From my childhood, I faced numerous challenges as a girl from a village hailing from a middle-class, conservative family. My family's conservatism posed significant obstacles, restricting girls from pursuing education. Consequently, my journey to acquire an education was fraught with struggle, worsen by the lack of quality education and limited resources in the local school I attended. l also do lots of domestic chores and somehow manage time with so much difficulty for studying. Managing these dual roles has proven to be a formidable challenge, requiring time management and unwavering dedication. In the absence of support from most family members, my mother emerged as my sole pillar of encouragement and inspiration. Their lack of support and discouraging words became significant hurdles in my journey. Undeterred, I dedicated myself to diligent study, ultimately achieving success in the JEE Advanced exam, renowned as the second toughest exam in the world. This accomplishment secured my admission to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi). Even after securing admission to IIT, I faced demotivation because of disparities with more affluent peers, I didn't let adversity hinder my progress. Instead, I emerged as a stronger version of myself.

Really enjoyed this workshop, can feel lots of the things I have learnt coming together. I find that I'm recognising errors in my code quicker, working out where mistakes are by methodically going back through the code or recognising that something changed or ammended resulted in the code not working and something that has been replying that Matt said about it being trial and error felt somewhat comforting when I was stuck on a problem and had tried a number of ways to fix it before finding the solution... As always everyone is very supportive in the Slack community, and for the sometimes intense mental challlenge this took out of me, I have a great project at the end that was fin to create.

SheCodes Plus is a game-changer if you want to go beyond the basics and start to see what coding is really about. The exercises get gradually more complex and interesting, and with Matt's clear explanations and the support of the tech team, you'll find yourself building a whole weather app! I've really enjoyed the longer format workshop and all the research and exploration that it has inspired me to do on my own. Looking forward to starting the next workshop :)
