I enjoyed working on this project. The most challenging part however happened to be the HTML tables.
I had zero coding knowledge and thought that I needed to be good at maths. I quickly found out that you don't. SheCodes Basics is very easy to understand and fun way to get into coding. Through homework, challenges, projects, and the help I got from the SheCodes team, I learned the basics of coding, and it wasn't as difficult as I thought. I don't regret a second choosing SheCodes. It was the best investment I have made in my life. I highly recommend it. I want to thank Matt and the SheCodes team for everything. Keep the good work up! It was great to challenge myself further with more advanced Javascript and API integration to create the final project, which was a weather app.

I've tried a few different introductory coding courses in the past, but SheCodes Basics was the one I was able to finally stick with. Matt's instructions were easy to follow and the projects were interesting. I also really appreciated the real time community feedback and help through Slack. As a coding newbie this has been challenging but so much fun! It's a great start to learning the basics. I love the small, focused steps of learning with application tasks throughout the week followed by a more challenging application task at the end of the week. The scaffolding of the learning is fantastic with learners signposted to lots of resources to help them. While my end of unit project won't win any design awards, I'm so proud of what I have learned in just 3 weeks!
This has been my very first experience with Coding. The best part of coding to me is to see the results of your work straight away. I love that I have now learnt how to create the basics of a website and I have really enjoyed seeing this first project from start to finish. I am really looking forward to continuing to the next level with SheCodes! π
I really enjoyed this workshop - you learn a lot of cool things in a short amount of time. The structure of the course is great and I like how all the lessons before it are then used to create the final project which really helps build the coding skills into your muscle memory.
I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid Β£1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost Β£500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.
Wow, this one is certainly more challenging than the basics but feels rewarding to have got to the end. The project is well broken down.

The Responsive Course does a great job outlining how to make your code look great on all devices. I really enjoyed working on the final project and found it very useful as I'm now using it for my job hunt.

I've already taken several workshops. I always learn with the SheCodes workshops. They challenge me to learn more, and allow me to do plenty of hands-on projects.
This project was a little more tedious and challenging. The instructor made it easy to follow and understand the content of the project.

This workshop was great because it really helped me be able to see what it is like working as a developer using someone else's design. React Add-on was a great project to put into practise what we have learn in the React workshop, I quite enjoyed doing it, came across several difficulties but that is how you learn and definitly feel more confidant with React although I'm very aware I still have a lot to learn ... I learned a lot from SheCodes. The fact that every class is followed by a challenge is really great to put our knowledge on use. I used to find programming logic really difficult but the classes and the project helped me to understand the logic of the functions and how everything falls into place on the code. I watched other programming courses before but this one is the one that helped me the most and it was also the most didatic one that I did.
As a first time coder this workshop has been the best experience ever! Seeing the code of my first project run was the best moment.

This is a nice addition to the Basics workshop! I've learnt new CSS techniques that will eventually help my projects look much better. I'm not really into the CSS transform properties and the fancy backgrounds because I think that they are too "noisy". However, it's good to know how to work with these tools for future reference. I really enjoyed doing the final project and appreciate the fact that it looks really good and much more interactive for the user. It was nice to have Matt's support throughout the project development.
The basics add on was somehow easier than basics. Perhaps because i had an underlying understanding of code. How Matt demonstrates and explains the project, taking you step-by-step through the process makes building a webpage much simpler than you would initially think. I really enjoy being able to make pages based on my interests - it keeps me engaged. Thanks for the fun :)
In the Responsive Web Development course, I explored the fascinating world of creating adaptable websites using the Bootstrap framework. SheCodes React courses were absolutely fantastic, I enjoyed it a lot. I got acquainted with React and even completed a project. I was a bit surprised at how much I enjoyed the SheCodes Basic course. I was expecting coding to be super boring, but didn't realize how creative it can be. Once you get started, the possibilities are endless! I just graduated from a graphic design program, and wanted to take this course to make myself more "hireable" to prospective employers and to stand out from my peers in the increasingly competitive job market. When searching for design jobs, most mention candidates with HTML and CSS experience is a huge plus, though not required. I have designed in Figma for UI/UX projects, but I know they will have to be passed off to a developer. This course has helped me improve my skillset and will make it easier when communicating with developers in the future.
Another great project! At start it seemed hardly possible, but step by step and here we are - a dictionary app with multiply API integration. What a journey! It is sad that the learning experience is coming to an end, but at the same I'm EXTREMELY EXCITED of what is coming NEXT! π€ͺπ©π»βπ»

I never thought I would actually finish a project containing JavaScript , so I must say this is really well structured to teach you the basics pretty well to understand if you do not have any experience with coding at all.

As a self-taught developer with a couple of years of experience under my belt, I decided to pursue the Introduction to Coding to formalize my skills and dive deeper into coding using HTML and CSS. What stood out to me was the supportive community and the hands-on projects, which were instrumental in solidifying my understanding of complex concepts. The Plus workshop was a challenge compared to the Basic program. However, once I finished I was really happy because of how my final project resulted. The challenge that comes with the Plus workshop is definitely worth it.

That exceeded my expectations. The curriculum was well-structured and covered all the essentials of front-end development. I really enjoyed this workshop. I have a learning disability and haven't been in school in years, so I was nervous I would have difficulty, however it was pretty simple and straight forward. I actually had a ton of fun creating the last project, even so that I finished super early and tried to add in extra things that were taught, and things I googled to figure out. It was really fun! I did have issues with how the videos would teach us one thing, but then the work you needed to submit asked you to do something that wasn't even taught to you yet. I also didn't quite understand why an entire workshop for teaching women to code is taught by a man. A woman instructor would be better, though I understand Matt is the creator and therefor he teaches it all. I would really like to continue with the other workshops, however they are unfortunately not something I can afford.

React is incredibly fun and challenging, this project re-worked my memory into remembering what I learned for my weather app a long time ago, and what not to do!
React was difficult to understand, but the bigger concepts did make sense by the end of the course. I am happy with the final project and would like to learn more about React.
This has by far been the most challenging yet extremely motivating project yet. I have enjoyed scratching my head, trying to figure out where the lesson is going to go ahead of our teacher and really seeking external resources for guidance. I can see closer to my reality as a web developer day to day now. What a great learning experience.

This project made a daunting task of creating a portfolio site easy. So thankful for this and will definitely utilize and come back to these lessons as I continue to grow in my coding skills.
