I highly recommend SheCodes Basics. The lessons are easy to follow while also being extremely informative. The final project was my favorite part of the 3 weeks in this course. It inspired me to better my coding knowledge to turn in a project that I knew I worked hard at and was proud of.

Hi😊 I am Olwethu, a student from South Africa. I have always been fascinated by coding, and it has been a goal of mine to learn how to code. I am really grateful to SheCodes for creating such an opportunity for women to learn to code, a goal that I thought would be unattainable has become attainable. I have thoroughly enjoyed every lesson and task that we have done, I am always showing my loved ones my projects and the new skills that have learnt. Furthermore, coding has become my escape, whenever I am stressed by my academics and other things happening around me coding has helped in relieving my stress and anxiety. I really enjoyed learning about React for this course. Having completed most of the workshops, I feel like I can really go far with Matt's knowledge and advice on coding. I don't think I would've been able to get this far in my coding journey otherwise and it was a pleasure to work on different projects under Matt's mentorship!

This add-on workshop taught me new skills to apply to real world projects. As in the previous workshops, the combination of theory and practical exercises is great as it allows me to immediately apply what I just learned.

The most challenging course so far! I really wanted to learn react, it was undoubtedly the hardest course so far but also the most rewarding! I was a little sorry that the final project was again a weather app, but I understand since it touches on almost all the important points. Very happy to be on this journey and to keep learning! My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding Delac Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜 plus I have completed my shecodes plus and responsive it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me I’m learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project ❤️”

SheCodes Plus Add-On was another great workshop by Matt! I really enjoyed diving deeper into javascript and enjoyed building a new and exciting project in such a short period of time.

This project is a great guide for anyone wanting help to finalize a portfolio page. If you already have knowledge of building websites, Matt is also giving you tools how to climb the Google ranks.

I have really enjoyed this course! Matt is a great instructor. It is something I really look forward to in my day as a stay-at-home mom of two toddlers. I had lot's of fun completing weekly challenges and the project. The biggest advantage of this course is that you can postpone a submission date and study with your pace.

Very interesting course, react is definately a step up from what we've been learning so far. However, once you start to break everything down into components it all starts to make sense. Will definately be practicing some beginner projects on my own too.

This project was much interesting. I want to try to do something new, to do something of my own.Personally, I did not have enough people next to whom I could discuss the steps of the project. I enjoyed building the World Clock website in this project. I found the instruction easy to follow and I can feel my Javascript skills improving compared to when I completed the Weather App project. I am excited to move onto the next workshop!

Working on the dictionary app project, I quickly realized how challenging yet exciting coding can be. There were moments when things got tricky, but with every line of code, I saw my vision coming to life. I am very proud, this dictionary app is close to what I had imagined. This workshop certainly took my very young coding skills to the limit! I adored seeing my project take shape, but it certainly made me step back a few times and think about how to solve the problem. I'm so excited to have finished the SheCodes Plus workshop! I can't believe how much I've learned. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it, even when things got tough. I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I'm now confident that I can create my own websites and web applications. JavaScript was definitely the most challenging for me, but I was able to overcome it with the help of the SheCodes resources, especially Athena AI. My final project was a weather application that fetches live data from a weather API. It was a challenging project, but it was also so much fun! I learned so much about weather data and how to display it in a user-friendly way. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who is interested in learning how to code. It's an amazing opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and to build a community of supportive women.
