I highly recommend this class to anyone interested. It is great for beginners, like myself! The instructor is a great teacher and explains the concepts very well. The final project is a little challenging, but rewarding when finished!
I had a great time learning to code with SheCodes Basics. I didn't know the first thing about coding when I started, and I really surprised myself with my final project. It was so much fun, and so satisfying to find out that I was good at something new!

I was really surprise with the amount of things I have learned in the past 3 weeks while doing the SheCodes course. I had no idea about coding, still have loads to learn, but my final project made me really happy. I can definitely say I enjoy my time while doing the exercices and projects.

I really enjoyed 3 weeks learning Coding! The course structure was very good and the challenge part was very nice. I could really felt that I was on a same page (literally!) as instructor. Another great course! I decided to use my final project to make an author website for my mum - it was amazing to be able to confidently work on a real-life project, and I had a lot of fun making the content adapt to different screen sizes. Looking forward to returning to JavaScript in SheCodes React!
SheCodes has been a great resource to get me coding at a pace I can control with enough structure to keep me focused on completing classes and projects. I had to take several months off but was able to jump back in with relative ease. Glad I can play back my former lessons as refresher and they are always there if I need them in the future. The introductory course to coding is highly recommended if you want to learn in an interactive way. The way the course is set up triggers your motivation and the ability to complete your project. You learn technical language and tools to use. The time spent on the course has gone very fast since it has been a lot of fun and caught my interest very much. I look forward to applying my new knowledge to my job as a tester, and would recommend the course to others who are interested in coding. π
I really enjoyed taking the SheCodes Basic course and I was so surprised I could learn so many things in such a short time. I went from having absolutely no idea of what css was, to happily coding my very fisrt project in just a few weeks! A huge thanks to Matt and the entire SheCodes team!
As a Business Analyst and working with developers, I found it important to have a better understanding of coding and to see what can be done. SheCodes Basic allowed me to discover this world and gave me the basics I needed. For my final project I wanted to create a site that represents my resume which will then help to apply for my first job in IT environment.

Iβm happy to share that I have finished my Weather App project for SheCodes Plus. Or it would be more appropriate to say βdecided to stop with it for the momentβ xD Since the way Iβve been seeing it - itβs pretty more than I was expected to submit as homework. I tried my best to make it already responsive, though this topic will follow in next course only. And itβs firm 80% of what I wanted it to be, inclusive of: - themes and layers are changing based on weather conditions - clouds animation depends on wind speed - fonts react to day / night - the cities options are populated from Google API - basic settings of theme and units are available, along with GPS position saved due to localStorage - there are some pretty Bootstrap elements - Iβve picked up some funny pixel-style visuals for loaders and found exactly the same old-school games font I was looking for - and againβ¦ itβs already pretty responsive to different viewports. That was a challenge, especially the responsive part. And another opportunity to double confirm that knowing your target itβs already half way. Googling a right question itβs already half an answer. I havenβt figured out yet why there are issues with GPS on iPhones and some Bootstrap elements on certain iphones only, so letβs head to SheCodes Responsive and check whether there are the answers I need. (My precious) That little Ghibli tribute was done from the bottom of my heart. Thanks a lot to Matthieu Delac Aussaguel and SheCodes Team for providing the coding skeleton knowledge (and setting courses with deadlines). And big thanks to my main testers. My husband, in whose eyes I saw proud instead of irritation for me staring into monitor for hours. And my beloved friend and former colleague from Moscow - country is definitely not the limit.
I learned so much during this workshop. Every lesson+challenge feels like a fun game and it's so gratifying to be able to build a website as a final project. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in coding. I had so much fun learning and designing.
After working with all of the amazing projects I feel really confident about the skills I have learned from SheCodes and I feel really happy that I got to learn from SheCodes. I never thought that I will be a front-end developer. Thankyou SheCodes for helping me so much.

SheCodes React was challenging but great fun from start to finish. Along with the previous workshops I completed I now have three working projects that I can showcase my new skills. This is down to the excellent teaching from Matt, and the support from the rest of the SheCodes team.
This was a very interesting and valuable experience. I enjoy learning from SheCodes and I've been very enthusiastic to finish my challenges and project. Stepping into next level of this journey is an exciting feeling for me.

SheCodes is a great platform. I believe if a person wants learn coding, starting with HTML and CSS is a right choice and SheCodes is just the perfect place for it. It was quite a journey to learn coding with React, including moments of frustration, but mostly with positive feelings when my ideas came alive. When I began my coding journey, I didn't have a path to follow but with SheCodes, that path was defined. A path that is easy for anyone to follow and learn. I always felt a sense of fulfillment upon the completion of my homework as someone who had no prior coding knowledge. Two months into the workshop, I can build projects with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Skills I never thought I'd have. I am grateful to the Delac Foundation for the opportunity.

React is definitely more challenging than I thought but having done both the weather and dictionary app gave me perspective on how to use it. It's funny how one small dot or letter can make an app crash. Both projects made me be even more alert and focused when typing. I ready ready for the next and final courseππ½ββοΈπ©π½βπ»

I never thought I'd be able to understand front end code, let alone write it. Yet, here we are three weeks after taking the SheCodes plunge and I've just submitted my first project! The best thing about it? I looked forward to working on the project and the mini challenges every day. Matt teaches at the perfect pace and I love that you can recap on lessons if you want a refresh. π I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus now and build on the knowledge - very excited to see where this goes! π
This weather app is my second project with SheCodes. It's been quite an adventure for me. I started off strong, then I was ill for a couple of months, but I was happy to finally get back to finishing it. I struggled quite a bit, but I am so grateful for JoΓ£o's tremendous kindness and help - I couldn't have achieved my vision without him. I am so happy and proud of the result. I really hope to come back to this project and figure out how to get the page to load faster because that's the only thing that bothers me a bit. Aside from that, I have learned a lot! I created my own SVGs, which I can now say I will never do again, but I am happy for the experience :P I learned about APIs, hosting, GitHub, and obtained greater knowledge of JavaScript, which is not easy - I still have a lot to learn, but thanks to SheCodes I know a lot more than I did last year. I am now moving on to React and then Responsive. I am super excited! Thank you Matt, JoΓ£o, Julie, and Daniela! :D
The weather app was the second project I was able to realize through SheCodes. I learned such fundamental things as using APIs, using a hosting service to make my app accessible online and how to connect and update this hosting service with my code on GitHub. Besides that my understanding for Java Script was really broadened. At the same time this course was definitely much more complex than "SheCodes Basics" and I really struggled sometimes. When I got stuck the support of SheCodes helped out very professionally! Big shout-out to JoΓ£o and Bruno!!
I really enjoyed building the projects. I have to admit that this workshop was pretty advanced for me but I loved to see how I was improving to find my mistakes. Thank you for all your help!
Another SheCodes project finished, and when I look back to my first project, I'm amazed on how much more professional my work now looks. Matt provides us the tools to build on our previous knowledge!

My third workshop with SheCodes and once again, very satisfied with it! I'm happy I was taught how to make an online portfolio of my current projects and that it is responsive. Can't wait to add more projects to my portfolio and continue to improve it.
I have always been interested in coding. I, unfortunately, was told I was not a good fit for coding when I enrolled in college due to my lifestyle (wife and mother of two). I decided to follow the counselor's advice and in 2020 completed my major in Creative Writing. Throughout my school years, however, I took some coding classes and came across SheCodes--a coding program specifically built for women! Now that I am more confident and have more time for myself, I signed up with SheCodes ^_^ The lessons are broken down in a way that makes learning to code approachable, and the final project truly involved all that I learned. The SheCodes support team was very kind, understanding, and helpful. It's an efficient and easy-to-follow program, I recommend it to all.
I often say to everyone around me that SheCodes is the best thing that has ever happened in my life so far. In my case, this course is not about learning coding only and by the way, we have the best teacher ever... but it is also about fulfillment and happiness with what I am doing. I'll be forever grateful for everything I've learned here and for starting my journey in the best place. The course is so well done that I could learn something from each lesson and apply immediately to my project. Matt is absolutely awesome! I am extremely excited to start React and have a lot of fun ... today!

SheCodes has been instrumental in showing me that I can code and that it's not as scary as it may seem at first. Everything is hands-on, and that really works for me as I learn best by doing. Not only that, but I could fit it in to my lifestyle - it was easy to balance the assignments, modules, and projects while maintaining balance between my work, social, and home life. I'm so glad I found SheCodes and it's definitely going to help me kick-start my coding career.

This was a very exciting course to be part of and learn from. It is very easy to understand and learn from what is provided, but the most amazing part is that you don't learn like a "parrot", you have to apply code and thinking of your own. You get help from a tech team and your fellow learners which is great! I had so much fun with my final project and intend to just keep making it better and creating other fun projects.

This workshop has been so great; I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn about coding or web development! I've learned so much in just 3 weeks! The learn-then-apply format has been excellently executed by SheCodes, using a lesson + challenge + solution for each topic. This was super easy to follow and can be done at any pace, starting and stopping at any time. The cheat sheets are also great references for the homework, project, and future use. I like that the content of the workshop is modern and we learn to be resourceful in a modern way (using google searches to learn more, Slack channels to solve problems with our classmates, etc.). The available resources and the lessons were awesome, it was easy to understand and gives extra room to make the individual put effort to also look around and get used to researching for some other areas like stack overflow. The portfolio was an exciting project which makes me feel like I need to make a better one!

I was thinking about coding for a while, but being a Conservation Biologist had no idea where and how to start π I am super happy I have discovered SheCodes. The classes are designed so well, that it doesn't even feel like I am having a class. I learned so much from the basic course. I have wanted for some time now to learn coding which I have tried different programs, and none of them worked. I felt like was watching step after step, not really doing or learning. When it came to SheCodes and Matt, I felt like I was actually learning and with a great teacher. When it did come time to do my project, I knew what to do or if I was not sure where to look for assistance. I cannot wait for the next SheCode course!

This workshop was my third from SheCodes. Coding is challenging but with the guidance SheCodes team, it is easier! I love the personal approach to the students and the help behind the projects. Everything is well explained, the homework helped me to practice and the real-life projects are great as a tool to practice but also to put it to a portfolio as well. I really loved the lessons in SheCodes Plus -- they were super comprehensive and easy to understand. It was great that the final project could be as complex or a simple as you wanted to make it, leaving a lot of room for creativity!
The bootcamp gave me the basic skills I needed to become good at web development. The projects were a fun way to practice the skills I gained.
If you can keep pace and stay self guided throughout, this class is PHENOMENAL. You learn so, so much in such a short period of time. I will be using these new-found skills for my own personal independently operated graphic design business, but also hopefully in a job I get soon (I am already in interviews for a Project Manager position).
I had a lot of fun building my final project. It was challenging and sometimes felt desperate, but in the end you can always find an answer if you ask or google well enough! It feels that I`ve learnt so much in the course of this project.
SheCodesPlus has been both a fun and challenging journey for me! I enjoyed the fact that I could watch the video lessons as many times as I needed and I could even go back to them after a while in case of doubts! Matt's explanations are clear and easy to follow and the support team on Slack is really competent, kind and helpful! I am really appreciative of all of the hard work behind building/maintaining this project and of the great working opportunities many of us are going to get from the newly-acquired knowledge.

Amazing course so far! I tried other coding bootcamps and they were either too expensive or too hard and tedious to learn.
