Finishing the Responsive Web Design module was quite a challenging but fulfilling experience. At first, I battled to fully understand how layouts, fonts, and media queries all come together across different screen sizes. But with determination, loads of practice, and a few late nights, it started making sense. This module taught me to think more carefully about how people use websites, especially on mobile, and how to build designs that work well everywhere. The way this course is organized makes it easy to learn and to pick things up very quickly. There are so many resources to use and great examples to help you understand how to apply what you are learning. The challenges and projects are both fun and engaging. I often lose track of time while I'm working through them. There are also many ways to get help or talk to others for advice. Even though it's online, I never feel like I'm doing it alone. It makes me feel like a career change at any age is not only possible, but exciting.

The SheCodes Plus AI Workshop was a great way to brush up on my knowledge of working with AI tools as I had previously taken the Python AI workshop. While some of the topics around AI and prompt writing were familiar, this course gave me the chance to apply them using JavaScript instead. As a final project, I created an AI poem generator, which brought together everything we covered in a practical and creative way. This is a challenging course and opens your eyes to the world of React coding. Patience is key. I feel I need more practice with React coding to fully understand it, as I required a lot of help from the Slack community to complete this project. However, I am proud to have finished it.

What surprised me was how quickly I started feeling confident editing code and making things look and work how I wanted. The challenges are genuinely fun, and it’s satisfying to see your progress week after week. I also appreciated the little details: clear instructions, good examples, and a friendly atmosphere. If I had to nitpick, I wish there was a bit more about design best practices or how to take your projects to the next level. Taking this React course was a transformative experience for me. As part of the curriculum, I built a fully functional dictionary app—what seemed like a simple project at first turned out to be quite complex. From handling asynchronous API calls to managing dynamic states and integrating audio pronunciation features, the challenges pushed me to really dive deep into React’s ecosystem. Similar to other final weeks of the Add-on series, Matt walks you through all the steps needed to launch the next project. It reinforces a lot of material we once learned (i.e. html, css, javascript, api integration and ai) without taking a lot of time explaining everything. This greatly improves the 'user experience' (iykyk) as a learner and lets you glide through the information as your memory recalls gets fired up! Glad I completed this course!
