I was terrible at computer coding when I was in high school and really struggled with the basics. After watching the free class, I finally understood what my teacher had been trying to get through to me all those years ago. I've finished the first three weeks and I'm continuing on in the program. It's still a struggle sometimes, but there's lots of support from the SheCodes staff as well as all my fellow SheCoders, so I know I can succeed.
I really enjoyed the simple and thorough explanations and examples given for the concepts and that you could go back and watch the videos again. the challenges are not difficult to the point of frustration and with the helpful community on Slack you feel well supported.
SheCodes was a super fun way to learn to code while deconstructing complex problems. It makes it easy to understand and I enjoyed learning the logic behind it. The support offered is a big plus as it encouraged me to test some other features that weren't taught, knowing I would not be left out stuck. 100% recommended!

Basic course gave me a better notion of coding, but SheCodes Plus is a huge step forward, it was truly challenging for me but always enjoyed it because Matt's explanations are really clear,concise and illustrative, also it's very useful that the recordings are accesible anytime. I got more used to Slack, I realized other students shared similar doubts which sheCodes Support team helped solving.

The classes are well-structured and you get the main principles of working with this framework. Although personally I think it would be better to learn it in a real classroom. I lacked personal support throughout the course. You can of course ask questions on Slack and get the answers but it is both confusing and time-consuming. React is really hard and I am super happy that I made it through the course!
This was an amazing three-week journey into the coding world. Materials are easy to follow and Slack community is there to support. All I can say SheCodes project breaks stereotypes and empowers women to pursue a career in programming.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the workshop! The classes are set out in a way that makes things very easy to understand, even for complete beginners, and will have you coding in no time! This was the first time my frustration wasn't so overwhelming that it erased all the satisfaction of coding. Because I had all the support I needed, and the information was extremely well explained, I felt like I could complete the assignments which was never the case in the past. It gave me the confidence and self-belief I needed to start trusting the process, as well as myself and keep working.
The SheCodes Plus workshop was great, but at times also quite challenging! It was a very enjoyable experience nonetheless and I have learned so much. The lessons are very well structured and easy to follow. The support is great, and no question goes unanswered. I cannot recommend the workshop enough!
Before I signed up for an introduction to coding course, I've joined the free class and seeing Matt coding made me want to explore this completely new world to me more. Can't believe how much I've learned in just a few weeks after knowing practically nothing about coding! This platform is excellent for self-directed learning while providing you with the tools & support to succeed. Highly recommended!
The explanations are very clear (but it's not enriching like attending a live workshop). Customer support is slow at answering emails when you're not a potential client (they're very fast at that) but had already bought the products months before. I also didn't feel like leaving a public review with my name and face on it just to access SheCodes Plus after completing SheCodes Basic, but apparently if I don't complete this review the site will keep asking me for money when I try to enroll to SheCodes Plus (?) even though I have already paid the SheCodes Pro package. I asked customer service if I could skip this passage. No answer.
This workshop was quite fun! It was so cool to start from an empty canvas and end up with a fully functioning weather app. Seeing it change every week was the best! Eventough the workshop is fully online, the homework deadlines really help you stay on track. And when facing any problem there is lots of fast support from everyone on Slack (and also Dr. Google π). I had some basic coding skills but never had any contact with html and CSS. Matt is great during the lessons and the supporting slack network is great to. I would highly recomend to anyone who wants to know more about front end development.

I really enjoyed the course, it was very challenging but rewarding. I did find myself getting a bit lost at certain times but the Slack support was very helpful and prompt and very essential.
I'd been considering making the switch to IT for a while already when I came across SheCodes. It sounded very appealing to me to have the freedom to work where and when you can, while still having the accountability and support that comes from a team that checks your weekly assignment and answers your questions. It turned out to be the perfect combination, and I am more sure than ever that I want to continue in IT. I'm especially happy with their online framework, the structure of the lessons (the build-up just made sense), and the awesome community I am now a part of. Can't wait to start the next course! π
SheCodes Plus was a great course to take after SheCodes Basics where I got to use what I had previously learnt and develop a greater understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It was challenging at times but the videos and solutions from Matt along with all the support from the rest of the team via Slack meant I was able to complete my weekly homework and for the final project create something better than I could have hoped for.
I was dreading the JavaScript workshop, and I still am. I could complete the course project but needed some extra support. Saying that I've learned a lot following the course, and I'm looking forward to the next challenges.

It has been a real joy. I have always been anti-technology person but I thought I would like to give coding a chance. It was not easy to find a right course, prices are high and I couldn't really understand what instructors were on about. Then I joined SheCodes webinar and I knew I found the right place. It has not been easy and I had to spend a lot of time on the tasks since I never had anything to do with programming but thanks to a fantastic instructor and supportive team I managed to finish my Basic Project. I enjoyed the challenge of learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and more in 3 weeks! The pacing was easy to maintain with a full-time job due to the self-pacing nature of the course. Having real-time support was a plus and I am excited to continue my coding journey.

It's been fantastic to learn a new skill which I will definitely consider developing further. SheCodes is presented in a really easy format and allows you to work when suits you. I really like the function on the video's which allows you to adjust the speed at which they playback. The online support provided by slack is a fantastic tool which helps when wanting a solution to move on to the next step at speed.
I didn't really believe in the potential of online courses until I started taking SheCodes' classes. It's challenging but extremely satisfying to complete each challenge proposed during the workshop. Matt's teaching style is very good and all the support provided by his team is really great and much needed. I strongly recommend the SheCodes courses and look forward to the next workshop. I'm super happy I chose to participate in this workshop! It's amazing how much I learnt in this relative short amount of time. I will definitely continue with the next workshop aswell to deepen my knowledge further. I've spent around six months learning HTML, CSS and Javascript using various platforms such as CodeAcademy, LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight and YouTube to name a few. After attending the SheCodes free coding class, the material I learned really stuck! After enrolling onto SheCodes pro I've really enjoyed the support from the SheCodes community and the learning style of effectively: (1) Shadowing Matt (2) Completing his challenge to test your learning (3) Doing homework to validate your learning even more (4) Completing a project that includes everything you've learned (5) Having your code reviewed at each stage Learning how to code this way goes beyond everything i've used before and I has made it challenging yet fun!
This was an intense 3 week journey, I had in mind many times to give up, I was saying that this is not for me, I can't learn it, but I am so glad I have not gave up. I loved the support you get, in case you get stuck, so many options to sort your issue. I was not alone, I was getting instant help from staff members, even from the community members who joined SheCodes. I think what kept me going is the time line to submit your homework, if was not in place I am sure I was not to follow up and give up easily. Very organised step by step course, clear messages and instructions, the best coding course. I've tried to learn on my own through three separate providers and SheCodes was by far the best one for me! I'm a new mom and a full-time Product Manager for a fortune 100 company so the most important thing for me was a program that didn't take up a lot of my time but held me to a deadline. SheCodes gives you the right amount of know-how and support tools to be able to go into the homework on your own -all within a couple of hours a day. The other thing I found better than previous learn-to-code programs was the fact you're using a real text-editor and web-page from the start. I feel really confident and ready to go further into my coding journey!

Very practical, loved the objective approach I had learned without struggling with the languages. The support team was available always I needed.
I didn't think I would be able to complete the course, or at least not very well, but the way it is instructed by Matt, and the allowance to take it all in you own time, in small or large chunks is very helpful! The videos make it easy to go back to something you learned before if you get stuck, and the online support system on Slack is amazing. SheCodes React was challenging but so rewarding. It was my fourth and final course and I am so happy that I discovered SheCodes half a year ago. I still can't believe how much I learned in such a short time and I am proud of what I achieved. At the same time, I am already sad that my SheCodes journey is now over - at least for now -, it feels a bit like leaving home. I will always feel connected to SheCodes and I hope that there will be more advanced courses in the future. I would definitely take them.
