I'm glad I followed this through to React, it really helped see the potential and the world of possibilities when it comes to coding.
I admire Matt Delac's teaching method. He made it easier to comprehend something that seems complex and advance by breaking down the methods. I feel more confident in working with React.
Incredibly challenging and equally interesting course. I am in awe with the potential of coding, and I particularly enjoyed learning React. SheCodes is an exceptionally good platform in guiding the learning journey of a coding analphabet as I was. The online support provided is exceptional and help you not lose your path in the forest of coding symbols.
I really recommend the SheCodes coding workshops! I started with the free coding class, then decided to do the SheCodes Basics, now I finished the SheCodes Plus!! Completing the SheCodes Plus React Workshop over the last couple of months has been a great experience from start to finish. The coding in this course got a lot more difficult, but I found that I was able to retain the information a lot better than I thought I was able to when watching the videos. I highly recommend this course and I'm looking forward to the React workshop!
SheCodes gave me more understanding how coding works! Matt's lesson plans are easy to follow and include hands on learning. I have a full-time job and never thought I would be able to do any coding courses with my schedule. What a ride this has been. I cannot believe I did it, I built an entire website app! It's crazy to look back to January, when my journey with SheCodes started and realize how far I have come, all the way from the intro workshop where everything was new and scary and amazing, all at the same time to today, finishing my project, delivering a fully functioning weather app. I am beyond grateful for this incredible experience, I feel SO accomplished. SheCodes opened up a path into a possible new career and I am looking forward to jump right in! Now it's time to get some well deserved rest and get readyyy to start the React course :)
This was a great introduction to React and has allowed me to springboard and understand more complex React features, StackOverflow questions and discussions which I never would have thought possible in such a short time!
The Plus program boosted my self-confidence. It provided me with all the necessary tools, documentation and support to build my web app project, I couldn't be more proud of the results. I can truly say SheCodes Basics lighted a spark, SheCodes Plus nourished the flame. I can't wait to start the React program!
Finally! I completed it in 8 weeks! Due to moving house+workloads+sick, I was "dragging" the lesson/homework around 2weeks. Luckily Matt's lessons are detailed and easy to follow up, and also thanks to JoΓ£o for helping me point out the error that I have made. (basic structure but you know sometimes you will miss it). Now I super excited to move to the next level React!

I had a blast matching backgrounds and images with all the different weather conditions. With JS I can design some more interactive screens and have a really cool user experience.I am really excited to start the SheCodes REACT course and have a head start on my dev team's react project. I have loved doing the 3 week Coding workshop! I was brand new to coding and just wanted to learn the basics to see how I got on; I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the course! Every week offers a new challenge to learn and adapt to the languages of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Its program is a flow into the next step, that way you create what was just learned. Smart feedback loop. I feel confident enough to move forward into the Plus and React programs. Another Big bonus is the community that we connect with on Slack to find solutions while participating in each lesson.
After 11 years of gap, I started updating my knowledge about computers by doing some free courses, I was frustrated as there is no particular way. While doing these tutorials, I came across SheCodes workshop which matched my expectation to pursue my goal to become a front -end developer. SheCodes courses are well designed and easy to learn. In terms of easy to learn, the courses has not only learning tutorials but also some short challenges and solutions. This course is incredibly useful and it's great to see the progress in building the app. It was challenging and fun at the same time. React is much easier to use and understand than VanillaJS, so I felt less overwhelmed in terms of notions and learnings. The lessons are well-structured and the Slack community is supportive in the case you feel stuck.
This course really challenged me compared to the previous two courses but I'm proud I made it through and I learned so much about React. The classes are easy to follow and I'm very happy that Slack is there is I ever get stuck on coding! :)
This workshop was awesome! I really enjoyed being able to expand my skills by learning React. I also liked being able to apply these skills to the already familiar project of the weather app. Having a community through the Slack was great in order to connect with others and ask questions.
SheCodes has become an outlet for me to learn and dive into the world of coding. After completing the SheCodes workshop, like many others, I was hooked! I continued on to SheCodes Plus which both challenged and humbled me but nonetheless made me want to keep pushing and learning. This workshop is amazing and coding with SheCodes was an awesome experience! The learning experience was off the chart, in so little time I got to learn a lot. It was extremely educational, practical and inspiring, with an amazing teacher (Matt) and all the mentors in Slack that helped us through every task. The React program was very difficult and rewarding. I would say that I definitely feel like there is more to learn, and I can see the potential that this language provides on the heels of JS Vanilla. Throughout my experience with SheCodes, I am more and more convinced that programming is a life skill.
I started my first SheCodes workshop back in August 2020 with no prior experience in coding. It's hard to imagine that I am now finishing my SheCodes React!!!π I would recommend it to everyone. The workshop allows you to go at your own pace and to directly apply your newfound coding knowledge in interactive challenges/homeworks. Because of how amazing the workshop is built I manage to do it while working also as a nurse π©π»ββοΈ

The SheCodes 3-week workshop was the perfect introduction into coding. Matt is a fantastic teacher - he explains everything so clearly, making it accessible to everyone (even complete beginners). The course content was well-paced, practical, and enjoyable. I really enjoyed this workshop and learning about React! SheCodes Plus was definitely a challenge for me, so transitioning into React felt like a breeze (at first), but I know there is still so much more to learn! If there's one thing I would want more of, it would be: more explanation on *why* things work the way they do. The video content is all super helpful especially watching Matt problem solve on the spot, as they come up. Whenever I ran into issues, I was thankful to have Slack as a resource, but I do wish I knew how to troubleshoot for myself a little better. I know that will come with more practice though, and I'm grateful to have gotten the basics down in this course and working on my final project! π₯³
Loved the experience and layout of the lectures. I am definitely pursuing a career as a Software developer! I've already begun learning more languages and I have enrolled in the React workshop.

This has been an amazing journey with SheCodes, going from someone with little-to-no coding knowledge, to someone that has been able to build weather applications in both vanilla JavaScript and React. Another interesting module - definitely struggled more with React but I got it done in the end. I would definitely say there is a bigger gap between the lessons and project for react than there was with Vanilla.

SheCodes has been an amazing experience. I was studying electronic engineering in my home country, where I took some computing classes. Even though I found these classes interesting, I didn't develop a passion for programming back then. It was just until I came to the US that I started building up a passion for this amazing career, and SheCodes played a huge role in this. If you've found programming interesting before, I highly recommend you SheCodes; this course is going to make you fall in love with coding. You'll acquire many skills in JavaScript, HTLM, CSS, bootstrap, a very useful and highly demanded library of JavaSript called React, and so much more.
It has been so interesting learning about React and continuing my coding journey, but it has definitely been the most challenging workshop so far! React is surely a developing resource worth to learn and try out, although there were many times I wanted to give up on it, as it looks slightly more complicated and less intuitive at first sight than what I had previously learned in the JavaScript modules. But, overall, it gave me more insights on what coding's endless possibilities are and more experience on how to advance into coding. I have never ever considered a career in tech but with everything that's been going on with the economy, I wanted to learn some new skills, skills that are in high demand. I came across the SheCodes a few times and even signed up to the webinar a few times without attending. Yup... I know. I finally decided to give it a try and at least listen to the free intro course. While I was watching Matt code, I said to myself, " I can do that!" So I finally decided to take the 3 week course. I found myself surprising drawn to the lessons and I found the challenges, though frustrating at times, almost like a strategy game. I like this coding thing and so I'm deciding to pursue the React Plus training program to keep this momentum going. I thought that Matt was a great teacher. I did like that he challenged us to do some research on our own in order to complete some of the challenges because it's just real life. I feel that I will be empowered to be able to find solutions on my own if I need to. When I couldn't figure it out however, I was always able to find help through Slack. Invaluable! I would recommend this program to anyone interested in something challenging and surprisingly fun.
Definitely tougher than previous workshops. Need to plan out the structure and flow of your components before getting stuck into the code. Still undecided if React makes things easier than vanilla JS. Good taster exercise.

I liked the react workshop, but I think it was vague in some moments. I felt they didn't explain very well a few subjects. So, I think some classes should be taped again with more explanations.
