Waaw I can't believe this journey got to an end. I spent 3 amazing months learning how to code, from the induction learning CSS and HTML to JavaScript and React. It has been a great opportunity to be able to immerse myself in programming and I would definitely recommend these workshops to anyone who is interested in coding. I cannot explain how happy I am for being able to learn with Matt Delac and the SheCodes team, it was so inspiring that I applied to continue my studies in a Dev bootcamp, starting in April. React is a huge challenge but once you get the results it's so worth it! This course allows you to discover a new whole world but I wouldn't consider it enough to work as a Front End Developer. Thank you for this wonderful workshop on Front-End Development. It is very straight-forward and geared at teaching you how to build a functioning weather-app in no time. Additionally, every student learns how to create a project on GitHub and connect it to Netlify and use APIs for a web-app. I will admit that there will be tough learning curves. However, there is a wonderful Slack-Community where we help each other out. If you don't have too much coding knowledge, I would highly recommend this.
It has been a long and intense journey to the end of this Workshop. It is challenging and frustrating at times, but once you understand how things work, there's no stopping you! I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning React.

I thought the 3-week coding class was an excellent introduction to coding and definitely recommend it! Although I found Java Script to be more difficult than HTML and CSS, it came together in the final product. I even used coding to fix a program that I use at work!
It was great being able to see the fun things you can create in such a short period of time. The lessons were fun, clear and at a good pace. The challenges after the lessons really helped with actually understanding the materials and figuring out how to apply all of the information. Highly recommend!

SheCodes is AMAZING! I've been majoring in Computer Science for over a year now, and I've been recently interested in front-end development and learning a few new languages. The workshops were the perfect place for me to get started over winter break! Matt takes things step-by-step and zooms in to explain the nitty gritty of the code. He neither makes it too long and superfluous nor too vague; it is just the right amount of explanation! In addition, you have this whole team of women around the world standing with you as a united force learning these new coding languages -- all of which are there at your disposal to help guide you and learn with you through Slack chat. Professional help is also available-- and they truly do help with whatever question or trouble you may have! (This is a unique twist from undergraduate help in college... ahaha.) Videos can be fast-forwarded 30 seconds or rewound for 30 seconds. You can always go back to previous lessons. The best part? A review of the video and significant concepts are left underneath each video. I have never encountered such a helpful platform to help me get started. Matt flawlessly lets us grow wings throughout the lessons as well so that we can find outside coding help and experiment for when we won't have a helpful guide in our future coding adventures. I recommend SheCodes to any woman interested in learning front-end development (website-building) or coding in general. What are you waiting for?

I had always been interested to look into coding. Yet, as a female you rarely see the opportunities a career in IT holds. I am very happy to have signed up for the 3-weeks SheCodes Workshop as I now have a basic understanding on web development. Matt explains everything in a very practical way, which is great! I did not expect to build my very own (interactive) landing page as final project - I am more than satisfied and highly recommend SheCodes to others!

When I just started university, I decided to study engineering (in business, but still engineering) ... we had to learn to program and I recollect that it was frustrating for me because nothing came out and I did not understand the logic of programming. In the end, I changed careers, but I always had the idea of one day really learning how to use my computer beyond social media and Excel. The SheCodes course proved to me that programming can be easy if they explain it to you well. I would recommend this course to any woman who wants to improve herself, get out of her comfort zone and, above all, who believes that programming is difficult.
