Continuing my coding journey with the SheCodes Responsive workshop as soon as it was available was a no-brainer for me π. I started from scratch, with zero coding knowledge and although there are some tricky parts (hello JavaScript! π) I feel like I've learned so so much during the last weeks (or rather months π). When pandemic hit and kids are staying home, I decided to have a career change to be able to find a job that will allow to me stay home while working and at the same stay with the kids. I thought about coding because I've dealt with css and html then a little bit of java and perl before but I didn't dwell in it because I thought it was sooo complicated for me. I then searched for an online class and found SheCodes. The lessons were easy to follow. Matt lead the lessons like it was an in-person class. I found that it's not as complicated as I thought it was. I would recommend SheCodes to anyone who'll ask me.
I work for a small legal charity which means that we all have a very hands-on role in all aspects of the work we do - including keeping our website up-to-date! I did this course to improve my skills and learn something new (especially during lockdown). I learned so much and had way more fun doing it than I thought I would! I would highly recommend this course to any women; it's a must.
I've tried many coding courses before and SheCodes has been the only one that I've not only managed to complete but had fun doing it! Matt's teaching style is fun and friendly, highly recommend!
I completed this course while on maternity leave to see if coding might be something I'd like to pursue when I go back to work. Having a young baby; I struggled to complete the assignments in time, however SheCodes were very understanding and I extended my deadlines with ease. Would definitely recommend to people that are brand new to coding, Matt goes everything in a very detailed manner that doesn't overwhelm you. The videos are easy to follow along to and courses can be done at anytime which provides great flexibility. The only things I didn't like was having to do the first two lessons on codepen and then switching to VS Code for projects after and having the CSS and JS done within the HTML file (but I am sure that it's like that so the team can grade things easier).
Very useful understanding of the basics of coding. I would recommend it to anyone as a starter.

I started with the introduction workshop and continued with Plus. While I highly recommend the introductory workshop to get an overview of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I was a bit disappointed with the follow-up course and wished to go more in-depth into the topics. Nonetheless, it's a great concept with great support throughout the course.

Matt is a great teacher and keeps you motivated throughout the whole course. I love the workshop's flexibility, which allows you to manage your time and organise your learning in a way that suits you. It provides you with the basics of front-end development. I decided to take part in SheCodes because I wanted a platform that really empowers women to take charge in their adventures of learning how to code. I found the lessons very informative and helpful. I think there was a fine line between helpful and challenging. It was challenging enough that I had to do research to explore the topics and really have fun with the different languages. I highly recommend this program for anyone on a budget and wants a more intensive experience.

I'm basically with accounting background and eventually moved into testing line. So, I was very keen to join this workshop but at the same time was concerned to know if I can follow the coding language or not! Surprisingly, this workshop gave me a new confidence! I was so motivated to work on each challenges everyday on my own time. The support given during the workshop is great! I started to feel connected with apex app development work now. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is interested know/learn on how the coding works! If I can do it having little kid and full-time job anyone can do it.Cheers π

There's a lot of info crammed into a short amount of time but it's done in a manageable way so that my brain didn't hurt too bad! It's pretty cool how I was able to amalgamate all the lessons into a final project. I have even able to make the final project related to my work as an elementary teacher. The support when I needed it was excellent but I do strongly recommend researching bugs and questions on your own because lots of additional learning happens this way! I spent way more than 5 hours per week but maybe this is because I nerd-ed out more than necessary? As with any new learning, would have to keep up the practice in order to maintain all this new knowledge. Definitely recommend!

Build a weather app from scratch which I'm very proud of. Cost me a lot of hours, sweat and tears but i succeeded. Implemented different Icons and colors to make it more fun. I'm really happy now with the result. Highly recommend this workshop for anybody who is interested in coding. It's hard work and very frustrating at times but total worth it. Can't wait for the next workshop to begin.
