SheCodes Responsive has been one of the most challenging one. Although it was challenging, it was an incredible experience. I was able to learn the wide range of programming languages.I feel more confident in my ability to build and deploy projects on my own. I highly recommend this bootcamp to anyone looking to break into the tech industry.
This workshop made me able to build an app with react and node, wich I think is an huge skill to empower my portofolio. This was the most challenging project until now, but I'm glad to made it.

A fun project that I would use in the future π
Transitioning into project management since April 2022 and I have been taking a series of courses online, I joined a forum of project managers online and one thing that was mentioned to keep me ahead in this role is I should know the basics of Coding. surprisingly I am a medical laboratory scientist and have never coded in my life because I believe these are roles for men not until I came across SheCodes during my search for a platform to learn to code. this journey has been great and as someone with zero knowledge who now knows the basics of coding, it blows my mind. I am really grateful to the team on slack for their quick response to questions and to Matt you are amazing. joining the SheCodes plus class as soon as possible because, with the basic knowledge, I don't think project management will be enough maybe I can be a web developer or a skilled engineer...

SheCodes Plus helped me a lot to get a deeper knowledge and understanding of JS and hosting websites, which I will use in my daily work. Although there were some really challenging parts, I had a lot of fun to solve the challenges and creating my project.

I was initially interested in the workshop to familiarize myself with coding and enhance my work with software and game localization. I am now much more confident to work with software-related projects, all thanks to the practical skills I learned in this course.
Matt's explanations are excellent, as they always are and very clear. The content is really interesting and it makes you want to go deeper into the topics covered. I enjoyed researching a different design from those chosen for previous projects, inspired by vintage watches.

Interesting introduction to coding, I appreciated the short videos followed by challenges and the structure of the workshop (with deadlines, homework, the project) which helped to stay motivated and focused.
SheCodes is an excellent course for both beginners and those trying to refresh their brain. I tried teaching myself back in 2021 and was frustrated because I was using a free site that just made you do all of the reading and wasn't very great at explanations of different concepts. I love how SheCodes is very interactive. The formatting of the video, challenge, and then explaining the solution is very effective. I also love all of the free tools such as the curated CSS gradients, cheatsheets, and all of the CSS generators. They were very helpful and fun to use for my final project so that I could easily and quickly test out what would work best (especially the generators). I would recommend SheCodes to anyone.
A timezone tracker that displays the current time in different cities around the world. I used JavaScript to handle date/time logic and DOM manipulation, ensuring the clock updates in real time. This project taught me how to manage asynchronous code and create a seamless user experience without page refreshes. Skills Applied: JavaScript, DOM manipulation, setInterval, Bootstrap
I have learned to build a weather app in React and had so much fun with it. Although I went through so much stress with it, I was fully fulfilled at the end of the project. I look forward to building more projects using react.
I probably struggled to wrap my head around React the most out of the SheCodes courses so far, but I don't think that was helped by taking on a separate unrelated project at the same time! The flexibility of the course let me take my time with lessons and go back when I was perhaps a little distracted. React is definitely going to be a useful tool and I've enjoyed rebuilding my weather app this way. I'm looking forward to using it more in future!
As a complete beginner with no prior knowledge in coding, I was initially intimidated by the thought of learning how to code. However, the course I took was designed in a way that made it easy to understand even for someone with no background in coding. The lessons were well-structured and the instructors were very patient in explaining the concepts. The course started with the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and gradually built upon that foundation, allowing me to gradually gain confidence in my abilities. The course also provided plenty of hands-on exercises and projects, which helped me to apply what I had learned and solidify my understanding. Overall, the course was a great introduction to the world of coding and I feel much more comfortable diving deeper into coding.
I have throughly enjoyed doing my projects with SheCodes. The videos are great and easy to understand, the challenges are a good way to learn the skills taught in the video. The help through slack has been very helpful too.

Until this project I haven't been using Grid, so it was a nice practice of new tool after knowing FlexBox and Bootstrap. I created a nice looking Landing page about my favourite moviemaker Quentin Tarantino. I still feel like I could change or add something new. It's like never enough, but, you have to know when to stop π.
I'm getting better at writing code! It's so fun to see how a project is built from start to finish. I love the learning process so much and I can't wait to continue learning. I highly recommend this workshop.
This workshop gave me a great foundation to build bigger projects. The videos were easy to follow and the challenge questions offered great practice for the concepts being taught. When I first saw SheCodes I was immediately curious. The fact that it is focused in women was of particular importance to me. I tried the Basics workshop and managed to do it all in 1 week, even working full-time during the week. In this short period, I feel I learned the basics of building a webpage and was super invested in the final project. Now I am super looking forward to the next phase.
This course was great once again. Also the final project and the artistic freedom you have really made me give everything I learned. :)

Best beginners workshop ever! I truly enjoyed every minute of this journey, and even though I did come across some challenges, the manner in which this workshop is structured made overcoming those challenges very easy. Matt is a really great instructor, & the support from the SheCodes team was also very helpful. This workshop provided me with the most informative & comprehensible introduction to HTML, CSS & JavaScript, I loved working on the homework/challenges and building my first project from scratch. SheCodes' Responsive workshop is a great course to take your basic coding skills to the next level. There is a ton of new information that is relevant to today's coding reality. Everything has to look good on a phone, and now my projects do! The final project is a portfolio that is very rewarding to build and put out into the world.

This is the second project since I've been introduced to coding one week ago. I already can see a lot of improvements in my website building skills, especially with richer manipulation of CSS and how to make the website fun to interact with.

The introduction to coding workshop was very exciting and it was pretty awesome. I was able to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a short amount of time. Matt made it easy to understand and the lessons were well-organized and easy to follow. I liked that it had hands-on challenges as well as projects so I could really get a feel for what I was learning. It was damn hard and took a lot of time to understand and finish 2 projects but it was really interesting) React and JS give such a huge field to try some new stuff and to do some experiments. Sometimes I was just losing track of time) But the course is really giving a lot of new knowledge and practical experience) Definitely will recommend it to my friends)
Round 3 of SheCodes workshops was as informative, interesting and entertaining as the first. I was able to use many of the HTML and CSS techniques we learned in Basics and Plus. I really enjoyed the creative freedom we got for this portfolio project. Though there were some moments of confusion and stress with my code, I was able to pull through with the help of Matt's lecture videos and the slack chats of fellow SheCodes students. I am really happy with my project and I can't wait to start on SheCodes React and Add-on projects.
I loved this workshop! I feel so much more prepared and knowledgeable on React, especially on VSCode, and feel like I can even start making my own projects on my own :) I will take what I've learned into new coding endeavors and future jobs!

Seeing my first React projects live and working is a huge satisfaction, I have to admit. However, during the SheCodes React workshop, I felt I couldn't gain organic skills, as some crucial pieces of information were missing and some topics were treated quite hastily.

I found this workshop very intuitive and very enjoyable; Matt and his team did a really lovely job breaking everything down into digestible pieces. I've taken a few online courses over the years, but it is safe to say that SheCodes tops them all by far. Matt is highly skilled at breaking down complex information into manageable and understandable chunks in a logical order that allows you to gradually build a solid foundation of knowledge, which is further reinforced by the demonstrations and examples provided in the lessons, and your own practice via the lesson challenges, homework and projects. As a visual and practical learner, these methods have helped me so so much, and I've learned and retained so much more than I was ever expecting. Matt has also managed what I previously believed was impossible - to make programming less scary (and fun)! Thanks again for this wonderful experience.
