I never believed that I could ever understand coding in life. But Matt has an incredible talent to turn things simple and easy. The course could have more content in the third week since the project does not take much time. But in general, I recommend the workshop to anyone who, like myself, wishes to have a basic notion of coding.
I highly recommend this workshop. I feel like I've learned a lot of new skills, which will be really useful later on. I also really enjoyed the project part.

After my 3 week intro course I was ready to learn more. I have now submitted my final project in SheCodes Plus workshop and I am so proud of my self for how everything turned out. Can not thank Matt and the whole SheCodes team enough for making coding so much fun and for always being there. Now I am ready to join the React workshop to learn even more.
I enjoyed the SheCodes Workshop very much. The workshop pace is just right, and you can watch and rewatch the videos at your own time. Matt's videos and materials are very clear and I am able to follow and learn the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript. These topics were initially rather daunting, but this workshop exceeded my expectations. The Challenges at the end of each lesson help reinforce the teachings and allow us to practise. The website and videos are nicely done, and the SheCodes Radio helped me focus during my Challenges and project. It was a lot of fun doing the course and the project. I would like to thank Matt and team, and the team on Slack who answers our questions so promptly and readily! Thank you!
I am glad I found this platform where I learned HTML, CSS and JavaScript and was able to create a working application. I faced several challenges while working on projects but the process has taught me to further my research and solve them. I am thankful to the SheCodes team who helped me whenever I needed guidance and assistance.

SheCodes Workshop totally exceeded all expectations of what I thought the course would be like, and what I would gain from doing it. The prospect of learning how to code (effectively from scratch!) was daunting at first, but the course format, structure of each lesson, set tasks/challenges and weekly homework projects made my coding journey not only fun and digestible, but also extremely rewarding. Being able to receive personal feedback as well as learn and take inspiration from other coders on the Slack channel was a real bonus, and it has been great to be part of the community! I'm really pleased with the knowledge and skills I've gained from doing the Workshop course, and can't wait to challenge myself further with SheCodes Plus/Plus React 😊.

The SheCodes Plus workshop is well explained and practical. There is a nice combination of video's and practicing. You learn by working on your own project. I didn't expect to be able to make weather app in such a short time! The last lessons enable you to start another nice project on your own, after finishing the workshop.

SheCodes is a great place to start learning code. I was a skeptical at first because my young mind doesn't do well with people telling me exactly what I should be doing and not giving me the freedom of making my own projects or learning on my own. Matt's lesson give you very clear knowledge and so much room to learn things in your own way and at your own pace. I hope everyone can learn as much as I did. Can't wait to go out and learn more! 😋
I was so hesitant about my computer skills in the beginning! With more practice though I was able to start coding and create my first project! I am excited to start next week's class. :)
I am glad that I decided to take this workshop. It's really cool how easy and fun the learning process was. But at the same time, we had complicated homework and projects. I only took three week's workshop, but it gave me an understanding of Front-End Development.
I have really enjoyed working on this React project and I just want to keep on learning more!
Wow! Finally I can shout JOB DONE! In honesty, it's challenging in every way, as it's a new world of thinking and understanding. I will never regret the choice of spending nearly 6 full months doing this part-time course, it has not only given me a new way of thinking but also created new project plans within coding and art!
I consider SheCodes as the most powerful teaching platform. Matt customized the course material while putting himself into our shoes and this was the main reason I could manage to complete the course. (I started from Workshop, took Plus course, and this was the most challenging one.) Matt can teach very complicated information into a simple but sophisticated way and thanks to him I could carry on my interest in coding and motivation to learn more towards all the way down to the end of this course. I would like to recognize countless and continuous supports that I got through Slack group chat platform. While observing other peer students` success such as completing weekly tasks (exercise or projects), I gained positive vibes from those who already moved to the next stage and I tried again with never-give-up spirits. Programming is a combination of simple coding. Human created programming to control (or perhaps communicate with) the machine in a simpler way. While celebrating the completion of SheCodes React course, I would like to consider SheCodes as the well-structured stepping stone that I can always refer to. Last but not least, I would like to show my appreciation to Matt who kindly followed his value, inspired by his mom, sharing the professional knowledge to empower women on the IT field. Even though I did not have much interaction with peer students who are located all over the world, I do consider the feeling of the solidarity with them. It would be interesting to have an interaction with alumni by having a reunion or graduates` association to check how alumni are doing after the graduation. Matt`s core passion and his power of execution motivated me to take step forward my own version of contribution to the world. Thank you SheCodes staffs, Matt, Joao, Sara!

SheCodes has taught me so much in only 3 weeks, I now have a good understanding of the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and how it all fits together to build a webpage. I find myself exploring the code of webpages that I come across via the inspect option in Google Chrome. I particularly enjoyed the final project where I have applied my learning to build my very own landing page. Even if I do not take SheCodes further I can say that I have learned skills and knowledge which are highly valuable in the digital age that we live in.
I enjoyed the course very much! It was challenging enough but at the same time easy to follow. I also had some trouble submitting the final project and received help right away! I had an amazing experience.

Learning React with SheCodes was a great time. The lessons were short, focused around a specific topic and easy to follow. Thanks to that, there's no way to feel overwhelmed or bored. The challenges were stimulating and fun to do. It was so satisfying to observe my app evolving with the skills gained throughout the course. I feel like my code is now looking much neater than in vanilla project. Starting my coding adventure, I was pretty scared that all of this will be too hard for me to understand. I'm glad that I overcame this feeling and realised that it isn't necessary to have a tech background to complete SheCodes workshop triad. I highly recommend it to everyone interested in frontend.
SheCodes gave me an amazing opportunity to put HTML, CSS & JS concepts into practice with a real-life project. It was exciting and gave me tremendous confidence. Hope it will help me achieve one of my career goals.

Thank you for this wonderful workshop on Front-End Development. It is very straight-forward and geared at teaching you how to build a functioning weather-app in no time. Additionally, every student learns how to create a project on GitHub and connect it to Netlify and use APIs for a web-app. I will admit that there will be tough learning curves. However, there is a wonderful Slack-Community where we help each other out. If you don't have too much coding knowledge, I would highly recommend this.
Really clear, comprehensive explanations on each subject. Weather app is a good project to start your journey as it includes a lot of useful programming skills, and I leave this course with, what I feel, is a good understanding of them
I loved working on this project since it gave us the needed tools to integrate real-time information using an API. After creating this project, I have learned a lot in JavaScript. Before I looked through the Vanilla JS videos, I had googled how to increment days in JavaScript which gave me more information as to how JavaScript's internal dates work. This has been a great challenge to complete!
The class was well taught and well planned. I wish the refactoring lesson had an accompanying exercise, even though it is mentioned as more of a preview for future courses. Most HWs are a culmination of skills you have previously practiced in lessons and their accompanying challenge. Challenges, although not checked the way HW is checked, serve as wonderful stepping stones to the weekly HW and final project. Questions can be asked on Slack and answers are quickly received in less than a day. The class gives you tools for learning on your own in addition to using what you have been taught. This is an excellent course for those looking to dip their toes into the world of coding!
This is a very cool course! I'm learn more about the functions in Java script and about GitHub, Netlify, Bootstrap and API. Many interesting lessons with even more interesting tasks - for me was a lot of fun. And as a conclusion - a personally made project "Weather App". Thanks SheCodes team!
So worth it! It can be difficult at times, but the support you can get along the way is great. SheCodes gave me all the right steps and guidance on how to get started and create a project I'm really proud of. I would recommend it to anyone!
As someone who has learned basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the past, this workshop was a great refresher for me and gave me the creative freedom to really put what I'd learned (and re-learned) into practice. The lessons were constructed in an organized, straight-forwarded manner, and summarized concepts clearly and simply. The assignments and projects were set up in a way that really had to make me think about what I'd learned and figure out where and how to implement it correctly. Throughout the course, I didn't feel like I was spoon-fed at all, and was able to gain a greater understanding of concepts despite having learned them before. Now, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and and ready to move on and learn even more!

SheCodes Plus was a real challenge for me after completing the SheCodes intro workshop (no surprise there, we did dive into Javascript functions! 🤯). As someone who has never written a line of code before taking these SheCodes workshops, I am proud of myself for finishing this course with a functional project to show for it. What I liked most about SheCodes is that it allowed me to move at my own pace. I hit some road blocks, not fully understanding certain concepts as they got more advanced and wishing I had more time to process the information. The team at SheCodes was gracious about deadlines, giving me the time I needed to complete my work, and whenever I got stuck, I was able to post in the Slack channel for help. The moment when things started to click for me while working on my project, I felt so empowered and capable. I'm inspired to continue learning and to see where this road may lead me!
I would really recommend this three-week workshop of SheCodes!! Matt's way of teaching is very efficient and simple so it is very easy to understand and put what you learned into action. The homework helps you put into practice what you just learned, which is great since you learn best by doing. By the time I reached my final project, I felt much more confident imagining what I wanted my page to look like and what I had to code to achieve it! It has been very fun to learn front-end coding 🤗. There have been so many times in my career where knowing even a little HTML would have provided me with some guidance on tough design projects. After taking this intro course, I now have a better understanding of how my designs and animations are being used on the web in their final state. I hope to continue with SheCodes for as long as possible, and to keep adding these little +1 ups to my resume!
I really enjoyed the workshop! Thank you for creating something interesting and inclusive! However, I felt like it would be better to introduce some commands before giving the project since I am complete zero in coding, it was confusing googling some commands, and I felt like I wasn't learning from Google
I first came across SheCodes on GGI, a facebook group for women living abroad. I had always had coding in the back of my mind, ever since we learned some basic HTML during my master's degree in English Language Teaching. I love materials design and as Computer Assisted Language Learning is becoming more and more common, I loved the idea of being able to create my own webpages. I am a SAHM at the moment, so I like the format of the SheCodes workshops, since I could access the content whenever I had some peace and quiet - super useful if you have a little toddler running around. I loved every minute of it and also enjoyed all the challenges and being able to choose something unique for our final project. I will continue learning and looking forward to diving deeper into the world of Java Script.

SheCodes is a great program to start learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The instructor, Matt, is easy to understand and does a great job explaining all of the new concepts. I took the Xmas break to invest in myself by taking a three-week SheCodes workshop. It took me a few days to get into the programming mood, but once I started working on the first chapters, time just flew by. And within a blink, the three weeks were over and I had finished my first own real live project, and I am so proud to have exposed myself to unknown territory and been able to come up with something I feel happy about. I really like the structure of Shecodes: bite-sized, digestible lessons; challenges after each lesson; homework each week and a big project in the end. The course is demanding, yet not less interesting and fun. Matt's instructions are really insightful and easy to understand. In only a few minutes, each lesson manages to tap into a new useful area. I really like the networking opportunities with SheCodes as well. The student support team here is also super fast, friendly and helpful. This is my first Coding Course and I highly recommend SheCodes to any rookies out there!!

Very clear and objective video lessons and learning format/tool. And well explained content. Of course, at the end of the course, some topics (which are more complex) still need to be deepened and the review and continued practice is necessary, after all, a different and new content for me. But it provided a very good level to start creating independent projects!

The SheCodes Plus Workshop series was a challenging but uniquely rewarding experience. As a beginner to coding, the idea of building my own website from scratch extremely extremely daunting at first. However, with the current state of uncertainty that seems to loom across the world, the weekly projects gave me something tangible to look forward to each week. I also have a new appreciation for every website I go on, now that I understand the time and effort that goes into building one. If you are considering these workshops even a little, DO IT! And you'll be happy that you did.
SheCodes taught me a lot about the fundamental pillars of code such as CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. I have been struggling to learn code on my own, but with this workshop it made complete sense! The videos were easy to follow, homework assignments were challenging, and the final project gave us creative freedom. I'll definitely be registering for SheCodes React later this year. 👾 If you're hesitant or debating between SheCodes and another workshop, I highly recommend SheCodes! It was more like a game where you had to "beat each level" before advancing. I'm a visual learner and the way Matt explained everything was perfect. I always thought coding was for guys and nerds, with this course, I found is not that hard or for special people to learn. I prove myself I can do it, I feel empowered, most of all, I'm very proud of myself to understand what is the meaning of product development; and as a project manager, I'm planning to start using this knowledge more. I believe that if we do not know how to speak digital, we'll be very behind. If you want to level up your coding skills, this will be the course to start! 😎
SheCodes was a great way to learn an introductory to coding. The 3-week college-class style format helped keep me on track and on-schedule with each lesson and the videos and projects made me practice each skill at a time and in easily digestible chunks. Overall, it was a fun and easy way to learn coding for the first time.
I've always viewed coding as boring or too difficult to wrap my head around it. After taking this workshop I realize how creative and fun coding is! I wasn't expecting much but I found myself really enjoying the short lectures and the challenges. The help from the Slack channel was also super nice because we're a whole community sharing resources and common issues. I found myself really going out in the final project and researching different components I wanted to add. You can say I suprised myself. I'm excited to continue on to the next workshop and learning better ways to code.

A great intro for complete beginners on how to start learning on your own later. I had some background in css and html from teen years, but it was first time learning JavaScript. Enjoyed the course, definitely need to make some more projects to make sure to not forget the basics learnt in this course.
After completing the Introduction to Coding course back in summer, I was looking forward to developing my knowledge and testing myself - the Plus course definitely delivered! On many occasions I found myself frustrated when working through the weekly lessons and challenges, but when I began the homework I was surprised to realise how much I'd actually taken in and that it was a lot easier than anticipated. It was really fun and I've loved working on my project, from building my initial wireframe to spending hours working on and streamlining my JavaScript. There are some improvements that I'd like to have made to the code of my final project, but I took on board Matt's advice of only coding what you understand, not copying and pasting. I know that with time and patience I'll gain an even more advanced understanding, but I'm pretty stoked with what I've built considering six months ago my only knowledge of code was (very) basic HTML from the days of MySpace!
I had always been interested to look into coding. Yet, as a female you rarely see the opportunities a career in IT holds. I am very happy to have signed up for the 3-weeks SheCodes Workshop as I now have a basic understanding on web development. Matt explains everything in a very practical way, which is great! I did not expect to build my very own (interactive) landing page as final project - I am more than satisfied and highly recommend SheCodes to others!
I would highly recommend SheCodes for anyone looking for a solid foundation in coding without dropping thousands on a bootcamp. A great course for beginners definitely worth it. I loved the fact that the curriculum is divided in several short videos and after each video you get to apply what you have learned in the challenge and afterwards combine everything you have learned in the homework and finally in the final project. In 2020 after 7 years of designing and managing IT projects, I have decided to learn software development, I wanted to know how to use all modern technologies, tools and frameworks. My experience in coding was limited to basic university program of c# and java. Thanks to SheCodes lessons (Plus and React) I have received updated and practical knowledge in order to build and maintain by myself web apps using HTML-CSS-JS or React.js framework. As a consequence I can now manage development teams even better than before or directly take a role of Front End dev in a project. Matt Delac is a great tutor, I appreciate a lot his mission! Now I am a certified Front End developer.

A great introduction to coding - I have learnt so much these past few weeks. Really enjoyable and the videos were easy to follow. I expected more teaching in the third week rather than just the project, but a great experience overall! I would definitely recommend.

SheCodes workshop offers an insight into the world of coding, making it both accessible and ENJOYABLE for absolute beginners like me! I was thinking about taking up a course for quite some but I was also very hesitant, thinking I will not manage to complete it without any background programming knowledge. I couldn't be more wrong! Coding with SheCodes was engaging, interesting, colorful and it was fun! I felt motivated at all times and wanted to submit all challenges without fail. I'm submitting my final project now and I'm sad it's already over but I also have no doubt that I can take up higer level courses and I will succeed in these as well. Thank you!
I found the React project super challenging but very rewarding too. All in all, this was a brilliant course so thank you so much to Matt and the team, especially João who has amazing patience!
The lesson videos were clear and concise. Teaching was very structured, allowing me to practise what I learn through the small challenges and homework so it didn't feel too difficult and gave me confidence one step at a time to progress until the project at the end of the course.

My SheCodes adventure has been a fun & delightful one. Like all good things, It has now come to an end, but i will hopefully keep in touch with the team & fellow students through Slack. I thoroughly enjoyed discovering & gaining some basic skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript & React. It will help me continue to learn on my own, but i'm not ready to apply for a development job yet. I really enjoyed the SheCodes workshops! I enrolled to refresh my web development knowledge, as I haven't touched it in 5 years, and wound up getting a proper grasp on some things that I'd used previously used but hadn't really understood. The videos explain things quite well, the bite-sized exercises and homework really help reinforce the learnings, and completing the final project really brings a sense of achievement.

I honestly never thought I would be able to learn JS, let alone finish a web app by myself! Especially after taking so many online tutorials/courses and ending up frustrated. After finishing the Intro to Coding I Workshop I just had to keep going and the Front End Development was the obvious next step. Matt is a fantastic teacher, explaining every step of the way as he goes along, and feel I have a pretty solid foundation on JS and Front End now to start my own projects now. Have learned so much about html, css, and javascript. Concepts I didn't understand before were made much more clear! Great course to take. Project was challenging, but an excellent way to work on concepts learned throughout the course.
Building my own project with SheCodes Plus was very challenging but also fun and I learned a lot!
The Plus course was well structured. The level was high, nevertheless really fun to learn new topic each week. The weekly homework allow you to apply what was learned directly on your own project which was really helpful. Overall you get a good insight into what coding/front-end development is all about. Thank you for this fun experience and I would love to continue coding.

The workshop was very well structured. Each lesson was challenging but also very engaging and easy to follow. As someone who has never coded before, it was really rewarding to see my final project showcase what I've learned in a short amount of time! ☺️
I'm stunned at how much I've learned in three short weeks! The class is really well structured with easy to understand videos. I'm really happy I had the final project to show off what I've learned by the end of it. I would definitely recommend this course to others who are looking to get started in the world of coding!
This was a really fun course, definitely challenging and frustrating at times, but I had a lot of fun working on the homeworks and the final project. Matt really takes you through it step by step and when it all started to click it felt amazing! Highly recommended.
Good for beginners, I loved the extra tools this course shared with us (like Color Hunt, Design Palette, Codepen etc) it helped in building the final project. Over all great structure and easy to follow.
The workshop was great to learn the basic skills of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I enjoyed the training and working on my own project a lot!
