It was a pretty difficult journey hey, at some point I thought I wouldn't be able to do it but I managed to push through and make sure I do all my homeworks and challenges and the final project, which was super challenging. I am very thankful to our tutor and his team for always helping me out when I didn't even have a clue on what I was doing. Otherwise, I had a great time and I have learned so many things and for that I am grateful😊

I had so much fun learning more about JavaScript's capability and being able to build a weather app! You never know what you're capable of until you give it a try. While some of the scripting was super challenging, it was still manageable due to the amazing instructions and how the lessons are laid out. I'm so excited to continue my journey and see what other fun projects lie ahead.

The additional project was a great way to get more comfortable with javascript, dates, and timezones.

Amazing course! Matt is a great teacher and goes in-depth into each topic he talks about so it is easy to understand and reviews topics throughout the course as a refresher which I found very helpful when completing my final project and understanding what I had learned!

Learned a lot in this course again and saw how important react is for developing a great website. I rate this course a little bit lower than the others, since the documentation is not as complete and thorough as in the other courses. I had a great time designing my own icons and backgrounds for my project to mix it up, but it would have been great if this would have been a new project subject, not a weather app again.

I was an absolute beginner starting out, I had no experience of CCS or JavaScript and I've learnt so much. I really enjoyed the challenges throughout the course to help me test out my understanding and the final project was really fun to work out. I'm looking for a career change so this course was brilliant to help boost my skills and confidence in trying a new industry.

Taking this course was a game-changer. I went from zero coding knowledge to building my own websites confidently. The instructors were fantastic, and the hands-on projects made learning enjoyable.

In this workshop, I became more familiar with Javascript, React, API calls, CSS styling and more. I learned the importance of folder structure and how to deploy a React application to Netlify. I am confidence my experience gained here will help me in my future projects!

This is a great little workshop that builds on your knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS properties. I especially loved the edition of adding a dark mode to the project!

This project was the most fun so far, really liked building this page and the things we learned this two weeks is things I can really see my selfe use alot in the future.

I really enjoyed the She Codes basic programme. It was a great introduction to coding, and the lessons where enjoyable. I loved having little projects throughout the workshop and enjoyed working on the final project at the end, which tied everything you learn in the programme together!

I enjoyed the challenge of creating my own weather app. The project the engaging and set up in a way where I did not think, "This is impossible". I felt very accomplished after completing this project.

Very challenging, but very informative and has helped me in working with the engineers in my role as an IT project manager.

I feel super happy with my decision to join SheCodes! I did the basics and will do the plus courses, but I don't think I am going to stop there. This was definitely a challenge as it took me a bit longer to understand compared to the other workshops. But by using a project I have already built, the weather app, to help me understand React was very helpful. What also helps with motivation is knowing that React is relevant in today's tech world.

Upon starting this workshop, I quickly realised React has a steep learning curve. However, Matt made the topic approachable and less intimidating through clear explanations and informative demonstrations. This workshop has been a great learning experience that has left me feeling much more confident in furthering my knowledge of React. The project was an excellent means of putting what was taught throughout the workshop into practice. It is also a great follow-on from the SheCodes Plus workshop, highlighting the difference between Vanilla JS and React.

Javascript has always been the programing language that made me doubt my becoming a frontend Developer ,i learnt Javascript through this workshop and i was able to implement it in developing a project . I was always curious about how computer engineers build websites and people who are in stem create codes for robots and I wanted to see if I'd be able to take classes in order to learn them as I have adhd and I cannot focus on something unless I really love it. I also didn't have the time and money to go to uni for a degree in information technology as I'm already attending to finish up my degree in Business. I found the interface amazing and the courses are bite sized enough for you to understand key concepts quickly all you have to do in practice and create your own projects in the mean time. the best way I learned through out this course was opening up my VS codes file and typing out what was happening in the courses and also testing to see if I understood what I learned. I think most people are scared to start coding because they think it's super hard but it's actually quite fun IMO if you get the hang of coding formulas and the only major thing is debugging but that's really it! I think everyone who can get a certificate should try SheCodes out and if they need one for their job or just for fun it's deff worth a try. I can't wait to keep on with my studies towards becoming a front end web developer!

I am Lindokuhle Yende from South Africa. I recently had a new found interest in coding. I am not really a beginner since I have some background in Python but I was clueless about Web development. I found it very nice to learn JavaScript since it has some methods which are similar to those used in Python. I enjoyed creating my own website since it combines my knowledge in coding and my interest in Astronomy, which made me be able to express myself fully. This project made me realize that there is so much diversity in coding and you can branch into any field with your skills. I enjoyed every moment of this SheCodes workshop.

I really loved and immersed myself a lot more in the course. It was more challenging than SheCodes Basics but also a lot more fun!! Matt really guides you through the making of the entire project but you're also given enough freedom to make it your own and play around with the code, if you choose to. Learning how to implement API was one of the most challenging but rewarding parts of this course. Learning about GitHub was also very useful. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to get started on programming.

Hello!! I found SheCodes to be better than any other coding website I've tried or coding class I took in college. After I finished my project, I showed my mother and stepfather, and they were both amazed at what I did; it made me feel proud of myself for showing them something I'm starting to enjoy!

SheCodes is an excellent online platform for acquiring coding skills. I successfully completed the SheCodes Basic program in less than two weeks. It is quite a fun workshop right after the Plus workshop! It is great review of what I've learned so far to a much simpler project that can be familiarized with everyday use and curiosity. 😄

Just completed the add-on project which was a great lesson in getting more creative! I'm sure all the material can come off as overwhelming, but it is truly a process of memorization through repetition and you will feel great when the pieces all start to click together. the program is hard and easy at the same time, the course work has been broken down in a way that a child would also understand. Before taking this course I had heard many negative things about React. However, as soon as I started coding and completing challenges, I realized that React is much better than vanilla JS because there were no long codes anymore (which was annoying to me) and I was able to categorize different parts of my code (It's more concise and maintainable). The SheCodes React workshop was well-structured (as in previous workshops); with comprehensible and easy-to-follow learning videos, multiple challenges, and a practical final project (updating the weather app).
