I've had so much fun doing every project and challenge! I'm glad I chose She Codes to learn how to code. It is step-by-step and easy to understand everything.
This is an excellent course that's structured to take you through the entire process of making an online weather app that really works! Going from the HTML/CSS framework, to making the app responsive and integrating the API to include live data, was a huge learning curve for me. Matt gave a thorough overview of how to communicate with and manipulate data from an API, opening up some exciting functionalities to include in the project.
This project was fascinating, and it was fun to develop my portfolio

I finished the SheCodes Basics a few days ago, and moved on to the basics add-on, this was really good as I remembered many things from the SheCodes basic workshop but was able to apply new things such as grids/background images to my project. Super fun and easy to follow along with, I would recommend this to anyone wanted to further their basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Learning React with SheCodes was an incredible experience. I am very grateful for being given an opportunity to become a student here, obtain that much knowledge, and finally be able to create and implement my own projects!

I was excited to add an extra project to my portfolio through the Basics Add-on, and I'm so glad I ended up learning so much through it! I had fun learning new techniques while building a web page that involved something I really enjoy. Mat explains each concept in ways that are easy to follow, while still allowing room for each person to add their own ideas and creativity to their design. SheCodes continues to keep me excited and curious about coding and building my confidence in these skills at the same time.
For my SheCodes Plus project, I built a more sophisticated weather application that pulls real-time data from a live API! This app allows users to search for any city worldwide and instantly see current weather conditions, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, and even a weather icon that changes dynamically. I also implemented a 5-day forecast feature, giving users a detailed outlook. This project challenged me to work with API integration, asynchronous JavaScript (async/await), and more complex DOM manipulation. I learned how to handle API responses, manage loading states, and create a seamless user experienceβall while ensuring the app remained fully responsive across devices. It was incredibly rewarding to take my coding skills to the next level and build something functional, practical, and interactive! It's been such an incredible journey getting to this point! This React workshop was challenging but with every step I took forward, I gained more and more confidence and proved to myself that I am capable. During the creation of my Final Project, everything I learned came together and really started to click. Thanks to the technical support team, I was also able to further challenge myself with a conditional weather background feature that changes based off the weather along with the color palette. It was a really cool experience to have success as I "went rogue" and tried to challenge myself to develop a more distinguished project. I'm proud of my accomplishments and highly recommend this workshop for people who are up for the challenge and want to learn about React Development!
This project is by far the most challenging project yet. I have learned new technical skills such as weather API and integrated them into the project. I would like to give a big shoutout to Matt, Paul, Lisa, JoΓ£o, Vlada, and Bruno for always answering my questions.
A great addition to the skills learnt during SheCodes Basics course. The Basics Add-On course gave me the tools to take my existing coding skills to the next level, adding grids, transforms and other interactive elements which helped my final project come alive.

Loved doing the project and really appreciate the tips given by Matt that's used in real life working scenarios. Because of she codes I actually do enjoy coding as well as getting the full understanding on how it works!
When I realized that I have chance to be a student of SheCodes, it made my day! The teaching method is amazing! You are able to learn coding while coding for real and building up a project.
Another great workshop, where I got to challenge myself and really push myself out of my comfort zone. I learned about data attributes, setInterval, and the select element and got to create a really cool project.
SheCodes Basics and the add on project really got me addicted to the world of coding. I'd really recommend the add on as it gives you additional JavaScript and design skills that make your final project look much more sophisticated.

Can't believe that I finished this workshop! Definitely harder than the Basic WS but I learned so much in the past 2 months! And I really like the final project - the weather app! Great experience, when I got stucked I got quick answers on Slack so I never really felt stucked for long. I'm excited to start the next workshop!
Really enjoyed working on a multiple page, all responsive website that I could create from start to finish, including the design and using Github too. Took me a little longer this time but really great lessons and project to learn with.
The SheCodes Basics Workshop was an excellent refresher that helped me solidify my skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The information throughout the course was well presented, the instructor was very knowledgeable and the hands-on projects are very rewarding. This extra course was great. After working with a bit of date and time from the last project, I was eager to learn more. This course was perfect for learning about time zones and how to add them to a website. Matt makes it easy to follow, for a quick, but highly educational 2-week course.
During the workshop, I learned plenty of new techniques I later used for building my final project. The course contains lots of practical exercises. Most of them were challenging at the start, but by the end of the final week, I started to feel more confident and now have no doubt I will be able to use the new skills in my future projects. I highly recommend the SheCodes Responsive workshop.
I've been looking at programming for a long time, but I didn't dare to do it. Circumstances developed in such a way that a war broke out in my country, I had a third child, and I became a housewife. I don't remember exactly how, but fate directed me to the SheCodes site and I decided that it was time to learn coding. At the beginning of the course, I was afraid that I would not succeed, but while working on the final project, I realized that I was passionate about coding. Matt is a very inspiring teacher. He knows how to explain complex things simply. I'm so glad I chose SheCodes to learn and overcome my fear of coding. Now I'm looking forward to continuing my studies!

This was a challenging but incredibly rewarding course, building on the skills learned in the Basics syllabus. All my life I've tried new things. After countless fails and attempts, I eventually began to tell myself I wasn't good enough when approaching any new opportunity. Entering in, I knew I was way in over my head. But when SheCodes taught me how to code, for the first time in a lifetime I felt confident and proud of myself. I began dreaming about my projects and the code I've been working on. I began talking to myself in the shower about how I can fix the bug I've been working on. I became so intrigued on how other websites were made. Not only did SheCodes help me find my passion, but it helped me become smarter and grow mentally! My thinking process improved, my observations skills enhanced, I grew more patients while taking in information from people. SheCodes became my family and I couldn't be more happy to have it in my life.
In simple words, I am glad that I joined this program. I have had several web designing projects before but cause I never understood what exactly is going on there, I couldn't deeply connect to UI designing. The final project was the first time I knew what I was going to do and I did it without the desire to break my laptop in the middle of it. Thanks to the great instructor and his wonderful, friendly tips and explanations. I am looking forward continuing this field and start my professional career.

If the previous course was a bit of a learning struggle for me, She Codes Responsive was when I started to feel confident and having fun with CSS and Bootstrap. And can not underestimate how great it is to have deadlines and stay accountable, or else I could've just given up when I was stuck with my project. Luckily, all worries are behind and I've submitted my portfolio. And it's definitely a progress from what my first website looked like. Cheers!
SheCodes Plus was definitely a more challenging program! Nonetheless, the final project encouraged me to put all newly learned concepts/skills to use. I am also learning that practice and consistency are truly key when trying to learn/improve this particular kind of skillset .

Very well structured! I enjoyed a lot doing the challenges. At times was pretty hard, however, everything was well explained by Mat. If I ever got stuck, there were always answers on Slack or someone from the team was there to answer any of the questions. I thought I would never understand JS but this project was perfect to start with.

It was a great addon project that complements all the learnings from SheCodes Basics.
The program was clear and easy to follow through and practice on my own. Having a deadline for each homework and project was a huge help to keep track my work and motivates me to finish the program. I've learned so much in just 3 weeks with SheCodes Basics and can't wait to move on a more advanced program.
Completing this project was very challenging, there was a lot of work and even tears :) but I am proud of what I was able to create! I am very grateful and can't wait to continue learning more. I recommend SheCodes for all the girls, who want to code!

Its been a long time since ive taken a course that does not involve power point presentation s or watching the instructor read to me. Matt got right into it with "let me show you" followed by "now you do it"...there are also no quizzes but actual mini projects demonstrating you know how to do what he just showed, followed by a final project. This was sort of a refresher for me (i took a coding class over a decade ago) and thank you THANK YOU. I am not sure if I will pursue this (not for me) but what this course did was expand my realm of possibility and give me more confidence to tackle on other online courses. THANK you for making learning exciting again :) I have told several people to just take this course to see and experience what great teaching is just so they can be inspired to take more classes. Great job. Outstanding really.

Loved SheCodes Responsive! I have to admit I was struggling with Plus a bit especially after having a 6-month break in between workshops, as I felt rusty at coding. That's why I was adamant taking Responsive right after finishing Plus, and enjoyed much much more and I can genuinely say that was worth every penny. Now I'm onto the next one, and hopefully I'll be able to do some adds-on projects too! Just love the atmosphere here (even it's digital lol) and how learning to code is made so effortless by Matt! Keep up the good work π

This course helped me to believe in myself. Besides I enjoyed it very much. It's amazing to see how step by step my project became better.
SheCodes has been a great starting point for me to learn the very basics. It was easy to understand and there were lots of great resources linked throughout that I will continue to use. The projects were simple for a beginner and also allowed for more creativity if you did a little extra research or jumped in and had a bit of fun!

Great course with easy-to-follow lessons, very comfortable and flexible schedule. The last lessons made me excited to see my project progressed and "looked alive" and what I able to do after course. I really liked this extra project for responsive websites without using bootstrap. It's always good to know how to do this without extra tools for when it's necessary!
Few months ago I could not write a single line of code but today I have built a few projects that I am absolutely proud of.
It was such an amazing opportunity to learn new skill at the end of the day, it was not easy at the beginning but with practice and working on the project decidedly. It tuned out right.
Once again, I had lots of fun during this last Workshop, so that I am actually sad that it was the last one. I could not be prouder of everything that I have learned and accomplished during this last few months. It was a mix of work and fun to go through all the different projects that were assigned to us. I know this is game-changing for me and I hope my career follows π

Very nice workshop! I enjoyed learning about grids, transform, and other CSS properties! I feel like I'm getting more used to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and it was fun putting the project together using all of those! I love how everything is taught in an easy to understand way and you can always go back to the video to refresh your memory and understand it better. I also really like the challenges and how they give you good practice on doing something you just learned about so you get more knowledge and experience. I feel like I'm learning a lot!

I really enjoyed making this weather-app project! I was able to use many things I learned before as well as learned a lot of new skills and techniques in coding, such as API, GIT, Hosting, etc.
I've loved this course! It's really well paced, easy to follow and allows you to get hands on with building sites straight away. The final project is a lot of fun and allows you to be super creative.
Learning React was a challenge that I really enjoyed. Impressive to see how far I've come in programming in just a few months with SheCodes. I've come from zero to a great project in JSX that I didn't know I could accomplish. Special thank you to Matt and the SheCodes amazing team willing to help me 24h every day!

What an enjoyable experience! π As a graphic/website designer I knew the very basics and have "winged" my way up until this point on my own website and learning along the way for client work. I still learnt SO much during this basics course that has given me complete clarity and understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and more confidence in my abilities and work. The classes are super easy to follow and the projects are really satisfying as you can (literally) see the results of your hard work. Thank you Matt for creating such an excellent platform to learn with. Cannot wait to complete the rest of the courses!
