Learning React from Matt has been a lifechanger! My skills have grown by leaps and bounds since starting this program, and I am super grateful.

The Plus workshop was definitely challenging, but Matt's videos made it super easy and clear to follow. The SheCodes team on Slack also helped me out a lot, so I appreciate their hard work. I learned so much and pushed myself more than ever. I never thought I would be able to build anything like my Weather App project, but I love how it came out. SheCodes is a great first step into learning to code. I hadn't coded since learning Scratch in primary school but the way Matt explains his lessons makes the course fun and easy to follow. I wish we covered a bit more but i guess now I'll be moving on to SheCodes Plus!

This workshop took me almost 3 months . I had times that my head was exploding because of lots of new things that Matt had been teaching. Some weeks I extended my deadlines, because I wanted to really learn everything and do my best for homeworks. I really loved the Responsive workshop. I had this weird prejudice (based on what I hear from experienced developers) that making a website responsive is way too tricky as well as boring, but guess what, it is actually pretty cool - because it's so much about digging deep, investigating, and trying this and that. Everything is explained clearly and straight to the point; I very much enjoyed following the suggested advice from Matt, as well as trying other ways I found googling. Turned out making a website responsive is not scary or boring, it's actually challenging and worthwhile!

I am really glad that I decided to take this course. I have been curious about coding for a long time and, as a PM on maternity leave, I was nervous about learning something new at the moment. Matt is a great teacher and the team does a fantastic job supporting you. I learned more than I expected and I was impressed to be able to build my first "landing page" after only 3 weeks. I loved the fact that the course`s structure pushes you to be creative and to try to find solutions yourself from day 1. After this introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript I am definitely motivated to challenge myself in the future with more advanced classes!

This has been my favorite lesson so far! I got to build my own website and did not feel overwhelmed. Matt is there instructing every step of the way.

Hello everyone, I'm just a regular retail associate who just wants to do more. I do have a bachelor's degree in fine arts, but I don't really have anything to show for it, since I don't have a career in that field. So to feel not so "stuck" I decided to learn coding. I took the basic course 1) to see if I could actually do it and 2) to see if I would actually like it. The SheCodes basic course taught me I could do it, and I do actually kind of like it. The courses do have their challenges sometimes but you can easily get the help you need and Matt, the instructor, breaks everything down really nicely. I never thought online- learning could be for me but after taking this course I don't find it that bad. In my opinion, you can't go wrong in taking the basic course, it gives you an idea of what an actual career in tech could be and for little cost.

I have finally completed the Basics SheCodes Workshop and it's safe to say that I love it! My favourite part was learning about CSS because I love making the websites pretty and unique. JavaScript was really difficult for me but Matt explained everything nice and clearly. I can't wait to start my next workshop and develop my skills😊

I have enjoyed every second of learning CSS, HTML, and JS with Matt! Matt tries to teach the most important stuff first and not to overwhelm students with complicated materials. Projects will help you to practice what you learn during videos and remember them.

I went to college for mechanical engineering which was when I fell in love with coding and decided to change to Software Engineering. At the end of the day you do not need to go to college to get a job as a Software Engineer. Bootcamps are just as valid as an education as a degree. I personally went through the bootcamp route because university in the US is expensive and I don’t want to spend 4-5 years learning math and 5-10% of coding. Matt is a great teacher, one of the best I've had in a while. The way he teaches is simple and it's self paced. If one day you want to just take it easy or another day you want to put all your energy towards it. This bootcamp is quite friendly for people that like to be in control of how much their learning but with structure as well to keep you in check.

A friend of mine mentioned SheCodes during a conversation about skills, so I did the free class, which I enjoyed a lot, and signed up for the basics course right away. However, at the same time, I changed jobs. As I was very busy in the transition period, I kept postponing the deadline. I was afraid I would never meet the deadlines while working full time job and other having other hobbies. 2023 came and so a new resolution: stop postponing SheCodesBasics! And I'm so glad I finally did the course! It turns out it was easier and more manageable than I thought!!! The fact that is broken down in small topics with short videos helps you to manage your time (I think it also helped that I got a bit addicted 😛). Thank you Matt and SheCodes Team!

I am very proud to know the Shecodes team and it was a great chance for me to learn about coding. I was very satisfied with Mr. Matt Delac's teaching method, and with the structure of his teaching, there is no reason to fear the difficulty of coding.

I recently finished the React workshop and was impressed with the knowledge and teaching style of the instructor, Matt. One of the highlights of the workshop: building a weather app. On the surface, the app may have looked simple, but it was a great demonstration of the power of React. Despite its basic appearance, there was a lot of work that went into building this app, and I learned so much about the React framework in the process. The workshop was structured in such a way that we gradually built up the app, starting with the basics and adding more and more functionality. This made it easy for me to understand how React works and how to use it effectively.

I've been thoroughly enjoying SheCodes Plus! It was challenging, but I'm so glad I learned Javascript, API, Github, and Netlify, as well as improved my HTML and CSS skills. The information was clearly presented by Matt, making it easy to understand. I had a blast creating a weather app ☺

This course is a very mind-opening one. I never knew I could do anything close to coding. But with SheCodes, I was able to learn step by step. The course becomes easier by the day and now, yes, I finished it and I'm glad I did it. Every of the project is worth it. I love SheCodes, I'm coming back soon to get the other ones done because every step expands my knowledge on Coding. This school as I call it has helped me so well and will recommend it 100%. Coding the React dictionary App was another challenge that made me understand React better. The SheCodes workshop's have come to an end. Looking back, I have learned to code from scratch, thanks to Matt and his SheCodes Team! I keep referring new women to SheCodes. Especially trying to reach my Namibian people to join via the Delac Foundation.

The size of each tutorial is just right. I really enjoyed going through each lesson and seeing how it connected to the last one. Matt's instructions are clear and easy to follow.

This was a great intro to coding and I'm glad I participated! The format was simple to follow and the weekly challenges were well explained and kept me motivated. SheCodes Responsive was the third course that I have taken through SheCodes. While this course was probably the hardest for me, it was the first time I have started to feel really comfortable with code. Learning how to make pages responsive will definitely translate in to a real world skill. Matt takes work that seems scary and unmanageable and breaks it down into digestible chunks, which really helps to boost your self-esteem! I am looking forward to the next React course.
