I enjoyed the course a lot. The course doesn't require any previous programming experience and is suitable for absolute beginners who would like to try programming but don't know where to start. In the beginning, I just wanted to support the team for giving Ukrainian women an opportunity to learn web development during these harsh times. And in the end, I actually had a lot of fun doing all the homework, watching the videos, and learning. I have already recommended this course to a friend of mine.
I was quite hesitant before signing up because I didn't think I would be able to learn how to code. But the lessons are very well designed: the videos are short which makes it accessible, the exercises are fun but difficult enough to make it challenging and there is constant interaction with the SheCodes team π©βπ» in case you have questions. Also, since English is not my native language, I was afraid that learning to code would be a double challenge for me. But Matt speaks slowly and is super clear, plus there are tools like Close Caption to help those who have English as their second or third language. I highly recommend it; this course proves that we can all code πͺπ½πͺπ½.

I have really enjoyed the Basics course. I had watched some videos previously, but I wanted some more practical experience and to see whether coding was the right direction for me. This was a great way to gain some knowledge, experience and confidence in coding; before thinking about committing to a more advanced course requiring more investment (of time and money!). The exercises are really helpful and a great way to put the knowledge you have learned into practice. I would recommend this workshop for women, who have never been involved in coding. However, if you already know some basics, this one would be easy for you, but still useful, if you learnt other coding languages, just to see how things work, because they are pretty similar.
The lessons are bite-sized and not too overwhelming. I definitely learned a lot! I took the basics course and it was a great refresher/ beginners course! I would definitely recommend this to everyone looking into coding!
I'm positively surprised by how much I learned in such a short amount of time. The challenges are indeed challenging, but the project was extra fun. I like that Matt does not simply read a script but is passionate about his endeavor. He continuously shows me how to help myself. After the course, I will know where to look and find more information. The course is partially exhausting, but every minute invested is 100% worth it. Two thumbs up! I highly recommend it.

Learning React was hard but so interesting! I ran in to some problems but always was able to figure it out with some help. I'm really happy with the results and I'm quite proud of what I've accomplished. Highly recommend doing this workshop since it really added to the knowledge of how everything works.

Such a bitter-sweet moment right now, this is my 4th and last workshop with SheCodes, and what can I say, I'm beyond thankful to Matt and the team for creating this incredible platform to teach women how to code and break into the tech industry. Just 6 months ago I didn't know what HTML was and now I can code using React. I highly recommend SheCodes, a challenging but fun way to learn how to code.
For someone who was completely new to coding I think this would be a great beginners course. I found that the lesson were easy to follow along with so I never really had any problems when understanding concepts. If you ever need help though, there is always help in slack. The people on there are very friendly so don't be afraid to ask for help. Overall I would really recommend this course for everyone.

I liked the SheCodes workshop a lot! It's very simple to understand and I learned CSS, HTML and am beginning to learn JavaScript. I would recommend it to anyone who is a beginner coder or w/o any coding knowledge whatsoever.

This course was easy to follow as someone who has zero coding experience. As challenging as the content was, Matt explained things well and really went step by step. For problems I could not solve immediately, I could look back at past lessons, or use the research methods he recommended to find solutions.

Wow! What an experience! Being able to work on your own pace and still be able to get it done by the deadline is a closer step to meeting your goal. I'm detail-oriented and organized so I like my setup to look a certain way as it did get frustrating at times but the satisfaction of getting it done is all worth it. The courses could get difficult but honestly is was fun learning a new skill and having a hands on experience like you would in a classroom. I really learnt a lot since I started my coding journey, but I find that React was defiantly the most challenging. One thing I would say is that it can get frustrating, but you just have to push through, sometimes even take a break. But once you manage to get it working, you feel very accomplished. When I started I never expected to get this far and actually manage to build websites like I have done in the last couple of months. Really recommend anyone looking to get into coding but not sure how, the pace of the course it great and you have a lot of support from the team.
