With every project I complete, I notice how my skills become better and better. Every week I understand the language of code more and more. The learning curve is noticeable and therefore gives me more motivation to complete future projects!
SheCodes is awesome! You learn so much! Yes, this step has been really hard. Responsive design is not easy but it is doable. It was fun doing my own project and to use everything I have learned the last weeks. As a frontend designer you need to know this stuff so just digg in. π
A month ago I couldn't even imagine that I would be able to create my own project. It is a cool experience and I am looking forward to proceed with it. Thank you!
The SheCodes Basics course is well-paced, creative, and just the right amount of challenging. With clear guidance through every stage, I was encouraged to spot and solve my own coding mistakes and had lots of fun experimenting with my new HTML, CSS, and JS coding skills to create the final project. I've definitely caught the coding bug!
This step was very easy for me. During my studies, I made two full-fledged projects. Two portfolios, including my own. I'm looking forward to the next stage.
I really enjoyed learning about how to make a web-page responsive. This was an excellent tool to learn and become familiar with. This project helped enhance those skills needed in the field.
The Basics Add-on was a really fun addition to everything I learnt in the Basics course. I really enjoyed being able to learn a bit more about HTML, CSS, and JS and put these new skills and everything I'd previously learnt into practice in the project. I really enjoyed this workshop, the final project was very challenging but really fun to do.
I really enjoyed this React course, I found that I was able to really apply all of the knowledge I learned here and in the previous courses. It was challenging learning this new framework but fun to figure out how it works and I loved being able to create two projects in this course!

SheCodes is fantastic. The site structure, lesson planning and the delivery of the basics course is well-considered and enables you to create impressive results. I now have a solid foundation from which I can move forward, Matt explains the concept of coding to enable understanding whilst creating a range of fun, creative tasks for us to complete in the build up to the final project.
Thanks to Max and the team for helping to understand complex things in such a short time, and to make high-quality projects. Still need to polish them for the portfolio but I've already shown some to a hiring/tech manager and got very positive feedback. Keep coding π

This was a very fun project. Williamsburg is one of my favorite Neighborhoods and I really wanted to do it justice by adding more recommendations. I learned a lot about embeds and grids. A big thank you once again to Matt and the SheCodes team for this project!

I really liked all the little learning snippets and challenges. Perfect balance between listening and watching and trying yourself. I really learned a lot and have become more experimental as the course progressed to try new things and make things work. As final project I created a page on "New Work", a topic that I find really interesting and that I try to implement in my direct work environment to transform the company culture.
These five weeks have been super interesting and educational. With the help of video lessons, I worked not only on the project but also on myself. I highly recommend this course.
I liked the 2 previous courses more (mainly because in this course 2 weeks material was life coding containing previously acquired knowledge rather than learing sth new), however the project was challenging and for me it was a lot of fun doing it.
The add-on options are great for deepening concept knowledge and gaining more practice in building projects.
The course goes through the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a very simple and easy-to-follow way, a great option for someone who has no previous knowledge of these tools. However, I would have liked to receive more in-depth feedback related to my final project.

Super fun and challenging! Spent many hours coding and learning how to build responsive sites. All the videos and challenges gave me the tools to create my first fully responsive portfolio. I'm pretty happy with how my final project ended up looking!
I absolutely loved SheCodes Basics! I wanted to try out something new but didn't think I'd become so passionate about this new skill in just a few weeks. When choosing this course, I did not actually believe that I would be able to understand even the basics of coding and the programming languages were at that time beyond my goals. However, you can never know something is not for you until you try it. This is how my story started with this course. In just three weeks I got completely new base of knowledge and I found out that everything is quite logical. I can say that this course is a great start for someone who is not sure if coding is for them. With the small challenges, projects, and, of course, self-learning you can open to yourself a new world. This add-on workshop was very helpful! It explored more complex CSS & HTML that I will definitely be using on projects in the future.
I'd highly recommend SheCodes! I've been interested in learning how to code for the past year and while there are tons of free resources, I couldn't motivate myself to finish and there was no one to look over my work so there wasn't any consequences for being sporadic with my studying. With SheCodes, I have deadlines to follow, structure that keeps me organized, challenges and homework that gets marked and projects that really make you work independently and test the skills you learn. I learned so much from Matt already and am excited to move onto the rest of the course. He teaches thoroughly efficiently and doesn't waste time. Additionally, the Slack community is active so getting help and giving help happens 24/7.

It's been challenging but rewarding. At first, it was very hard to understand all the concepts and I think it'll still take lots of time to get a hang of it, but the feeling that some things are more automatic and I know what to do - it's amazing. I'm having so much fun learning all of these new skills! It's challenging in the best way, and turning in each project feels like such an accomplishment. Going through these workshops, I'm discovering a new passion I never dreamed I would have.
This part of the course was extremely useful, I have learnt tons of things which I believe will use in the future. Moreover, I feel that I have now better understanding on how to structure the layout of the project and make it responsive. Super useful as well as all the previous parts of SheCodes. Expecting to move to the next and final stage.

I came into the workshop with little knowledge and coding. The format was great for quick videos and practice challenges. I really enjoyed the final project!
I've always been more of an outdoorsy nerd than a computer geek, but SheCodes might just convert me! I started the workshop with zero coding knowledge whatsoever and found it very easy to follow along with the lessons. I enjoyed the challenges and projects and loved that Matt pushed us to do some creative problem solving in each of the assignments. Looking forward to using my skills in the real world!

it turned out to be more difficult than I thought, but it was a very useful and interesting experience, now I have learned a lot of useful things and I have another cool project!) I can't wait to start the next course and learn even more and put it into practice
I enjoyed learning about how to make websites more responsive. I also found this section to be a nice refresher of CSS and HTML, diving deeper into those after an intensive Javascript course was helpful for me as it is the foundation for all websites. I did find the work on this particular section to be a bit repetitive, as we coded the same site twice. I chose a different final project to try something new. However, I appreciated that for this final project we were allowed to choose from 3 different designs. I chose one of the designs that we had not previously done. I'm glad that there were options and that I was able to code my project without video tutorials as the tutorials were following a different design.
The course allows you to improve and expand your knowledge. I can't believe how much I learned in just a few weeks, creating a portfolio site was a great final project. I really enjoyed the SheCodes lessons. I highly recommended SheCodes courses.

I keep getting surprised by how much I learn each week through these courses. Each time I'm ready to give up, a new way of coding is introduced and instantly catches my interest again. I never thought I would finish my course in about one month :) I am really happy with Matt's lectures but I wish to have had more projects in this course, nevertheless, it was very challenging, especially with Javascript. Back in SheCodes basic, I wasn't even able to read formulas from Javascript when I search on the internet, it was so confusing and now I can understand them and apply them, without a problem :) I am definitely looking forward to doing the next courses!
I like this workshop! It was very interesting to learn about using API and to practice how to integrate API to our weather project.

I programmed a Weather App to enable users search for their current location, the location they reside, and other locations. I also used a metric unit to enable users toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit degree, dependent on their location. It has been a mind blowing journey and it was really tasking, glad I got the result I needed. SheCodes React was, I think, the most challenging course for me, but yet the most exciting one! I have built two real-life projects step by step with instructor Matt Delac.
