This project challenged me to apply everything I had learned and pushed me to think creatively. From fetching real-time weather data to dynamically updating the app's interface, every step of the process was a valuable learning experience. By developing a React weather app from scratch, this project allowed me to put my skills to the test and solidify my understanding of key React concepts. By leveraging React's powerful features and libraries, I was able to create a visually appealing and highly functional weather application. I Thank Matt and the SheCodes Team for guiding me through this challenge!

SheCodes Basics was a great way to start learning Web Development! The lessons are thorough, easy to follow up and the homework and project really put together all the information we learned over the last weeks. Two of my favourite things about the last weeks: the way the course is designed still pushes you to research on your own, which I found challenging but rewarding. Also, the fact that the course allows for self management - you can choose the times that better suit you, there are deadlines but all the classes are recorded so people who work or have other responsibilities can manage to learn and build a new career for themselves. This week was amazing too! I really enjoyed learning about CSS background, CSS transform and CSS grids! The HTML class manipulation is the trickiest one amongst all the topics I've studied in the last few days, but once you understand all the steps you have to take, it becomes super fun! Even this time Matt was really good at explaining everything.

SheCodes is a a great way to learn how to code from scratch and you make amazing work in just a short amount of time! Before SheCodes, I didn't know a single thing about coding and was a little intimidated by it, but now I can confidentially build and work on my own projects. It is also helping me with career prospects and really helping me develop my analytical and problem solving skills, as well as a chance to showcase my creativity. I had the most challenging yet fun time learning the basics of Front End with SheCodes. I'm impressed I actually got to finish the project which couldn't be real without the amazing SheCodes team assisting during the whole learning journey. Some of the parts were especially hard to understand, but Matt made sure each lesson has a detailed and step-by-step explanation. I will have a bit of rest and definitely jump to the next advanced chapter!

I am a very creative and curious person but also love things that require problem-solving and cognitive stimulation. When I found Shecodes, I didn't know what to expect. I wanted to try out coding and see what it would be like to create my own landing page from scratch, but I felt like I was diving into the 'deep-end' with no prior knowledge or experience. I thought I would have to be super intelligent and love maths/science to code. I was so wrong! Shecodes showed me how taking the risk was worth it. I fell in love with coding during the 3 weeks of trying it out! Matt and everyone at Shecodes provide a welcoming and supportive space for beginners and people of all skill levels to dive into coding. Matt's engaging and easy-to-follow video lessons, as well as the creative and fun challenges/homework provided, have meant that I have gained so much confidence over the 3-week course in a field that I thought I wouldn't thrive. SheCodes is an amazing platform for all women to become curious and be creative through interactive coding workshops! I am intrigued by technology, coding and digital development but also have a passion for gender equality, and so I love the ethos of Shecodes at what they are doing for women worldwide; from opening up potential career paths to women in a sector where female representation is sparse, to even providing people with a starting point to develop and flourish within a new hobby/ interest. I am now going to continue coding and maybe look into careers in the Tech industry. I'd highly recommend giving coding a shot, especially through a Shecodes workshop!

This workshop was the hardest so far but after multiple attempts & reviews of videos, there was the lightbulb 'ah-ha!' moment when it all just clicked. Matt does a fantastic job of going through a concept, demonstrating and then re-running/explaining what he did. Redoing the weather app with React also allows us to see the different techniques that can be used to achieve similar results. Overall, this workshop is a great, thorough introduction to React!

Learning the basics of coding has been as intense as challenging but at the same time really enjoyable and in a way, easy. The videos are really efficient and Matthieu's explainations cannot be clearer. I could not complete the week 1 homework and challenges in due time but it was easy to request an extension, and the team was very understanding. I found the course very flexible, fun and interesting. I feel like I really understand how HTML, CSS and Javascript work, and feel more confident for the future. I was starting a UX design course at the same time, and was hoping to learn about the basics of coding since employers often like potential UX designers to be able to communicate and understand developers. I feel so much more confident now with the basic but yet thorought and solid knowledge SheCodes gave me!
I absolutely loved building a world clock and with my love for travel and all the places I'v been, it just hit home. I am looking forward to continue my coding journey as I just want to keep learning and trying new things and more knowledge to write cleaner code. I am 25 and a stay at home mom. I came across SheCodes on a social media platform. I really appreciated that they had a free 1 hour class to discuss what they do, how they work, and how easy it can be to learn coding, through them. Being a stay at home mom has its difficulties, and I really appreciated that it wasn't time consuming. It did still take a lot of effort, but I finished the basic course, and really LOVED my entire experience. I have now completed the plus course, I truly feel I have found a love for coding and am excited for the opportunities it can bring me and my family. I can't wait to see what's to come after this.
