Excellent course, really built upon the initial course, and things became a lot easier to work out. Using the SheCodes API options added an extra challenge as these weren't utilised in the videos, so being able to work this out for myself gave me great confidence. Well explained in all parts, and the final project was super fun to build, watching it all come together at the end.
Had fun learning and creating my final project. It was frustrating running into some roadblocks, but it's a great feeling once I figured out what went wrong in the code.
This project challenged me to improve how I styled and coded. I had some trouble, but the support team on slack got me back on track, and then I ended up having fun with this project and enjoying the website I made.

Although I have found it quite a leap in terms of complexity; the React part of the course seems a lot more complicated than previous parts of the course so I haven't messed around with styling with this project as much as I would've liked for fear of breaking it all and never moving to the next bit!

Certainly a challenging course, some of the videos feel a bit out of date at times, but that's the nature of React, it's constantly evolving. Python Advanced was a tough one, especially at the final project. An advantage to learning it through SheCodes is that Matt explains the process well, and talks through what he has done to ensure it soaks in. Matt really puts you at ease regarding making errors, and really just encourages you to keep trying, and backtrack if needed. I've said it before, but he is a great teacher and that makes half of the course.

In this project, I explored advanced CSS positioning, selectors, and styling techniques. I learned how to implement search functionality within my application and investigated various methods for displaying the current date using JavaScript. I gained insights into JavaScript selectors and events, as well as how to create effective functions. Additionally, I was introduced to APIs and successfully worked with the SheCodes Forecast API, learning how to make API calls and interpreting the response object data. I practiced looping through arrays, and after much attempts, I was able to successfully display the live forecast for the week. Great project.

I completed this workshop in 2022 but had to resubmit my project for the certificate because SheCodes revamped its offerings, splitting the React workshop into two parts. Previously, participants chose between uploading the weather app or dictionary project at the end. Nevertheless, I remember it being a fun workshop and a great introduction to React! The Slack channel provided quick answers and tips, enhancing my learning experience. By the end of the workshop, I could confidently build web pages and had a solid understanding of front-end development. SheCodes has empowered me to continue my coding journey, and I highly recommend their workshops to anyone looking to start coding with a strong foundation.
I took the Basic course almost 2 years ago but then life got busy and I couldn't continue. I'm so thankful for the lifelong access, and Matt brilliant explanations. The first two lessons were a bit rough, but as they progressed I felt that what I learned started coming back. The project was a lot of fun and Athena is a feature that I've come to really appreciate!
I have found the AI Add-On workshop to be been incredibly enjoyable and fascinating! I'm intrigued by generative AI and how it can be integrated into a webpage, and I learned so much from this course. Working on the final project was great - I learnt a lot about prompt engineering and I was also able to build on the previous knowledge I've gained through my other SheCodes courses. Definitely give this one a go!
