The Basics workshops are a great introduction to anyone who is interested in coding. I felt both challenged and supported during these three weeks.
In just three weeks, I went from having zero knowledge of programming to understanding all the basics, which is absolutely amazing! What I liked the most about it is that you can get live support via Slack whenever you are stuck in an exercise, which comes quite in handy, I would say. I am truly grateful for this experience and with everyone who made this possible.
The most interesting and the best workshops ever. I'm very grateful for opportunity to be a part of all those. And also I want to tell you thank you for your support of Ukrainian women. This is priceless.
I managed to complete all tasks because of wonderful support and instructions! Lessons were not overloaded. And also I appreciate that sometimes Matt left a small piece of items for us to search in Google by ourselves. That`s a nice idea of challenge! SheCodes Plus is a challenging yet intriguing course. I've deepened my knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JS. The way Matt provides bite-sized explanations, challenges, and support is on a high level. Front-end development is challenging and needs a lot of dedicated practice. So, my journey only starts. I enjoyed that students were taught to use GitHub, Netlify. Working with API's is challenging and real fun. SheCodes Plus is highly recommended to everyone!

The SheCodes React workshop was fun and challenging. It was a pleasant experience to turn the vanilla JavaScript weather app from the Plus workshop into React in this workshop. The Slack Channel provided good support. Many students struggle with similar problems thus I could find answers to most of my questions on the Slack Channel.
I like this course very much! For me it was such an challenge: I thought that coding is should be very difficult... And firstly it was not so easy for me to find a time for studying, because I have family with two childern, little dog and full-time work. So that I felt quite stressed. But in process I began to enjoy coding, and final project helped me to understand what I can do it in fun way :) A lot of thanks to all SheCodes family for the support and inspiration!

Dear friends the course, SheCodes Plus was very interesting. It was not easy, not everything could be programmed at once, but there was a support team to help. Fantastic workshop! Easy to understand information for beginners with no previous experience (I am a previous speech therapist). Lots of content broken down into short, easy-to-understand videos. Plenty of support from the community so I never felt lost.
Learning SheCodes Plus can be quite a challenge but it was a great experience! I am happy to have learned more about coding after SheCodes Basic. I am also thankful that their team's live chat support is always available every time I'm feeling stuck or confused on how to do the homework.

I really appreciate the step-by-step process of this course. I feel like learning and practicing in steps and then later on applying it into a project is really helpful. SheCodes Plus was definitely more challenging than SheCodes Basics. However, the SheCodes community was encouraging and helpful. During this course I had another severe asthma exacerbation, and it was such a relieve that I could continue to work on my project from the comfort of my own home. I was also able to make a friend during this course that was a huge support. I feel truly accomplished with my weather app! and I'm so excited for what is coming next!

SheCodes+ was a complex, yet fun and informative workshop. There were times when I struggled, but it was pretty exciting whenever I found the solutions myself. It was also extremely helpful having support whenever I needed it. Matt's lessons were easy to understand and I enjoyed being hands-on in the project. I was skeptical at first, but it turned out to be fun and quite easy for me. I enrolled in the basic workshop but I will continue with a pro. I understood every class and all the concepts of coding. It is a creative workshop and not boring or difficult at all. Also, when I needed help I was able to ask the community and the tech support.

I really like how the courses are built. They are truly bite sized, easy-to-follow and from topic-to-topic it gives you the sense of achievement that keeps you going even if you have to re-watch the actual topic a few times to feel totally confident about it. I also really like that anytime we got stuck we get the needed support on Slack in a timely manner.
Great introduction to coding. Matt allows you to fundamentally understand how html, css & java integrate and function. The pace was good. The best platform for learning! Very strong support from teachers and students.
I had a lot of fun working through the different practice problems and seeing everything come together in the homework assignments at the end of each week. Every lesson builds upon the last in a neat, stepwise progression that makes learning feel like a bit of a challenge but not difficult. I appreciate how the answers aren't provided but that students are given the information they need to "Google it" and come to workable solutions on their own. Bonus? My daughters think I'm cool now :) That said: I encountered an issue when submitting my first week's homework assignment that has left me troubled. I replicated the provided example but, after review, I was notified that my homework was incomplete; when I checked to see what the problem could be, the link I had previously followed to the example opened a differently-formatted page. I went to Slack to ask if I would be required to reformat my homework despite my submission being a faithful representation of the original example and was answered with a request to post my question in another channel of slack because it was a "technical" problem; because the turnaround time for answers was slow (an as-advertised ~48hr) and I didn't want to wait (and I want to learn), I went ahead and reformatted the assignment. Still, I have two problems with this: 1. Assignments that require students to copy (nearly exactly) an example document should not be graded in comparison to example documents that did not exist at the time the assignment was completed. 2. A support team should provide support, not direct questions to different channels and then definitions of what "technical" means, even if it does mean something different (and so vague as to be meaningless) to them. I asked a question of the support team that pertained to a philosophical question, not a technical question: Considering that I submitted an assignment based upon an incompletely formatted example (that was available to me), would I be required (by the SheCodes team) to continue formatting my assignment to match an example that did not exist (to my eyes) until after I had submitted my assignment? When I indicated that my question was not technical in nature (I had no difficulties creating a document, coding a document to match the example available to me, or submitting a document), I was told that, essentially, all questions are technical questions and if I want an answer I should submit my questions to the proper channel. This is not a free course and it is alarming to me to be paying for support and receiving resistance, instead. Just an FYI. I am learning a lot, but I am someone who enjoys the Googling and searching and fiddling. If I were taking this course with the idea of getting (and receiving) much support from the support team, I'm not sure how that would be going.
This has been an excellent experience and can not wait to learn more with SheCodes........who knows it could even be career changing π€·ββοΈ. Very enjoyable and the support is incredible!!

A challenging course, but absolutely exciting. Glad to have taken my first steps in React with the support of SheCodes. A lot of practice is the key factor of this course, it gives you the opportunity not only to learn the difficult things, but to believe in yourself.
I would highly recommend this program to any woman who wants to explore the tech field! It is a βββββ 5-star program. The people who help answer the questions, and help you get up and running are AMAZING!! The only experience I have is answering emails and browsing YouTube. SheCodes Responsive workshop is definitely one of my challenging, yet favorite one. I took a lot of time to finish this project, but at the same time, it was very interesting! Matthieu Delac's teaching skills, the tons of information to learn and practice he provides, to the guidance of the supporting team (shout out to JoΓ£o, Vlada, and Paul) have been incredible! It's a pleasure to see the final result and to know what I accomplished in the 5 weeks(creating my portfolio website with multiple pages that are responsive !) I've already enrolled in the React Course and am excited about the workshop! The SheCodes journey has elevated my desire to learn more, and practice my skills in real-life projects. Definitely would recommend this course!
