🚀 Why I started: I love learning, especially when I can flexibly integrate course content into my everyday life. Programming - especially frontend and web design - has always fascinated me and I wanted to finally delve deeper into the subject. 🌟 💡 What I learned: From HTML Input Types to Select Elements to moment.js and moment timezone - this course not only showed me new tools, but also helped me to significantly deepen my JavaScript knowledge. 💪 The biggest challenge? JavaScript is super fun ... as long as the code works. 😅 But when it doesn't, it can be really challenging. I've learned to stay patient and systematically look for solutions - and that sense of achievement when everything works is priceless. 🙌 ✨ My highlight: My favorite part of every project is when the basic structure is in place and everything works - then I can really let off steam in CSS styling. Still a media designer through and through. 🎨💻

The Python Advanced course was my toughest challenge—it took me almost two months, as backend isn’t my favorite. I felt the course was well thought out. There was a good balance between making sure the basics are well understood without making it too repetitive for those with experience in other programming languages. I like to look at the summary of the project first, build it and then watch the step by step videos. I find I learn better that way, and the format of this course allows us to do that if we want.

This course was a bit more advanced with a primary focus on Javascript which was certainly challenging and quite difficult at first. However, it made the final project and the final homework a lot easier to complete!

I enjoyed learning React and being able to integrate different components. It opened to new possibilities by adding other features to the project, such as animated icons. While at times it seemed complex keeping track of how each piece fit, it really made sense and felt overall organized in the end. I also found it empowering being able to not only use professional tools, but being able to troubleshoot issues I came across during this project through independent searches and trial and error.

The Basics Add-on covered critical CSS concepts, including background styling, transforms, grids, and animations, which were well explained with hands-on exercises. The project-based approach was great, with steps focused on HTML class manipulation, grid layout, dark theme implementation, and responsive design. The final project helped solidify these concepts for a polished result. Another fun workshop! I am ready to take on more complex challenges. Thank You!!

Is was an interesting and challenging workshop. Some parts of the projects were difficult and took time to test and realize what was an error. At the end of the workshop when you see a web-site built buy you, you realize how much you learnt and that you are already capable of applying the knowledge.

This was my favourite course so far. The ability to learn how to make websites mobile responsive will now allow me to go back and re-code my earlier website projects to make them look just as good on my mobile phone. Thank you Matt, you make the tutorials so easy to understand. The content is engaging and practical.
