Through SheCodes Basics, I discovered my interest in coding and built my first real projects using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Just finished my React course — it was well structured and really helped me understand how to build and work with components, state, and APIs. I feel a lot more confident building projects on my own now.

I really love the creative results when finishing with another SheCodes project where ideas become actual visible. Even with some errors to solve, which can be frustrating sometimes, glad that we have multiple AI tools these days and the internet to find answers.

Completing the SheCodes Python Basics course has been a really rewarding experience that helped me build a strong foundation in programming. Over the eight weeks, I learned how to work with variables, functions, loops, conditionals, lists, and user input, and I began exploring how Python can interact with real data through APIs. The highlight was creating an Interactive Weather App, which brought all the concepts together in a practical project. Seeing it come to life step by step really boosted my confidence and showed me how these skills can be used to build functional, meaningful applications.

I absolutely loved this workshop! Matt explained everything so clearly, and each lesson introduced something new that I could immediately put into practice. It was so exciting to see my skills grow step by step, and by the end I felt proud and confident creating my own landing page for the final project.

The final project was very helpful in learning how to integrate AI APIs and APIs in general.

I could write HTML and CSS, but deploying a project felt like a wall I couldn't climb. Eight weeks of SheCodes changed that. I went from having code that only lived on my laptop to a fully functional weather app — live on the internet, pulling real API data, with a 5-day forecast. SheCodes taught me how to bring everything together: APIs, JavaScript, and actually getting your work out into the world. If you know the basics but keep stopping at 'how do I ship this?' — this is for you.

Learned so much and so excited to show off those skills I learned in the final project. Being able to do it at my own pace but still have a deadline was motivation to keep me going.

I recently completed the SheCodes Plus Add on workshop and it was a great learning experience. In this workshop, I built a live world clock that displays the current date and time for different cities across multiple time zones. Using a select element, users can choose between different locations, and the time updates dynamically. One of the most exciting parts was learning how to work with Moment.js to display live dates and times. I also added extra features like showing the user’s current location and linking back to the homepage when viewing another city. Everything was explained in a clear and practical way, which made the concepts easy to understand and apply. I truly enjoyed building this project and seeing how powerful JavaScript can be when working with time and different locations around the world. I'm grateful for the learning experience with SheCodes and excited to keep building more projects as I continue my coding journey. 🚀

Learning how to integrate AI into a website was really interesting and opened up a lot of creative possibilities. Throughout the course, I explored how AI can be used to generate content dynamically and make web applications more interactive. For my project, I built a Character Name Generator that creates names based on a user’s description of a character. It was really fun to see how a few details could turn into unique and fitting names, and the project helped me better understand how AI can be used as part of a real web application.

Having been a literature and arts person my whole life, I never pictured myself coding. I'm so glad I took a chance on learning something outside my comfort zone, because it has been so rewarding! I absolutely loved diving deeper into Python and building a final project that could showcase all the things I learned about working with data. Python was much more challenging for me to learn than HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and there were times I got really frustrated. However, this meant that every time some new information or concept really *clicked* and I could successfully implement it in my code, I felt a huge sense of accomplishment. Now, I love when I'll be talking with someone or watching something that includes data and realise how I could interact with that data in Python. It's not something I ever thought I could do, and feel really proud that I've stuck with it. Learning Python has become a new tool I use to create things I never thought I could create before, like interactive games and graphs to chart my reading habits. I'm really sad the class has come to an end, but I look forward to building on the skills I learned to create my own projects!

Working on this travel project for the SheCodes Responsive course was an amazing learning experience. I got to practice HTML, CSS, and responsive design while creating a visually appealing and functional website. I especially enjoyed building the interactive cards, mini gallery, and map embeds, and experimenting with grids and hover effects to make the content more engaging. This project pushed me to pay attention to detail, accessibility, and overall user experience, and I’m really proud of the final result!

I most definitely recommend this course. It was really exciting and challenging at the same time. Every time I was able to complete a homework assignment, I would see just how much this course has taught me. And being able to complete the final project was such an amazing experience with a wonderful sense of achievement.

This project was my SheCodes Week 4 responsive portfolio, and I’m really proud of how it turned out. I focused on creating a clean, modern design that showcases my frontend skills while being fully responsive across devices. I built interactive project cards, a hero section, and a custom footer with SVG social links, ensuring consistency in color, spacing, and typography. I also optimized images, added semantic HTML, and included SEO best practices like meta descriptions and Open Graph tags. Overall, this project allowed me to combine design and development skills into a professional, user-friendly portfolio that I can continue to build on!

It was really nice to do a different type of project again in this bootcamp, and integrating multiple APIs. React is a really interesting library and left me feeling motivated to build more, and after the React and React Add-on workshops, I feel comfortable enough to utilize it in more of my portfolio projects.

A fun learning project, it took a lot of time with a lot of trail and errors. Sometimes got frustrated because I lost track of what I was coding but then the debugging starts and a lot of research online to find solutions, but I made it with the results I had in Mind.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes Basics course. It's been a great introduction and I feel I have learnt a lot more than I thought I would. The course has been easy to follow with everything clearly explained. It's also really easy to track where you are in the course. Projects are also checked quickly once submitted. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to give coding a go, even if you haven't done any before.

This course came at the perfect time. Everything I learned in my previous courses started clicking into place, and the repetition of practicing and replicating real layouts made it stick in a way that just reading never could. I can feel myself getting closer to being a capable junior dev with every project I build.

I really enjoyed learning more things about coding, but I honestly HATED having to use CodeSandbox because it was slow and it made my laptop slow as well. I also enjoyed doing the weather project, and I would've finished sooner had it not been for JavaScript being so difficult and making me quit every other day. Despite everything, I am happy that I have been able to complete this course, and I can now move onto a new one.

This Responsive Add-on course was a wonderful continuation of the Responsive workshop. It helped me deepen my understanding of how to refine layouts and create more polished responsive pages using CSS Grid and media queries. I particularly enjoyed focusing on the small design details that make a page feel structured and user-friendly across different screen sizes. The final project was especially meaningful for me because it allowed me to create a responsive landing page honouring the ‘Mothers of Technology’ and celebrating the women who helped shape the foundations of our digital world. I also enjoyed integrating elements such as embeds and responsive media into the page while adapting and refining the layout throughout the project. The Python AI module pushed me beyond basic scripting into building real world projects using API interfaces. Creating a travel itinerary planner helped me understand how AI can be applied in practical, user-focused ways. The content was well structured, beginner friendly, and genuinely empowering. I feel way more confident working with APIs and AI now.

This project was a challenging, but I enjoyed every part of it! It is very satisfying to see the final project working. I definitely learned a lot.

This coding this time around is very very eyes opening, i was able to learn new things like HTML Table, section and also making my project always responsible.

It’s amazing how much I’ve learned in just three weeks. The lessons demystify coding and make it feel approachable, even for a complete beginner. I’m so glad I decided to start my programming journey, it’s never too late! Matt structures the course in a way that builds on the skills and knowledge you already have, allowing you to combine everything and create your own project by the end. Of course, it can be challenging at times, but that’s all part of learning something new. Over the past three weeks, I’ve had so much fun exploring HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There’s still so much more to learn, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next. Overall, these three weeks have been an incredible experience, and I’ve gained so much knowledge.
