I've learned so much in the past two weeks!! Java dealt with me, but Matt is a great teacher. He did a great job at breaking it down and making it as easy to understand as possible. When I was at university I enrolled into a Computer Science course to complete my studies. It was an horrible, extremely confusing, experience. We were left alone trying to cope with things that were never explained to us. I somewhat managed to pass, but whenever I would hear the word "coding" I would just label it as something I couldn't do. A very thorough introduction into HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding from a very friendly and approachable teacher. The course is challenging in some areas but SheCodes is set up with multiple places to find help. I also loved the community chat - you can test your skills by helping others as well as supporting eachother! I would 100% recommend!

Like the Basics workshop, the Basics Add-On workshop was fun and so easy to follow along with. I was able to finish another landing page fairly quickly and with the knowledge that I knew exactly what I was doing. I've just finished SheCodes Basics and have learned so much in a short amount of time. Matt is a great teacher and does a good job at simplifying the more complex topics. I'm in a computer programming certificate program at a local university, but feel that I've learned more in just three weeks participating in SheCodes than I have in most of my university courses so far. With the SheCodes workshops, I truly believe ANYONE can not only learn to code, but can excel in the CS field.
