Leading up to the start of the project, I experienced a significant amount of apprehension about the possibility of encountering roadblocks and getting bogged down in complex issues. I was genuinely concerned about getting stuck and not being able to move forward. However, contrary to my initial fears, Matt and the rest of the team played a crucial role in simplifying the entire process and making it much more accessible and understandable than I had anticipated. Their support and guidance effectively mitigated the challenges, allowing me to grasp the concepts more readily and progress smoothly through the various stages of development.
Building an AI Travel Itinerary Planner has been a journey worth taking! I loved how I could combine multiple APIs, such as SheCodes AI for intelligent itinerary generation and the weather API for real-time conditions. Seeing the code come to life with colorful headers, weather emojis, and beautifully formatted outputs using the Rich library was so satisfying. Plus, I now have a functional tool I can actually use for planning my next adventure!

What an incredible three weeks of learning coding basics with Matt Delac. It was such a rewarding experience, celebrating those moments when your code finally works and pushing through the challenges of debugging for hours. That is all part of the learning journey. This course sparked a genuine interest in web development for me. What started as a โlet me try thisโ activity turned into something I truly love. I was doing it as a fun activity during my breaks after a long day simply because I enjoyed it. I built a weather app and completed my final project by designing an Airbnb themed website, which made the learning experience even more fulfilling. The course also helped me understand Python better, especially concepts like functions and conditional statements such as if and else. As a business/data analyst, I am excited to integrate these new web development skills into my analytics projects to create more interactive, user-friendly tools. SheCodes Week 1 has been an incredibly insightful experience for me as a beginner with no prior exposure to coding. I love coming back here! I got my first SheCodes course right during covid, and i've been getting additional certs and knowledge since. This time I completed the AI add-on for Python as well. It was awesome, Matt's explanation of how this all works is so good and easy to comprehend.
Once again, Matt has made coding and AI very approachable. His instructions and some real-time googling to troubleshoot a solution are consistently clear and easy to follow. Plus was a definitley difficult but I'd say that's what made graduating from Plus feel so rewarding.
