A very thorough introduction into HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding from a very friendly and approachable teacher. The course is challenging in some areas but SheCodes is set up with multiple places to find help. I also loved the community chat - you can test your skills by helping others as well as supporting eachother! I would 100% recommend!

I started studying with SheCodes to be sure that coding is something for me, as I'm going to start an IT uni in few months. Now I'm so in love with this area and I can't wait to build my own websites. Thank you so much, Matt! You're an amazing teacher.

What an awesome way of learning code, every challenge is intended to help you grow and learn code step by step, i would recommend this course to everyone as it is detailed, structured and focuses on syntax based in Javascript, HTML and CSS. I learnt so much information but it was not overwhelming as a summary is done to help you progress in each step. Matt is an amazing teacher and i can't wait to get to the next phase.

Good course with a great teacher!

Like the Basics workshop, the Basics Add-On workshop was fun and so easy to follow along with. I was able to finish another landing page fairly quickly and with the knowledge that I knew exactly what I was doing. Matt is such a clear and precise teacher and I can't wait to jump into the next course.

I've just finished SheCodes Basics and have learned so much in a short amount of time. Matt is a great teacher and does a good job at simplifying the more complex topics. I am really glad that I decided to take this course. I have been curious about coding for a long time and, as a PM on maternity leave, I was nervous about learning something new at the moment. Matt is a great teacher and the team does a fantastic job supporting you. I learned more than I expected and I was impressed to be able to build my first "landing page" after only 3 weeks. I loved the fact that the course`s structure pushes you to be creative and to try to find solutions yourself from day 1. I went to college for mechanical engineering which was when I fell in love with coding and decided to change to Software Engineering. At the end of the day you do not need to go to college to get a job as a Software Engineer. Bootcamps are just as valid as an education as a degree. I personally went through the bootcamp route because university in the US is expensive and I don’t want to spend 4-5 years learning math and 5-10% of coding. Matt is a great teacher, one of the best I've had in a while. The way he teaches is simple and it's self paced. If one day you want to just take it easy or another day you want to put all your energy towards it. This bootcamp is quite friendly for people that like to be in control of how much their learning but with structure as well to keep you in check.
