Learning how to code HTML, CSS and JavaScript with SheCodes was the best decision I made. Easy to follow and challenging at the same time. I would highly recommend the workshop to all interested in learning.
I have always been interested in coding. I, unfortunately, was told I was not a good fit for coding when I enrolled in college due to my lifestyle (wife and mother of two). I decided to follow the counselor's advice and in 2020 completed my major in Creative Writing. Throughout my school years, however, I took some coding classes and came across SheCodes--a coding program specifically built for women! Now that I am more confident and have more time for myself, I signed up with SheCodes ^_^ The lessons are broken down in a way that makes learning to code approachable, and the final project truly involved all that I learned. The SheCodes support team was very kind, understanding, and helpful. It's an efficient and easy-to-follow program, I recommend it to all.
A well structured course with lots of great learnings and challenges. It's definitely challenging at times but very rewarding. I would highly recommend this course.
As a computer engineer, I recommend that having programming skills is a best asset to increase personal and work skills.
I have frequently come across SheCodes ads on Facebook, but I was hesitant at first. I thought it's going to be difficult and eventually my motivation would fade. However, as I moved past lessons after lessons, I realized coding was so much fun and easy to navigate! Matt was clear with his instructions and made the lessons concise yet understandable. The team was also very responsive. I highly recommend this!
This was a great course to complete to dip your feet into front end development. The videos were easy to follow along with and I liked the mini challenges along the way that helped me cement my learnings. I would recommend this course to friends and family and it felt so great to build my very first landing page!!

This class was truly breathtaking. I really had a great time challenging myself. It was not all easy, however, the great team of coders and other learners are there to assist and guide you. If you are interested in coding and learning about software, I would greatly recommend SheCodes Basics. I'm just a freshman in high school and I was able to do it. That's just how "simple" it is βΊοΈ.

Great entry level course! The course continued to build upon skills and helped reinforce new knowledge with assignments. Matt even takes the time to show you multiple resources that will help further your knowledge. I recommend this course for anyone interested in programming!
At first, I wasnβt sure that an online course would be good idea to learn coding, I thought coding would be strongly hard but Matt explain all steps in the easiest way, I'm so happy that I decided to participate in this course and recommend to all who loves learning coding:)
At first I was pretty unsure if I could manage this. But with Matt's comprehensive tutorials (and multiple rewinds of the videos) I've managed to build a website from scratch. In the end I didnt have to look up everything, which showed me that I had indeed improved and retained some knowledge. Highly recommended.

An excellent course! This course was very challenging and a big step up from the introduction course and I can't believe how much we covered in such a short period of time. Matt is an excellent teacher and I definitely made use of the real-time support and guidance from the other teachers more in this course than the introductory course. I would highly recommend SheCodes Plus!
This workshop is harder than the Basics workshop because there is a lot more to learn. I do not recommend binging the videos for this workshop in one day because the challenges and homework are more time-consuming and more difficult to complete. I advise taking notes and for videos that do not include challenges, I recommend doing the example shown in the video alongside Matt.
I highly recommend this course to anybody who is interested in Web design or Programming/Coding. Matt has an awesome way to teach you everything in a very quick and fun way. I love the challenge-solution-model, it kept me motivated the whole way through. Thank you very much for the first 3 weeks, I found a new passion for myself!

This workshop has been so great; I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn about coding or web development! I've learned so much in just 3 weeks! The learn-then-apply format has been excellently executed by SheCodes, using a lesson + challenge + solution for each topic. This was super easy to follow and can be done at any pace, starting and stopping at any time. The cheat sheets are also great references for the homework, project, and future use. I like that the content of the workshop is modern and we learn to be resourceful in a modern way (using google searches to learn more, Slack channels to solve problems with our classmates, etc.). I enjoyed this responsive workshop so much. Learning the flex box method and Bootstrap grid allowed me to take my coding skills to the next level. If you want to learn to code your own designs or for any reason, I would highly recommend this workshop. Matt is an awesome instructor!

If you work in Digital Marketing, I would definitely recommend finishing at least the SheCodes Basic workshop. You will have a better understanding of how elements on the landing pages work, and how to improve them for better on-page SEO.

I didn't like coding at first so I was pretty hesitant to give this a try but Matt explains it so well! I ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would. They weren't lying that even if you have a background in coding you'll still be able to learn things. Highly recommended if you're looking for new challenges!

I took this course because I want to create my personal webpage to "show off"my Instructional Design and Training portfolio. I relearned HTML and CSS, from many years ago. (smile) Not only did I become familiar with the lastest version of HTML and CSS, I also became familiar with Javascript. (Wow). Learning these tools was very exciting. The structure of the course (micro-lessons) coupled with the exercises facilitated mastering the concepts. I know a little and now I'm dangerous (smile), however, I know I need to learn more. I want to learn more! With this format I know I can learn more quite easily. The support staff on Slack was excellent and provided timely feedback. I would highly recommend this course.

I had never thought that I would enjoy the workshop this much! I had taken a couple of coding classes before but always left with a feeling of overwhelming. SheCodes lets you learn at your own pace, and each video is quite short and concise, which doesn't cram you with a lot of new technical knowledge. I liked that we always had challenges after a video and weekly homework to refresh our memories. Super recommend SheCodes for those we are even slightly interested in coding, just start with SheCodes Basic and see how you enjoy it!

Would recommend all the ScheCodes workshops to anyone! I learned so much in Basic, Plus, and then React. There's nothing like building something yourself and seeing it come to life. I found coding very rewarding. I was also able to fit it in around my full time position. Every week day from 6-8 you could find me watching the lessons and completing the challenges and homework - and with that schedule, I was able to get through it without feeling stressed. Extensions are super felxible too when life gets in the way. 100/100!

I always thought I wasn't smart enough to understand how to write code. I'd tried to learn in the past, and each time I struggled to feel capable in writing something on my own. Someone recommended SheCodes, and I'm glad I gave it a try. I feel like I have a much better understanding of what the different pieces do and of the syntax. I feel like I really can code, and I feel capable for the first time.

This is a really effective course to start with for newbies to the world of coding like myself. It's easy to follow, with clear instructions and examples provided to guide us through each step. I always thought of myself as technologically challenged and the idea of creating something from scratch would have been unimaginable a few weeks ago. The SheCodes lessons were structured so well that each challenge gave me a sense of accomplishment. More than just the coding knowledge, this course gave me the confidence in myself to embark on a coding related career. Honestly can't recommend it highly enough.
The Basic Course is a good starting point for anyone who is interested in coding. The instructional videos are short and straight to the point. This makes it easy for anyone to follow along and complete the course at their own pace. This was such a fun course and I recommend it to everyone. For the last three years, I have taught second grade in an elementary school setting. During the pandemic, I found a passion for technology and teaching online (unpopular opinion!). I have always loved designing and creating my own resources but had little knowledge on the subject. I realized a couple months ago that I would love to get into the tech world but didn't know where to start. When I attended the free workshop I was blown away by Matt's ability to effectively communicate how to code. I knew I could pick up on it quickly so I joined the course. The last 3 weeks have been so much fun! The course is clear and concise. Matt does a phenomenal job breaking down HTML, CSS and JavaScript into digestible lessons. The challenges really push you and give you a productive struggle. I highly recommend this course!
I would absolutely recommend this course for any beginning or someone who's interested in strengthening their chops! Be forewarned you will have to do a lot of research on your own but I think that's what makes it fun and really helps you learn. Be Brave!
