The SheCodes basic course was really good as an introduction to coding. I successfully completed my project, something I wouldn't have thought I would be able to do 3/4 weeks ago. It was flexible, which is essential when you're a working Mum of three! I could easily apply an extension when I needed an extra day or two to finish things up.
The more you learn, the more fun it is! All those small projects where you can test yourself if you understood everything is very helpful.

For a while, I wanted to learn a new skill and coding had stuck out to me. However, I had no idea were to start. There were so many different programming languages, and courses that it was all overwhelming. Luckily, I came across a free workshop from SheCodes to introduce me to the coding. This part was more challenging. I feel less confident with what I learnt and it seems it's gonna take a lot of time and practice to understand what I'm doing. I would of appreciate more challenges and maybe another project than the weather app already built in vanilla JavaScript.

SheCodes is an amazing place to start learning code. It is immersive, whilst Matt explains in detail how each piece of code interacts with each other and how it affects the end project. The tidbit sectioning in each week's work makes it easy to follow and allows you to set your own pace.

The majority of the weeks covered new content, tools, and methods that were vital to coding not just an online portfolio but coding websites in general that look good and are responsive across different platforms. The later weeks become a little repetitive since I began working on my final project since the first week, but I understand others may have a different approach.

This is the third SheCodes workshop I have completed, and it has been the most enjoyable so far! Having previously accomplished the SheCodes Plus workshop, I was excited to take on another challenge and further enhance my front-end development skills. This workshop is an incredible introduction to responsive design, multiple-page hosting, SEO, and more. Not only were the homework exercises engaging, but the final project was the most rewarding experience I have had (so far) learning with SheCodes. The online portfolio is an excellent way to showcase your coding progress and demonstrate the range of knowledge gained throughout the workshops. SheCodes React is a great course to begin learning about react.js. With the information taught, students can learn how to use APIS to build sophisticated apps & projects, like a dictionary app & a weather app. It was very educational and taught me a lot. I'm excited to hopefully use react.js in my career in the future!

I did a lot of outside research and worked with other engineers to make my react projects, so I could write better code and get a better result than the course project but I did enjoy making this applications!

The SheCodes Plus workshop transitioned smoothly from the previous Basics workshop, continuing to teach with the same level of attention to detail and with the same focus on building from each previous lesson into the next. I enjoyed the challenge of this course to keep learning and applying new techniques, and my level of confidence in coding has grown significantly with this second SheCodes workshop. In addition to practising the fundamentals of writing HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the workshop also taught new skills, such as how to integrate APIs into an app for rapid retrieval of data, how to use GitHub, how to use a hosting service, and how to apply Bootstrap formatting. I've learned a lot, I intend to use my new skills to try to build some small projects which I've started to plan out, and I'm already looking forward to starting the next workshop!

The World Clock project was by far one of my favourites so far! I really enjoyed learning creating Select elements, timing JS events and exploring what Moment.js can do. It's so eye-opening and exciting getting to understand all these concepts and then practicing it yourself.

My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding Delac Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding π plus I have completed my shecodes plus it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me Iβm learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project β€οΈ

Throughout the bootcamp, I had the opportunity to work on three projects that showcased my newfound coding skills. These projects were specifically tailored to be beginner-friendly, enabling me to apply my knowledge in practical and engaging ways. The satisfaction I felt upon completing each project was immeasurable. It was truly amazing to see my ideas come to life, thanks to the solid foundation I acquired from the bootcamp.
It was an incredible experience from start to finish. I dedicated my time, effort, and expertise to bring this project to life, and I am immensely proud of the results. Through hard work and perseverance, I overcame challenges and achieved success.
Creating this project was a lot of fun and I am very excited to see what new skills the next workshop will teach me.

The course was a real eye-opener, both in terms of what can be achieved even with simple HTML, CSS and Javascript, but also in terms of what I was able to achieve in just over 2-weeks of study. When my final project was complete and I tested it for the first time, and everything worked, I felt a huge sense of achievement. This has definitely sparked an interest for me, and I'm already eyeing up my next course...
