is powerful. I love the training structure with its videos & challenges as well as the SheCodes team via Slack. The teachers are always available and answer questions very quickly.

A week ago, I knew nothing about coding. Today I completed my first project and I couldn't be more proud of myself as a student and Matt as a teacher. He is passionate about what he does, and he shares this spark with others. I never tried coding, because I was told programming is for those who are good at math, which I am absolutely not. But war in my country taught me not to leave plans and wishes for tomorrow. And here I am, learning and enjoying every moment of it. Lessons are very clear, and the SheCodes support team is always there for you. Can't wait for next step!
I'm a 27-year-old who spent six years attending school as a teacher (with a master's). In my third year in the classroom, my health started struggling. My asthma took a toll on me, and in May I ended up in the hospital for a whole week. The Doctors kindly suggested that I should reconsider my career. Although I did want to and I knew it was for my best. Starting a whole new career at 27 wasn't exactly what I had planned for my life. But SheCodes has made it easy, fun, challenging, and exciting to transition. Having a founder that is so down to earth and genuinely cares about what he is building and who he is helping, is truly encouraging. I also feel like I have a community of women that are empowering each other, and that is just priceless.
