βAfter completing SheCodes Basics, I signed up for SheCodes Plus to challenge myself further. And how! It was definitely next level compared to the first course (being pregnant at the same time also added some extra challenges sometimes). Both in terms of duration as knowledge / skills, I learned a lot of new things especially in JavaScript. The way Matt teaches is so engaging and motivating, plus the Slack channel with fellow students ensures you can keep each other accountable in completing the projects. On to the SheCodes Plus Next! :)β

Even though I learnt HTML and CSS basics during my studies about 10 years ago it was really good to start with SheCodes Basics! I learnt a lot and had fun! The challenges and the project were interesting, sometimes challenging but also really satisfying in the end! I would highly recommend SheCodes Basics and I am looking forward to starting SheCodes Plus.
Loved taking the basics course. If you have any interest in learning to code or just learning a new skill go for it! Everything is self paced so I could complete lessons whenever I had a moment. I took the plunge and will be continuing onward with the SheCodes Plus course!

SheCodes Plus was fun since we could interact with APIs and used what we learned on Basics to create a functional project. Matt does a great job in his videos of making things clear and easy to understand. SheCodes Plus started out as a challenge, but as you push through week 2 the challenges get gripping and Matt's gradual video lessons ensure you make it all the way till the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating my weather app. Coding just got interesting!

SheCodes Plus was really fun even through all the pains of having to delete my code cause it kept breaking and having to pick the color,themes,functions that should be on the app. In my opinion Matt is really a great teacher. Yes, that's me with the grey hair. Not quite the oldest to enrol in SheCodes but getting close! I recommend this course to women of any age. Already I have more confidence in a web project I'm developing for a client. I've now enrolled in SheCodes Plus, because much to my surprise, I've enjoyed coding (as Matt promised!).
The course is well structured and easy to understand. It was a lot of fun. I am looking forward to learning more in SheCodes Plus.
What an eye-opening learning experience! I was never interested in coding because I was scared I would never understand it, but SheCodes Basics changed my mind, and now I'm hooked. The workshop was carefully structured, and the videos weren't too long or overwhelming, which is a plus for a beginner. Also, the lesson challenges were fun and excellent hands-on practice to retain the coding you learned. My word of advice for future students - don't feel defeated if your code is imperfect as there is no one-size-fits-all π. I would highly recommend this workshop if you want to learn from an excellent coding instructor and are interested in changing career paths or expanding your skillset. I definitely enjoyed SheCodes Plus like I did SheCodes Basics, but I really felt more challenged this time and I'm so impressed with the progress I've made in such a short time! This only makes me want to learn more so that I can improve my coding.
The workshop has an appealing structure. I work full time and thanks to the flexible schedule, I managed to meet the deadline. It was fun and challenging to work on the Final Project and now I look forward to the next workshops: SheCodes Plus and SheCodes React!

SheCodes Plus was definitely more challenging than the Basics course, but it gave me a deeper understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript along with a taste of a few other technologies. SheCodes Plus is a highly recommended program. It covers all the aspects of web devlopment in detail. I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!
After finishing SheCodes Plus I was not sure whether I should do SheCodes Responsive or SheCodes React first. I'm glad I decided to do SheCodes Responsive first to slow down and focus on the design aspect and learn more about optimizing sizing of pages for certain devices. I am excited and nervous to move on to SheCodes React but I am excited to update my portfolio with new projects!

Super fun and well-structured course! I finally feel like I know what I'm doing while using HTML and CSS, and because of this I was able to use my creativity and design my own website. It can be really frustrating when something breaks, but so satisfying when you get it to work again. I definitely had trouble with JavaScript in SheCodes Plus so I'm excited to get more practice in with React. Thanks Matt!
I was worried to start studying coding because I'm coming from a completely different area (physiotherapy). I am a woman who wears so many hats, and the way the course is structured is perfect for me. The chapters are not overwhelming, and Matt is a very good teacher. Community support is also a big plus as if you're stuck; it doesn't take long to get help. The assignments are very practical applications of the concept discussed in each chapter. I had to extend my classes many times because of different circumstances, and the program was flexible enough to finish the course at my own pace. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to learn how to code. I am looking forward to my next workshop, SheCodes Plus! π

Matt is an incredible instructor who is able to simplify the topics that seem a bit challenging for beginners. Before finding SheCodes, the thought of going to a coding bootcamp was very intimidating. I didn't know a single thing about coding or if I would even be good at it, so I was hesitant to fork over several thousand dollars to find out. When I lost my job in COVID, I knew I needed to make a career change. I started looking into different coding bootcamp/workshop options and saw that SheCodes had a free intro class! In that first session all my questions were answered and I realized while Matt was live coding that this was something I was totally capable of. The next day I signed up for SheCodes basics and I am so glad I did! I just completed the course and will be moving on to SheCodes Plus :) SheCodes has put me on the path to a brighter future and I am so grateful!

I always loved coding and regrated never dropping out computer science back in Uni. I decided to try out SheCodes Plus since I had such a great experience with lessons and the support system in SheCodes Basic. I have to admit this workshop was very changeling as it goes more in-depth in JS and html. Was difficult in balancing a full-time job & these lessons, but it is so rewarding and proud to say I made it!!
When I started SheCodes Plus I was about to start a new job at a large company as a UX designer where I would be working with developers on the designs I made for mobile apps and websites. I wanted to be able to speak their language by learning how to code. SheCodes Plus really helped me transition into my new role, even just by teaching me terminology like "Calling an API" (and knowing how to do it in Javascript!) or being able to read code when I would inspect a page on our company site for things I needed to reference. It gave me a lot more confidence in my skills - especially with being the "new girl" on the team. SheCodes Plus really focuses on Javascript which I found to be the trickiest of the three coding languages (HTML, CSS, and Javascript - I'm very comfortable with CSS now lol). Overtime I started to get the hang of it especially when we got to the Vanilla Javascript stuff. I love how Matt teaches and everything is so well structured its easy to follow along. The community is great, too, because they are so fast to get back to you when you have an issue and help you get through it (This is super handy for Javascript btw!). I cannot wait to jump into Responsive! I wasn't sure if I was going to do the React course at first, but Matt kept saying that things get a lot more straightforward when we get to React, so I will now be doing that one, too, and finish off all the courses! Thanks so much for all you do Matt, team, and SheCodes! This is a fun course!
SheCodes Plus really gets into the details and give you an advanced insight. The lessons and the challenger need your full attention, but I can not describe it any other way, it's really great! You are encouraged and challenged and will notice a fast progress. If you want to start your career in tech, this class is for you.
SheCodes Plus has not been easy or a walk on a bed of marshmallows. Multiple late night sessions for me, but the things learned has been phenomenal with practices that reinforces the concepts of the things that we have learned over the past 8 weeks.
SheCodes Plus is an amazing course to expand on what you learn in the Basics course - and it's so much fun! Javascript can be confusing at times but Matt is an excellent teacher and explains it so well at every step. It was almost 3 months of quite hard work but the result is worth it βοΈ SheCodes Plus requires more effort than Basic workshop but if you like challenges πͺ then this is something for you. I got bunch of new extra useful information about API and JS plus all resources necessary to build my very first application. Matt as always is a great teacher who knows how to explain the most difficult stuff the easiest possible way.
