Had so much fun building the Travel Project!
My first 3 weeks with SheCodes has been quite the ride, I was very new to the world of coding with very little experience and there was a lot of information that I had learn and it was overwhelming, but I feel as though there is room for me to get better at this craft as long as I push myself harder. Matt was a great instructor, he was able to make me understand everything better and I am proud of my first project.
Doing the plus add-on really helps get more practice and familiarity with the overall Plus curriculum. On top of it all you have another impressive project you can add to your portfolio!
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at the SheCodes workshop and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in coding and web development. The workshop was very interactive, which allowed us to have a lot of hands-on experience. We were able to practice what we had learned by building our own websites and projects. I also liked that the workshops provided us with helpful resources such as cheat sheets and reference materials, which I found very useful.
It was VERY helpful to understand more how to make your project responsive. It made it so much more clear for me. Also, project was fun and great to practice your coding skills!

Such a great course! I learnt so much! The important aspects of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript were taught very well through bitesize videos, rather than tutorials that were hours long. This made the experience less overwhelming and the information easier to digest. Great for those with shorter attention spans! The structure of the curriculum made it easy to refer to past videos when working on a later project. This course has provided me with a solid foundation to build upon.
It was a great experience to start learning coding with this course! If you're new in this field, like me, be sure that you have a step-by-step guide through basic HTML, CSS, and JS in an amazing community of instructors, mentors and students. Also, you are going to do lots of fun challenges, homework, and projects, which makes it very practical.
SheCodes basics was a freshening reminder of the little coding knowledge I had. The way Matt explains things so directly and understandably, with technical but also, very understandable and non-technical explanations, just eased this right in for me. I had a bit of a harder time because of the little time I had to work on this, but as the course progressed, my passion for each challenge and homework increased, until I decided to be creative and have fun with my project as well. It was a challenge, trying to figure out how to exactly turn my idea to life, and I was able to! :) The help of all the tutors, the guide of Matt, and the realization that this is something I want to do from now on led me here, and I wouldn't change it for a thing. Taking this add-on after venturing into React for the first time in the React workshop was great additional practice for me. This mini workshop helped me cement React concepts (how components work and how they connect/how to troubleshoot) and made me more comfortable with applying this to my own projects. Seeing the instructor work out bugs on the tutorials (the thinking process and steps he takes) helped me with doing my own debugging. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the workshop SheCodes has to offer.
Challenging and fun at the same time, the homework helps to stay on track and the satisfaction of the final project never gets boring. Another fantastic workshop, thank you!

I have always wanted to learn how to code and have tried self learning but never found the right place to start. This was a great introduction to HTML, CSS and JavaScript and I have learned so much in a short time with the weekly projects and deadlines.
This was a great project. I found it very beneficial to have previously done this weather app in JavaScript before doing it in React.

I am thankful for Matt and the SheCodes Team to help me proceed in my journey. This project was challenging and so much fun, creating my very first 'World Clock'.
Building a project step by step along with Matt has been great, I'm really proud of my work! However, two main challenges I had with SheCodesPlus: 1. The JavaScript concepts are oftentimes not thoroughly explained, it remains for the most part quite superficial, you WILL need to dig deeper on your own. I personnally studied with a bunch of Youtube videos and a Codecademy course in parallell. 2. Towards the end of the project, everything revolving around API needs to be updated. In Matt's video, he uses an older API than the one you're supposed to use. So it's quite tricky to follow his steps and understand everything. The Slack chat can be really helpful in this moment, which is very nice. All in all I'm happy with my work, happy with my progress, and the support on Slack is great. But I remain slightly disappointed by the video courses which left a lot of questions unanswered. That's the beauty of code, you might say. The learning never stop!
SheCodes is a one of a kind coding bootcamp. I am really impressed with the ways the lessons are taught. From basic HTML, CSS, and JS to the final project, I can say that I learned things from this. Given that I got the course for free, this is a good foundation for me to continue in coding. SheCodes is a good platform for everyone, beginner to expert. From their good videos to their new AI feature, Athena, who helped me in some of my codes. Thank you SheCodes team and Matt for giving me this opportunity. I hope that more women could learn from SheCodes. :)
I must say that this course has been my favorite, completing the project in a responsive and SEO-friendly way has been a challenge but at the same time it has been satisfying. At the end of each lesson, delivery of the challenge and review of the solution, I wanted to continue to the next lesson because, in each of these steps, Matt taught us information that I did not know and tips that in my case allowed me to understand much better how to improve the User interaction with the websites. I look forward to the next course.
Truthfully, I never thought I would one day learn how to code, let alone learn how to work with multiple languages synchronized together. I am immensely proud of myself for achieving this feat and grateful for Matt and the SheCodes team for every bit of help and support they provided. I cannot wait to go on and keep learning and growing with this new skill - here's to future projects!

It's been a great experience making my own portfolio website with SheCodes Responsive Workshop. I really like the way Matt explains on how a developer find solutions to the challenges that comes while developing a website from his own industry experience. In this workshop I worked on responsive design making using media queries, Bootstrap, CSS best techniques and Figma tool for designing. Feeling proud after developing my responsive portfolio website and super pumped up to create more projects with responsive design.
I loved continuing my learning journey with the Responsive workshop. Responsive is not an easy topic, but I feel like I now understand the basics of it and I'm ready to dive even deeper. The final project is a portfolio, which was a lot of fun to build and is going to be very helpful in my professional future.

This workshop is really well-structured: it helps you understanding the basics of coding step-by-step, giving you all the relevant information and essential resources to create your project. As a new learner, I really enjoyed every part of this course and I'm really glad I took the time to enroll and study something that, for me, was a completely unknown subject.

Building the Basics Add-On project taught me many valuable skills to level up a website design making the visual aspect layered and the site more interactive. I recommend this course as the logical next step in developing coding proficiency. And did I say it was a lot of fun!

Initially, I found it to be a little difficult, but I was happy to notice that we were working on the main project the entire time and learning it bit by bit. It became a welcome and engaging challenge for me. I had so much fun and feel like I learned so much!!

The course was pretty fun and really easy to follow. I enjoyed that every new thing I learned I immediately had to try. It really helped to get through the learning process. The projects/homework at the end of each week were really fun too!
A great course to gain confidence on how to code without the use of Bootstrap etc. As always, Matt encourages you to build a project that you are passionate about to keep you going when you face challenges and start to get stuck on a problem.
I felt like the previous workshops gave me a better understanding of the language. I am not walking away from the React workshop feeling like I have a good beginner understanding of it. There were frequent comments about "this is really difficult, you don't need to know why this works this way, just do it" which doesn't help with ultimately understanding the framework. Additionally, while there is some merit in being able to adapt previous code to a new framework, I disliked not having a new project to work on. I wanted to work on a fresh project that would potentially need different types of logic employed. I felt a bit hoodwinked when I saw we were just doing the weather app again.
I am so glad that I took this React course with SheCodes because I learned so much. Coding is not easy but it does pay off at the end when you see your projects come to life and it feels good knowing you didn't quit. Coding is not for everyone and that is ok but if you can learn even the basics you already gained a skill you didn't have before.

I came back to this extra project after finishing SheCodes Plus, half as a refresher and the other half to complete an extra project. And I'm glad I did, because I learn a number of new tips and tricks in the extra project I would have otherwise had to struggle with. So glad I signed up for the Max package to be able to do these extra fun projects!
This course was an encouraging introduction to coding from scratch. The most exciting was the final project which allowed me to channel all I have learned in the past weeks while applying my skills as a designer to the project.
This course was super beneficial. I love how it went straight to the point and did not leave me in the tutorial loop hole. So glad I came out with a project under my belt, one that was so fun to do as well
This workshop was much needed! Learning how to make my projects responsive was a game changer and really beneficial. After finishing, I went through and edited my previous projects so now they look great no matter what screen size they are being viewed on!

SheCodes React was definitely one of my most challenging workshops. I took a lot of time to finish this project, but at the same time, it was fascinating! It's a pleasure to see the final result and to know what I accomplished in the 6 weeks. The SheCodes journey has elevated my desire to learn more and practice my skills in real-life projects. I enjoyed this workshop, I had no experience with code, and seeing how I was able to code the Final Project from scratch was a conquer! Matt's lessons are very clear and easy to follow. I recommend this workshop specially to girls with no background in code.

I always thought that I need to learn maths to be able to code anything and I could never bring to live my projects and ideas until I did my free class, I instantly felt for the satisfaction or writing a code that works even though it was something simple. I was in Tech Sales for around 12 years, but I always knew that was not my happy place. After I took the first SheCodes class, I finally realised that my real passion is not selling Tech, it's being in it! I decided to switch careers and I've never been this motivated and happy. To see my workshop project become a reality made me feel so proud and excited. Can't wait to continue with Responsive and React, and I'm very much looking forward to what my future will bring.
