It's very interesting to learn a new language in the midst of the bootcamp and very satisfying to see this first weather project come to life. I still feel generally confused about Python, but hope that the next courses will explain more about how python integrates with other coding languages and in web applications.

This was a steep learning curve. I had to do a lot of outside research to keep up with the classes. I will say this was my least favorite to learn, only because there were so many rules and it seems React is so sensitive. I did enjoy the projects I built, and the troubleshooting and trial and error to get my code to work. I Thanks immensely for teaching this!

The basics add-on is really no different from the basics, literally just an even more detailed course with more complicated projects

Plus was a great way to complete a real project, building on the basics and using API's, as well as working with GitHub and deploying my work. I really enjoyed integrating the data from the API and seeing the end result

SheCodes is a good starting point to get familiar with JavaScript and front-end basics through hands-on projects. However, some concepts would benefit from a deeper explanation and more structured support, especially when debugging or understanding why things work (or don’t). It’s useful as an introduction, but learners who want a stronger conceptual foundation may need to supplement it with additional resources.

I felt like this workshop really cemented a lot of the basics in my mind and the projects we created were challenging but so useful. I can highly recommend!

Great course, simple to follow along with. There are some very challenging parts in this week's project but the She Codes team are really responsive and available to help. This is my final project and can't recommend the Bootcamp course enough. I went from almost zero knowledge to a full portfolio and the readiness to change career. If anyone is unsure how to start of in the tech world, get onto these courses!

My coding skills are improving significantly with each course and project completed. This course has inspired me to keep building and creating.

It's a good program with a good project at the end, but some videos are out of date with their websites and what works and what doesn't. While that is acknowledged in the video, it is not very helpful having to watch the video still, and then figure out what to do with the updated websites. Still a great project, just frustrating sometimes

As an aspiring UX Designer looking to understand the technical side of my work, I found this course to be an excellent introduction to web coding. The curriculum is highly systematic, breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps. By the time I reached the final project, I had the skills and confidence to build a website from scratch. I highly recommend this course to anyone curious about coding or looking to expand their professional skillset.

The SheCodes React Add-On pushed me beyond tutorial-following into genuine React thinking. What made this course valuable wasn't perfection. It was a productive struggle. Wrestling with state management, API response structures, and component architecture taught me why patterns exist, not just how to copy them. Debugging undefined data and conditional rendering logic was frustrating at times, but that's exactly where real learning happened. The dictionary project strikes an excellent balance: beginner-accessible yet realistic. Integrating external APIs, managing loading states, and handling deployment felt close to actual development work. I also appreciated the emphasis on clean code practices, ESLint warnings, and accessibility requirements, which built good habits from day one. The result? I now confidently read React code, debug my own mistakes, and build on real projects independently.

Working on this dictionary app has been such a rewarding experience! It’s super cool to bring together multiple APIs — from dictionary definitions and phonetics audio to fetching beautiful images from Pexels — all in one smooth, interactive React app. I loved learning how to handle async data fetching, manage state with hooks, and build reusable components that really work together seamlessly. Plus, integrating audio playback with a little speaker icon was fun! This project gave me solid, hands-on experience with real-world API integration and React best practices. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to level up their frontend skills in a practical, engaging way.

This course was amazing! I learned how to work with AI APIs and actually built my own AI Poem Generator website, which I deployed on Netlify. I feel much more confident making real projects now, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants to go from learning to building.

Good recap of a mini html + css + js project

I loved this project. We have family all over the world, so it was fun to do this project and show it to my children, who could appreciate the meaning of the different time zones and how it linked to different members of our family. I recall Matt saying that at some point things will start to 'click' and this was the project where I really felt this.

The advanced course enhanced my ability to apply Python in real projects while developing a deeper understanding of advanced concepts, and I really enjoyed how structured and practical the course was!

Completing the SheCodes Plus Add‑on has been a really rewarding experience that helped me deepen my understanding of front‑end development in a practical, hands‑on way. Over the two weeks, I learned how to work with more advanced JavaScript concepts and apply them to build a fully functional World Clock application. In Week 1, I explored new HTML input types and select elements, which helped me understand how to create more interactive and user‑friendly forms. I also learned how to use JavaScript timing events, work with different date formats, and handle global time zones — all skills that felt technical at first but became much clearer through the structured lessons and challenges. Week 2 brought everything together through the World Clock project. I built the layout using HTML and CSS, then added JavaScript to display the time for single and multiple locations, update the clock in real time, and show the user’s local time. Seeing the project come to life step by step really boosted my confidence and showed me how these individual skills combine to create something polished and functional. The Plus Add‑on has strengthened my understanding of advanced JavaScript and improved my ability to build interactive features from scratch. It was a lot of fun to learn Python in connection with AI on a project basis. With each task, the project was expanded and optimized until the final project week. It was explained in an easy and understandable way. It was also great that what I learned in the Python Basic course could be deepened in the Python AI course through further application and development. I am taking a lot away from the course and am looking forward to continuing.

SheCodes React takes you from React-curious to confident. Beginner-friendly yet challenging, it focuses on hands-on projects that look professional and impress recruiters. I’ve just finished my next SheCodes course and I can genuinely say it’s one of the most confidence-boosting things I’ve done in a long time. I went from “I vaguely know what HTML is” to building and deploying a fully working web app with JavaScript, APIs, and proper UX logic — and somehow enjoying the debugging along the way (stockholm syndrome, maybe?). What I loved about SheCodes is that it doesn’t just tell you what to type — it explains why. So when something broke (and it did, repeatedly!), I wasn’t panicking… I was actually able to reason my way through it. By the end, I’d built a Tattoo Concept Generator that takes user input, handles loading states and errors, and is live on the internet — which still feels a bit surreal. The lessons are clear, practical, and friendly without being patronising. You’re encouraged to experiment, make mistakes, and improve things step by step, which made everything click in a way tutorials never had for me before. If you’re curious about coding but slightly terrified of it, SheCodes is a brilliant place to start. You come out with real skills, real projects, and the quiet confidence of someone who now knows how to Google things properly. Huge thanks once again to Matt Delac and the whole SheCodes Team!

I am a bunch of emotions. I just completed my final SheCodes project ☺️🥲. This has been a remarkable journey. I had a goal to finish the bootcamps as soon as I was able to and I did it! I am so grateful for each lesson, challenge and homework assigned. I was able to practice and apply it practically. I intend on going over everything and practicing all that I have learned so that it becomes second nature. Congrats to everyone that has completed the bootcamps and to those that are working towards it. I am so very excited for what lines ahead, the future is bright 🌟

Learning Python Basics was really fun! Matt explained everything clearly and in an easy-to-understand way. Creating projects from scratch and then developing them further lesson by lesson is a great way to review what you've learned and see your own progress. The given free resources for further reading and diving deeper into topics such as Python code formatting were also very helpful! The SheCodes team and community were always there to answer questions, to give feedback and to cheer you on. :)

This course was fun and while the final project was challenging e.g. getting each city's local time zone to work, fixing Netlify and GeoNames after I exceeded free limits, designing and getting my weather emoticons animation to work, etc... I have learned a lot in the process and it sure is great to finally complete my Wonky weather app.
