I have never coded in my life until this workshop and I found it to be super understandable. Each lesson was mainly followed by a practice right after which helped greatly. The final project was fun and enjoyable even though I stumbled upon a few challenges. Great way to introduce yourself to coding!
I learnt a lot, and the course is very challenging. I do feel that some more complex areas were glossed over a bit. Although these concepts were shown/explained in the main project videos, I think it would have benefitted with more 'lessons' to demonstrate these methods more clearly so that I could get a bettter grasp of them, instead jumping straight into the projects so soon. I will definitely need to re-visit the videos again.

I never would have thought I'd learn so much in such a small space of time! The projects are really fun and interesting, and key processes are repeated, so you find yourself becoming familiar with writing React code and debugging quickly. I'll really miss this journey! Thank you SheCodes team! :)

SheCodes responsive is very very fun! I enjoyed so much my final project, creating a webpage just for myself. I have many ideas for it and I was able to achieve my page just the way I wanted it! I am satisfied!
I am so amazed that I have been able to complete the SheCodes Basics Course with such ease!! I had so many doubts in myself but once I started, I had so much fun and loved working on the final project in week 3!! I am so excited to start SheCodes Plus, I know there will be challenges but that is what makes it so thrilling, to overcome those challenges and find the solitions to succeed. SheCodes Basics has been really wonderful. I got to learn basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript and put all those knowledge in use while working on the project. The challenges at the end of each lesson really test your understanding which I feel was very helpful. I would definitely encourage women who are thinking in terms of coding to try the Basics workshop. It is fun, enjoyable and you get to learn actual coding !!!
I loved SheCodes so much! Matt made it so easy to learn the basics of front-end development. The lessons are very short and digestible, but long enough to get all the necessary information needed to complete your challenges and homework. The project was SO fun and I found it very easy to apply what I've learned to create my page. I'll definitely be taking a more advanced course in the future.
I enjoyed working on my project, though it was a bit challenging, because while coding, i still had to work and also nurse my 3month old baby. But in all i enjoyed it because i worked on something i would like to be a reality.
This was my last workshop with SheCodes and a great addition to the Basics, Plus and React. Building responsive websites is the future. You will learn so many new things. I highly recommend it as Matt explains everything in detail and the final project is so much fun.

I've tried many coding tutorials in the past, but SheCodes teaches material in a way that is fun and engaging. The material is taught in a manner where the student is not overburdened with trivial technicalities but given the necessary tools to explore and create projects that correlate well with real-world use cases. I'm very excited to make use of my skills, and I've learned more in 3 weeks than I ever did 6 months into so called web development courses.
Iβve always wanted to learn web development and chose SheCodes because it allowed me to learn anytime. As a full time working parent, finding an online course that I could fit into my schedule was really important. I was able to learn a lot and put it together to create project, something I wasnβt able to do with other online tutorials. Matthew does a great job of explaining everything. I would highly recommend.
Looking at my project I am proud that I build such a thing. I liked that I could do the work at a time and pace that was convenient for me.

Learning how to build a multi-page website via SheCodes Responsive has been such a beneficial experience. Not only am I able to start applying what I've learnt onto simple web design jobs β I'm also able to showcase my portfolio on a website that can be counted as a project of itself too! π

After finishing SheCodes Plus I was not sure whether I should do SheCodes Responsive or SheCodes React first. I'm glad I decided to do SheCodes Responsive first to slow down and focus on the design aspect and learn more about optimizing sizing of pages for certain devices. I am excited and nervous to move on to SheCodes React but I am excited to update my portfolio with new projects!
SheCodes Responsive is the workshop where everything truly comes together. I used everything I have learned so far, in SheCodes Basics and Plus and combined it with Responsive to build my portfolio project. It is very satisfying to see how much I achieved since I started learning, and it all thanks to the SheCodes workshops. :)

Amazing Again! This is my 3rd course with SheCodes, and I have gained an insane amount of skills and confidence in coding within a short space of time. I thoroughly enjoyed creating my own Responsive website for my portfolio, it gave me ample opportunity to strengthen my command of Bootstrap. After taking Basics and Plus, I was fully equipped to tackle my Responsive project more independently. It was great learning how to build a project on which I could showcase my Weather App and future projects too! My mind is buzzing with all of the projects I want to build now!

A course well structured and easy to follow. It covers many aspects of responsiveness and give the basis to undestand how to test your app on different devices. Overall, I've really enjoyed making the project following Matt's instructions and that helped me improve my coding skills!
This course was fun, and sort of fast paced, but formulated where it is understandable by all learning types. I had a lot of fun with the projects, even though sometimes I felt overwhelmed. Great experience working with other like-minded women! Can't wait for what comes next in my coding journey!
I really enjoyed the setup and organization of this course. The fact that it was at your own pace and the lessons were broken up made it manageable with a full-time job. When something in my code wasn't working, I used the Slack channel and was able to find the same question and a solution! Everything I learned in this course was valuable and it was fun to create my own page as the final project!
I really like learning to code with SheCodes. I've had a lot of fun doing it. Also the project made me visualize my own website which I was excited while working on it. I can't wait till I continue the next workshop.
I have had a lot of fun coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through this introductory workshop of SheCodes. I have learned not only about coding, but I also had the chance to play with visualization for my homework as well as my final project. Matt's instruction is quite easy to understand and follow up. I hope that I will have a lot more fun with my upcoming workshops on SheCodes.
I enjoyed participating in the SheCodes Basics workshop. Before signing up for the SheCodes React workshop package I looked around at a lot of different virtual learning options and was more drawn to the overall look and feel of SheCodes. I like that it seems approachable. That may feel small to someone more experienced, but for me it made all the difference. The lessons are broken down into easily digestible subsections, are very concise, and build upon the prior lesson so one gains a cumulative skillset without even acknowledging it. Additionally, Matt is easy to listen to and unintentionally funny. Having open access to the SheCodes slack channels is also an amazing learning tool. It's easy to get caught up and bogged down in the minutiae of whatever one may be building/debugging. Reading thru the slack and testing other people's code can help one to look at their own project differently with new eyes. I'm honestly really proud of what I made for this final project with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
SheCodes was a great opportunity to get some hands-on experience with projects. It was a well-structured course that was both educational and fun to complete.

If Iβm being honest, you can definitely find similar courses online at a fraction of the cost, you can even find good courses for free. What sets shecodes apart is the added homework projects. They will motivate you to code everyday because there are real deadlines to work to. Also having a community of likeminded women to collaborate with and learn from is encouraging. To conclude this course will get you from knowing nothing to actually coding a working albeit basic website.
SheCodes has taught me how to code quicker than any other course I have ever taken. I was able to build my basics final project in confidence using the tools and resources provided and I have upgraded to the Pro course. I cannot wait!
This was a comprehensive introduction to React. Apprehending the new knowledge was frustrating at some points, but it's worth to go through and see the results. I like that it is project-based and in the end you have your opus to show off.
I loved taking this course. The videos were short but informative and everything was easy to understand. The challenges made sure I understood the concepts in each lesson and I had a lot of fun with the weekly homework and especially the project. I can't believe how much I learned in such a short time. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get an introduction to coding!

I've always been interested in coding but never thought I will be able to do it! All the lessons are really easy to understand and easy to follow :) I'm really happy I signed up for this course because I enjoyed a lot working on every project through the course!
Teacher Matt tried to teach many things but definitely not enough to do the final project. Obviously teacher knows this very well so he technically led the students to build the weather app step by step, for the last 2 weeks. He'll say "Let's do this, and this, then this..." I followed his steps and copied his code line by line and then finally it worked, of course. But to do it again all by myself? Definitely no way. It is like you learnt how to do the math, then even one-dimensional linear equation, but the final test is calculus. Teacher knows you can't do it so he writes the answer on the blackboard, and says "okay this is quite challenging but if you learn React it is much easier." Seriously? To sell senior class to a totally confused student?
SheCodes Basics has been fantastic! I have learnt so much, and have been really inspired with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The course was really engaging and fun, I loved doing the challenges and projects.
SheCodes was a great introduction to coding. It was very beginner-friendly and engaging. The projects were appropriately difficult for each stage of the course, and I'm proud to have been able to complete the final project.

The SheCodes React workshop is extremely well structured and I felt it was a great stepping stone to learning how to build scalable apps. Wow, I can't believe how quickly those 8 weeks went by! After finishing the SheCodes Basics Workshop last December I was really excited to start this new project and learn more about coding and Javascript. Not gonna lie, at times it was quite difficult to understand and I struggled to follow. But this is what I really enjoy about this course and the concept: you can do everything at your own pace - if you don't understand it you can just re-watch all the videos, you can do it step by step and you can ask for help. I am really proud of what I have learned already in this short time and I am so excited to continue this journey :)
SheCodes Responsive was a proper thorough and clear explanation on how to create a website with HTML, CSS, advanced CSS, Bootstrap, and most importantly, responsiveness! I can now take what I've learned here to improve on my past projects by making them look their best on both desktop and mobile. β€οΈ Thank you SheCodes for this incredible journey in learning how to code. This is my last workshop (for now-at least until they release more courses!). From now on I have the confidence to work on my own projects and collab with others, and now that I have my portfolio website all set up, I have something to show to recruiters in the job-hunting process. I really enjoyed learning through SheCodes. I love the way the classes are laid out. It was nice to have short videos, fun projects to do, and after you submit your projects, the solutions are provided. It really helped me learn a lot and I'm really excited to move on to the advanced classes!
As a project manager who works with developers on a daily basis, I signed up to this course hoping to learn some basics of coding to expand my knowledge. I was not disappointed. I was very impressed with the quality and detail of the course, but also the way it was delivered was very clear. It ensured the student wasn't just watching a YouTube video, but actually put into practice the lessons learned. The timing of the work was perfect for me, five hours per week is doable for someone with a full time job (or someone who is a new mother). It allowed me to focus on lessons, complete my assignments and absorb the learning properly.
This is my third workshop with SheCodes, and I'll definitely be coming back to learn React! There's just enough information in these courses to teach you the foundational knowledge you need to become a developer without holding your hand every step of the way. This was definitely a challenging final project, but there's nothing more satisfying than learning from your mistakes!
Creating this portfolio has been really fun. Being able to showcase the work I have done while on this workshop has shown me how far i have come. I can't wait for the upcoming projects.
The workshop is very nicely paced and Matt explains everything very well. The challenges posted are quite helpful since we get to do something on our own to build us some practical experience. I really had fun doing the final project.
I learned a lot from the course. There was a lot of information and this time you could work on your project as you go which helped with the stress at the end. We learned things that went beyond the project and there was much more flexibility with the end result

Leaning to code with SheCodes was just the best experience, I'm so pleased I started my coding journey here. The perfect blend of challenging and fun. SheCodes has been fantastic! The videos explain each part just enough to understand what to do, but doesn't give away every detail so you have to figure out somethings on your own. Matt is a great teacher! The timeline for each week is perfectly spaced out. I was able to spend just over 5 hours each week on my assignments. I ended up spending a lot longer on my final project by choice! I'm so happy to have found this class and I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop!

Thanks to SheCodes, I learned how to make a website responsive for all devices. This course make the whole process of building responsive website seem so intuitive and simple. I loved all the tutorials of this course just like the previous SheCodes courses. I feel more confident as I learned this important skill with SheCodes and I built a very nice portfolio so easily as my final project. so I put all my projects in my portfolio to showcase them all at once.
SheCodes Basics has been such an enjoyable experience. I started with very little knowledge of coding and learned so much along the way. Matt is an excellent instructor and his team are readily available should you have any questions. I can't remember a uni assignment I enjoyed as much as our final project. If you're on the fence, just do it!
I found this course very helpful as a beginner to coding. The workshops were easy to understand and I loved that they included Matt troubleshooting as he went when things didn't work. I am feeling very confident about my new skills and can't wait to implement them in future projects.
I highly recommend this course, it was easy to follow and I did not encounter any difficulties. The content is easy to learn and in little time I was able to build pages which work well in any screen size (this is the meaning of responsive). The idea of building a page showcasing all your previous projects is great and SheCodes gives you many materials and ideas so you are not alone in this. This course is so much fun! I, unfortunately, took long breaks in between but I would recommend doing the assignments/projects as close to each other as possible and avoiding extensions. However, life happens, and just make sure to take good notes so when you go back to it you are not completely lost.
Building the weather app was a challenge, when I first started the course I wasn't sure if I'd be able to complete the app but with Matt's guidance and clear instructions i'm proud to say I completed it! The past few weeks have been challenging, so finally being able to hand in project was so satisfying. Really excited for the next module. ππΎπ©πΎβπ»
It was really fun completing this workshop! I learned a lot and feel like I can now start building my own projects and practice all that I learned. The API integration part is my favorite as well as the styling part when it comes to building the apps. This workshop opened a whole new world to me in that regard. I am super happy with SheCodes!
