No one is kidding about React, it IS hard work, BUT...Matt takes the time to show you step by step how to build it and explains why it works the way it does. He even shows you possible incorrect solutions and why they are not the best choice. It will test your patience but it feels so exciting when you figure the puzzle out! My SheCodes journey was very constructive. I started from scratch, and in 9 months I have learned how to code. It is very fulfilling when you see your own work come to life. I was so sure that this course is going to be great that I was preparing to go along with the cost and start studying. And then Matt let me know that I qualify for financial aid and the Delac Foundation helped me be a part of this wonderful begginer course! After three weeks I feel like I've definetely got a good a grasp on many of the elements of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and I am very satisfied with how the course has been going. I am excited for the next ones, and can't wait to be a part of the Tech Community in the future!
Just completed the She Codes Basic-add on course (Intro to Web Development) . The course content was interesting and challenging, but presented in a way that was easy to follow. I like the practical approach to learning coding, which allowed me to apply what I learned immediately. There's a project that we had to create at the end, and Matt, the instructor, was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the project, and I felt that I was able to learn a lot through this experience. I also like the fact that everyone's project is unique and different, despite us all learning the same thing. I can't wait to continue my coding journey with She Codes!

I struggled to understand some of the steps as when Matt was coding, the screen was jumping and I wasn't sure exactly what the changes were. I had to rewind the videos a lot to be on the same page.

At this stage, I had to turn my brain over, since the logic of React is different from javascript. But Matt explained everything in great detail and gradually brought everything up to date. After completing this part of the course, you will have an understanding of the React framework and you will be able to create a beautiful application. I'm very glad to be here.

Like the Basics workshop, the Basics Add-On workshop was fun and so easy to follow along with. React is a bit challenging at a first glance. But when you get deeper it becomes so easy to solve complicated tasks, which would be a liitle puzzled if you solve them with pure JS. I would definitely recommend SheCodes Workshops. Matt as always explains everything in easy way. SheCodes team is always ready to help. And newly created helper Athena AI is awesome. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in starting their Web development journey! Matt explains the topic very clearly and you can always come back to any part of the video if you miss or forget something from previous lessons. It will be a lot of frustration when something doesn't work yout the way you wanted to, but a lot of joy as well once your code works. I'm looking forward to the next courses and even though I know it's not gonna be easy, I know, Matt will be able to explain it in a way that we all understand it. Happy coding!!
My journey with SheCodes has been almost unbelievable. When I first started I had no idea how to read code and now I can actually look at it and understand what I'm doing. I started studying coding with SheCodes 3 weeks ago, and I have been very motivated especially by the curriculum. SheCodes really helped me realize how exciting and fun coding can be! I've just finished SheCodes Basics and have learned so much in a short amount of time. Matt is a great teacher and does a good job at simplifying the more complex topics. I'm in a computer programming certificate program at a local university, but feel that I've learned more in just three weeks participating in SheCodes than I have in most of my university courses so far. With the SheCodes workshops, I truly believe ANYONE can not only learn to code, but can excel in the CS field.
