Learning to code is a lot of fun, but also very challenging. SheCodes, the team and Matt do a great job here and explain in detail how things work, but also give you the opportunity to figure out a few things by yourself or let's say let you try. SheCodes is the best, I am really proud of how much I learnt from Matt's classes. The course is Challenging, very well paced for beginners. I was anxious at first however, with time I enjoyed it. The team's support is out of this world.

It was immensely hard to make myself go against the flow and finally try doing what I actually secretly always aspired to try my hand at: coding. And I'm thankful that at that moment of decisiveness it was SheCodes I found. Firstly, I understood that what kept me back the most was sheer fear of the amount of basic understanding of how the industry actually works. Navigating through it itself is quite an ordeal if you ask me, as there are so many fields and specialities and pipelines and skills required depending on the former mentioned and later omitted etc. But during a free introduction class which I was kind of sceptical to take at the beginning, Matt managed to keep it short, specific and really easy to wrap your head around. Yes, this was just a tip of the iceberg, but now that it has been reached, I felt like I could somehow see myself a person who goes on this adventure. The feeling was refreshing and, surprisingly, it never faded during the whole Basics Workshop. Here comes the "secondly". I was so happy to observe and experience how SheCodes works as a platform. Starting with design and going all the way to how neatly and user-friendly both the classes and the support are organised. The whole learning process just feels so natural and chill, the possibility to ask for an extension along with short and easy-to-understand lessons made this workshop somehow fit me like a glow. Last but not least, the content of the lessons is remarkable by itself. True, you will only hone some very basic skills, but if you want to continue learning these same skills would work as a pretty solid fundament for your future achievements. Still, if you want to join the workshop just for fun or for challenging your brain, you will complete it with a very real and very your own landing page to boast about (or to even use, why not) anyway. A win-win situation, if you ask me. To wrap it up, I want to thank Matt and SheCodes team for making entering the industry easily instead of gatekeeping it from beginners. Also, I'm endlessly grateful for the chance to study for free at these dire times! SheCodes must be known by everyone just for its Foundation program alone. And to all these still wondering whether to try it out or not: do not hesitate, you won't regret it.

My first time learning coding, it was a great experience. It helped to build confidence from learning the basics to having the freedom of knowing how you can independently code. She Codes is honestly providing us with such amazing, easy to follow, interesting educational content, with top tier support for when we struggle. SheCodes Plus was quite challenging, especially for me, as I started without any technical background. However, the curriculum was very well thought out; it began with a review of basics, followed by the introduction of one concept in each lesson. Finally, we had two weeks of review, akin to assembling pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. Matt Dellac is a phenomenal teacher; his amazing teaching style made the workshop more engaging and down-to-earth. At times, I felt like he was reading my mind and answering my questions 😅. I have learned a lot in the SheCodes Plus course. I've been surprised at how quickly I picked up the API integration, this goes to show what a fantastic teacher Matt is. Using SheCodes own API resources has allowed me the choice to challenge myself further than what is shown in the learning section. This opportunity has given me a lot more confidence in my abilities. Having completed the SheCodes Basics program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum as it involved a new programming language (Javascript). I've been away from coding for a wee while, I needed to get up to speed again, quite quickly. SheCodes Basics is a good course for newbies or those like myself who want to jump right back in with both feet and rediscover the enjoyment of coding once again. Individual experiences will vary, of course, but I found Matt's explanations of HTML, CSS and JS + related content really easy to understand. I love the PowerPuff girls-esk branding and the positive, supportive vibes from the SheCodes Slack community and the library of provided tools and resources from Matt. The feedback on weekly assignments, plus the accountability from setout timeframes is great for someone like myself with ADHD.

Learning with SheCodes is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. In these 3 weeks I have learned a lot, the way Matt teaches us how to code makes it seem incredibly easy and the best thing is that we can get help with specific questions in Slack. Good introduction to basic HTML, CSS and Javascript. Videos and challenges are presented in a user friendly way however I think the support provided is lacking. Feedback on the homework is pre-defined responses with no personalisation. Whilst the Slack is good to seek help or to help other students, when the SheCode's staff get involved, they merely just fix the code for students without helping them understand what was wrong. I understand the principle of people trying to troubleshoot their own code and figure things out but for beginners, I think support to lay the foundations is very important. You could find all the information covered in this course online for free but if you're looking for the structure (which I was) it's a good starting point - albeit expensive for what it is.

I am very satisfied with the SheCodes Responsive course! It was a great experience that helped me to learn the basics of web development.
