SheCodes Plus was so much fun and it felt amazing to create something that I can actually use everyday! The workshop felt challenging as I worked through the weeks, but it was so exciting to get to the final project and really prove to myself how much I learned over the weeks. I'm really looking forward to the React workshop next and I'm super proud to be a SheCodes Plus grad π
Workshops were definitely more challenging then the Basics and consumed more of my time, but in the end it was worth it! I developed new skills and successfully applied them for the weather app project πͺπβ€οΈ I canβt wait to revise and learn more!
I had a lot of fun building the project, learned a lot and practiced all the skills learned in the previous modules. This course is very easy to follow and very useful as you build things you can use for your portfolio.
I learned so much in SheCodes React, the Dictionary project definitely made things come together more for me and I really enjoyed building it. It was great to learn new concepts and developer workflow, now I feel like I can actually build my own website. Thank you for such a wonderful 8 weeks!
The final project really pushed my limits and I found myself having some much fun exploring new ways to code. I especially loved the bonus challenges as it really made me think for a creative way to code my project. There's not one way to do a certain thing and that's really awesome! I really appreciate the videos from the instructor as well, it helped in case I missed something or there was a more constrcutive way to code my idea.
I was very curious about this course - I always wanted to make a portfolio by myself from scratch and am proud that finally I was able to do that. This project is not ended for me yet - will continue to update it and will try to use all the upcoming knowledge to make it even better.
I really enjoyed the vanilla weather app project - my submission is in no way perfect (and needs a lot of refactoring) but the assignment took me far out of my comfort zone, and encouraged me to really start 'using' my coding skills, rather than simply 'practicing' them.
I have learned so many interesting and useful things during SheCodes Plus workshop. Everything was clear because Matt explains every piece of code into details. I also appreciate that he does not share too much information, so I am never overwhelmed. Sometimes it was so good to hear from him something like "You do not need to understand this right now." Without all the practical tips it would be so difficult to keep learning and to build the whole project. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team - for your support, patience and inspiration.
The SheCodes Plus workshop was challenging, but fun. I learned a lot in the past few weeks leading up to my completion of the final project. Once I figured out how to resolve all the hiccups that came up as I was coding my weather app, it felt very rewarding and fulfilling πLooking forward to learning React βΊοΈ
SheCodes React was my third workshop and while it was definitely challenging at times I would 100% recommend it. I learned heaps about how to use React and how components work and how to bring it all together. Since I have a background in linguistics and teaching I particularly liked creating the Dictionary App, which is also why I chose that for my final project. Can't wait to get started with Responsive later this year.
I have finally completed the React course of SheCodes. It's a lot of hard work, but it's also very fun (personally I enjoyed the React course WAY more than the SheCodes Plus course)! I was motivated with seeing my progress in real-time, and as always Matt's instruction is remarkable and easy to understand and follow. The rest of the SheCodes team is very helpful in answering questions as well. I love the fact that we can review course materials and videos as many times as we want, and that we have lifetime access to our completed course workshops! I'm definitely going to review and refer back to what I learned in my React course throughout my ongoing coding journey. I have learned so, so much. With SheCodes, I was able to learn to code from literally no experience at all, all the way to being comfortable with JavaScript React. I encourage any and all women interested in learning how to code to learn with SheCodes. I look forward to everything SheCodes has to offer in the future, and in the meantime I will get to work on my own projects independently now. Thank you so much for everything!

The experience with SheCodes was great! At first, I was a bit irritated to have a male instructor when the service is called "SheCodes" - fortunately, there are female tutors in the back who are happy to help on Slack. ;) What I appreciate the most is the possibility to have a final project that is published with SheCodes and so have the ability to actually show my skills to people. I did the basic course, which I would recommend to anyone with no knowledge.
Definitely a step up from basics but the weather app was an interesting and fun project to build. The lessons, although sometimes challenging, were done at a good pace. I am excited to continue with SheCodes PLUS and learn more about React.
The real life projects tested my practical skills to the limits. This is such a great program to go through each step on understanding React and API's. This part of the SheCodes workshop really took my knowledge and skills to a whole another level.
SheCodes was a nice intro to some of the basics. The homework/final project was a fun way to put what you learned into practice and the deadlines kept me from procrastinating... All in all, I had lots of fun!
When I first joined Shecodes, I did not know any programming languages. I only knew how to basic coding for engineering on Matlab. After taking the three-week workshop, I got to know how to code something. I would definitely recommend this for those who want to try programming out. It very easy to understand, and the best thing is that you get to project at the end of each lesson. It would make you feel like a programmer when you do those projects. You get to put everything you have learned in that week into the project.
Since the very beginning of my SheCodes journey, I feel so passionate about coding and my projects. Matt and the SheCodes team make it so easy to stay focused and highly motivated. Looking forward to the next step ! :)
I loved this course! The lessons were engaging and although it covered a lot of new skills it was always exciting and never felt overwhelming. The project was challenging and fun to work on, with a good balance of space for creativity and instructions for guidance. Really looking forward to starting the next workshop!
This was so much fun! There were some challenging lessons, but once you get over those humps, you feel so accomplished! I cannot believe I actually created a weather app!! Also, the training videos and lesson challenges were all easy to follow, and the structure of the course made it easy to follow. I am so proud of my project! Whoohooo! I did it!!, onto the next workshops! :)
I thoroughly enjoyed taking this introduction and found it helpful to touch upon the knowledge I already had with HTML + CSS. It was nice getting a refresher and learning new tricks. I especially enjoyed the JavaScript portion. Within a short period of time, you are able to leverage what has been taught by Matt and execute it in the final project. This experience has taught me how to stick with a problem and find ways of solving it, and perhaps most significantly, the experience taught me the skills that will enable me to continue to develop into a Front End Developer. Thank you so much for this tremendous opportunity.
I really enjoyed SheCodes Basic. I have taken courses from other platforms before, and SheCodes is the best experience so far. The challenges and project allow you to apply what you've just learned. I'm excited for SheCodes Plus π
I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics course. I liked the way it builds up your knowledge in small manageable steps with mini challenges so you get to practise what you are learning. The weekly projects help you to keep up the pace of the course and put together everything you have learnt. I knew nothing about coding before signing up on a whim and this has been a fun and accessible introduction!

I'm a graphic design student who's always curious on how to do coding and luckily enough, I saw from a friend's Instagram story, she join SheCodes 3 months ago and I look up at their website and thought it would be interesting to learn basic of coding and here I am just finish my final project and I absolutely love every course. Matt was incredible and he really taught us step by step through the process.
I am a complete beginner and SheCodes Basic taught me a lot! Matt is an excellent instructor and he does a great job breaking down the lessons into digestible parts. I'm proud of everything I learned to be able to make my final project from scratch!
I never wrote a single line of code before the course, and yet I could complete the final project without any major difficulties. Matt is incredible and his classes are so easy to follow. I am so happy I found SheCodes! I had been learning how to code on my own for a few months already. And though I did learn quite a bit, I was struggling a lot. I felt lost in this new world, and it was very easy to procrastinate. This course has given me the structure that I needed and it really is set up in a way that eases you in so you don't feel so overwhelmed. This course was amazing. I was able to start with no experience in coding at all and everything was explained and demonstrated really well in the lessons. The final project allowed you to put what you learnt into practice and also challenge yourself! I highly recommend it!
I've learned HTML and some CSS and no JavaScript at all prior. I signed up for this workshop as a way to dip my feet into web development with the ultimate aim of switching careers into tech. The workshop structure made it easy to learn the basic introductory concepts for each of the three programming languages. The short video lessons (with supplemental documentation) taught the concepts in small manageable chunks. The lesson challenge exercises, solution thereafter, weekly assignment, and finally the project force you apply the concepts all the while keeping you accountable so you start AND finish the workshop. Great workshop on the basics. I enjoyed it. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!
After working through the basic workshop, I knew I had to take coding a bit further. The Plus workshop is certainly a challenge, but I feel more confident than ever that I can tackle any task or problem presented to me. I've started accepting client projects already, and while there's still much to learn, it feels great to have made it this far! Onwards to REACT!

I really enjoyed the hands-on experience with SheCodes. It was great introduction to coding, and the bite-size lessons and challenges kept me engaged throughout the entire course. Completing the project was my baby step into this huge coding world, and there is so much more to learn! I am excited!
Such a great intro to coding. All areas are broken down into simple steps and then you are given projects to reinforce your learnings. I liked the fact I could always find answers to my queries by searching the slack community :)
What an adventure since the first workshop! So much things seen from the basic HTML structure to React. It was a pleasure to learn React and to deliver these two projects. I can't wait to start the last workshop ! π
SheCodes Basic course was incredibly fun yet challenging! I was worried that it would be too difficult, but Matt Delac's videos were very well-paced. Each video would come with an objective for you to learn, and we are to follow up by applying the knowledge through mini 'Challenges'. By the end of the Basics course, I found myself having fun and breezing through the Project! Thank you Matt for the guidance and for giving me the confidence to code independently!
SheCodes is very easy to follow for someone who is interested in coding but has always found it difficult to understand. The challenges are helpful for practice of the 'learn' portion of the project. I would definitely continue to the more advanced workshops
I recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning to code. It's helpful to see the process from beginning to end of how a developer would tackle such project. The help on Slack is great as well!

I had so much fun learning more advanced techniques, interacting with APIs and learning how to host. With SheCodes Plus, I really got the chance to get familiar with the coding workflow and built a really cool final project! The lessons are very easy to follow and the challenges are always pushing you to step it up.
I really enjoyed this course. Matt is a great instructor and the challenges were fun and engaging. This is a great introductory course to coding. Even if you're not able to afford to take the advanced classes, I feel like the beginner one still gives you enough tools to learn the basics and continue learning on your own, if you want. The team is very helpful and responsive to any questions you may have, and its fun to be a part of the slack group with other women, from all over the world also taking the class! I had a lot of fun working on my final project, and I am satisfied with how it turned out. I'm excited to continue to learn coding, and hopefully put my skills to use eventually!
This was such a challenging but rewarding course! I feel like I was really encouraged to push the boundaries of what I thought would be possible and it inspired me to do additional learning to make my project really come to life. It's so exciting to think that I was able to execute almost all of the ideas I had for this in week one by week eight, without even knowing what would be possible at that time! My SheCodes Journey over the last few months was truly inspiring. In this time I have rediscovered my passion for learning and cultivated my passion for coding. The Responsive Workshop was very helpful for understanding how responsive design works. It was especially satisfying to see the results of my work in my final project. Matt is a great instructor who takes everything in small enough steps to not make you feel overwhelmed by the new learning. I highly recommend this course for anyone who would like to learn more about how to make websites responsive.

I've tried learning code both on my own and through other courses, some much more expensive than this one. This is the first course where I actually felt confident by the final project. Every single thing you do adds up to the end! I'm feeling more optimistic about my future as a web developer after this course.
I found this course really great to get me started on coding my own projects before starting a University course to transition me into the IT sector. I have gained a lot of confidence from SheCodes and it has made me a lot less nervous.
This is the end of my journey with SheCodes, but I always hope that Matt and his team will choose to do a new workshop or a new project to follow for showing in our portfolio to be more attractive. My experience with SheCodes so far has been worthwhile, from the free workshop to the SheCodes Basic workshop. I felt a sense of accomplishment with my project, not because the project is the best but I was able to code a lovely page within three weeks is an awesome experience. I can't wait to start the SheCodes Plus courtesy Delac Foundation.
I'm an absolute beginner and I've tried to learn to code through other programs online and failed everytime...until I found SheCodes! The Basics Workshop was so much fun and Matt was a great instructor. The videos were super helpful and the weekly homework was challenging but not discouraging. I enjoyed the final project as it allowed me to be creative, have fun, and it was so satisfying to see how much I was able to learn in just a week! I can't wait for the SheCodes Plus workshop π₯°

It has been such a fun and educational three weeks. I have never enjoyed coding so much before. Prior to enrolling at SheCodes, I used to feel hesitant to code despite being a Computer Science major. I entered the world of front-end development via SheCodes. I didn't believe myself to achieve the projects but I was always surprised with the results. I did it and will always do thanks to Matt and thanks to SheCodes!
Earlier, I was not confident in building a webpage through HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I completed my project with some online help but was not sure about how everything was implemented. One day, I saw a couple of ads on Youtube and Facebook about SheCodes and just gave it a try. Today I just finished my project, and I can't explain in words that how confident I was. Thank you, Matt, for offering such excellent services. I am pleased and highly recommend SheCodes for all women who want to start their journey in the coding world.
When I first saw this name "SheCodes" ,I thought :" I have to be part of this π. The React course is challenging but very rewarding. I have made a lot of progress in a short time and I think this have given me an excellent base to build on for future projects and hopefully a future role as a front-end developer.
I loved the Responsive course and the tools provided to create websites that are fully functional to any device. This course allowed us to apply the knowledge gained through the duration of the course into a final project: a personal portfolio. I am very happy with the final result and the next step for me is the REACT module π
This has been an amazing course! I could never imagine I'd be able to set up an entire website by myself within 5 weeks and be so pleased with the result! I've definitely gained a very well understanding of the main principles that can render a website user friendly and effective and cannot wait to use this knowledge in future projects.
It's a really good course! The videos are easy to understand, and helpful when you are building the project. I found it very interesting and I learned a lot. The most important thing is that when you have a doubt you can ask it in the slack channel, and they'll help you, I think this makes the difference with other courses. I completely recommend the course.

The SheCodes Plus course has taught me and challenged so much. I found this course comprehensive and substantial, and it also took me out of my comfort zone and enabled me to learn much more JS than when I started. This course was particularly good because I have been able to add my new knowledge to a project that I am proud to include in my portfolio! Putting the knowledge we learnt to practice in the final project was incredibly rewarding and I can't wait to start reaching out to potential new employers!
SheCodes Basics is a great introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript! The theory is explained in an easy-to-understand way and Matt shows many examples when explaining. I was surprised at how quickly I understood brand new concepts! I enjoyed the final project and felt super motivated after seeing what I've built. I'm looking forward to learning more on my journey into front-end development.
Shecodes workshops are excellently, and the tutoring is clear and straightforward. The weekly tasks, final projects, slack and e-mail reminders help to stay on track. The 'solution' videos are also great; having the code at our disposal is a huge plus that allows us to improve and be more efficient. We can constantly test and figure out what works and what doesn't work. I feel that with shecodes is possible to learn how to code. If you aren't sure if you are capable, trust in shecode and go for it, it is worth it!!

I am happy to finish another course with SheCodes. I learned so much with React yet there is still much to do! This time around I struggled a bit with balancing everything on my schedule but feel good to finish that final project. Thank you for everything!

I finished SheCodes Basics and it was a huge personal challenge. Even though I was nearly to quit, I persisted and finished my final project. It is a hard path but I believe the rewards personal and professionally are the best.
I am really happy with the course! The videos and structure of the course are very clear and easy to follow. The final project is the perfect closure to make you feel confident in what you have learnt while developing your own project from scratch and encourage you to learn more.
I initially joined SheCodes with the view to learn some basics so I could communicate better with our in-house Dev team. I have been blown-away by the amazing SheCodes community and the support everyone gives each other. It may not be the best looking, but I am chuffed to bits with my final project and so proud that I wrote all the code on my own! I will be continuing my journey with SheCodes Plus and React :)
I already knew some programming due to my studies, and I found that here I could easily enjoy the exercises and use my creative side when it came to the final project! This course showed me that I can be really good at something and enjoy it at the same time, which I'm very grateful for.
SheCodes has been a challenging but fun experience. I never thought coding could be fun! I loved the challenges after each video because it allowed me to apply what I had just learned right away. This made it that much easier to retain the content. The clear video content, additional resources and tips along the way really helped me in completing the final project. I had an amazing (and challenging!) time on SheCodes React. Building two projects was a really good way of getting to grips with React and its structure, and the component-based approach was helpful in breaking projects down into smaller, manageable tasks. I can't wait to take what I've learned here and apply it to side and portfolio projects!
If I could put into words the three weeks I spent on SheCodes basics. These would be: Incredible, challenging and super fun. Even now, when I look back at all my previous homework and projects, I feel so victorious because it was inconceivable a month ago. SheCodes Basics was a great way to see what coding is all about. The tutorial videos and the Slack channel community were very helpful. My favorite part was applying what I had learned to my own assignments and having the opportunity to build a final project that aligns with my own interests!
This is a great experience, I learned and enjoyed a lot! I thought it would be too difficult since I'm not a programmer but Matt explains every little detail very well, gives you the info about the tools you need and you can go back anytime to review every part of it. Also, I had a very hard month in my life and the course is very friendly with the deadlines of lessons and final project, found that very useful.
Great workshop and I especially enjoyed the final project, applying all the elements I've learned. The only caveat is that you need to plan on spending more than 5 hours a week, especially during the first week as there is a lot of material to go through. I had no previous coding knowledge so did spend a lot of time trying to figure out why the code was not working but help on Slack was really great.

This was such a fun project. It is very important to know how to make your website responsive to different devices. Which is why I highly recommend taking this workshop. Great video instructions that I will come back to when ever I need to refresh my memory. Matt also shows differen problem solving methods in his instruction videos which I find really helpful. I really appreciate the emphasis on having good coding practise and learning how to go about coding a design that has already been made. This workshop is a perfect addition to the the other workshops. Thank you so much for all I have learned ππ
After completing SheCodes Basics, I went straight onto completing SheCodes Plus. It has been an amazing journey and I am so proud of what I have accomplished with my end project. Even with a full-time job and three children, I have really looked forward to my evenings of coding. You are never too old to learn new tricks! Onwards!
My friend told me about SheCodes a couple of year ago but I did not think I had what it took to learn. Though the pandemic year I decided to challenge myself to try and learn, enter into it with a clear head and ready to make a tonne of mistakes. I never thought that today I would be handing in my first project. I felt like there was a lot of support especially when I made a number of silly mistakes. Don't get me wrong, this process still requires focus and dedication to come back to things when they get hard but I really enjoyed this process. I am keen to learn more because now I have started the only way is up!
SheCodes Plus was a true test of skill and patience for myself. I found myself walking away after getting frustrated, just to come back and notice a small mistake I made. I felt so excited and proud of myself for not giving up! This program is helping me build incredible skills. I'm excited to continue to practice and see what other projects I can work on.
