Throughout this whole project I was so happy and excited to build my responsive project. I am finally connecting the dots with regards to my coding journey and all the websites I've ever visited. I am so happy to have taken this course and to have an instructor like Mr Matt who makes all of this hard easy and doable.
SheCodes Plus is really a game changer, I went from working with basic html, css and JavaScript to api, I have never thought working with API's will be this fun. It took me time to complete the weeks but I am so proud that I did. Matt, you are the best!
Building this AI generator was so fun! I was a bit intimidated at first because it's been a while since I last did a SheCodes workshop, but the steps were easy to follow and I just kept remembering everything Matt taught in previous workshops. This was fun! What puzzles me is just how Matt explains everything so clearly making it easy for one to follow and grasp each concept. There were challenges however, after completing each task you enter a new horizon of coding with even more exciting things to learn. I found Python basics relatively logical after my initial struggle with JavaScript. It's really nice to be able to spot the parallels between the two coding languages. Thanks to the patient breakdown of Pythons key words and functions from Matt, I think I've got a solid basis to build on now. Excited to see what else can be done with Python!

Working with JavaScript and Moment.js has significantly improved my ability to create dynamic, real-time applications. I gained hands-on experience with DOM manipulation, time formatting, and handling time zones across different regions. Using moment-timezone, I learned how to detect the userβs local time zone and update the interface in real time using setInterval. This experience strengthened my understanding of working with external libraries and writing clean, interactive, and responsive JavaScript code.
As someone completely new to coding, joining SheCodes has been an eye-opening and empowering experience. Iβve had the chance to explore HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptβand to actually build something real and personal, like my own photography-themed webpage! From struggling with syntax to styling layouts and writing interactive JavaScript, Iβve learned how much fun (and rewarding) coding can be. Once again, my coding knowledge has expanded β this time into something so real, useful, and present in our daily lives: responsive websites. I really enjoyed the React Add-On workshop. I learnt to build a fully functional dictionary, showing meanings, examples, synonyms and images related to the word. The project involved using APIs and react loops, also splitting application into different components to ensure they are clear, and easy to understand/manoeuvre. It's really amazing to have made it this far in my coding journey, starting from understanding html basics to vanilla javascript, python and react- I thank Matt for his great and detailed tutorship as well as the SheCodes support team for their prompt support/guidance whenever needed.

Taking the SheCodes React course was both a challenging and rewarding experience. Compared to the previous SheCodes workshops, this one definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone. It took me longer to complete because I really needed to take the time to wrap my head around the new concepts I was learning. I often found myself seeking help from other resources to reinforce what I was being taught. That said, Matt did an excellent job guiding me through the course materialβhis teaching style remained clear and supportive, even when the content became more complex. The SheCodes Plus course was a lot more advanced and a lot more exciting! I really felt like I was being challenged to push my understanding of how things work. I went through a few tricky moments with JavaScript functions and organising my code properly to make it all work but the resources, Matt's videos and help from the Slack channel go me through! Very excited to have produced a fully functioning weather app using an API.

I was so nervous and excited to try SheCodes. I wanted to start taking coding lessons to help build a future where I'll be able to work from home one day to stay home and raise my babies. This was a thrilling experience, I enjoyed myself. I joined SheCodes knowing absolutely nothing about coding and now I am glad I joined, Matt is a wonderful facilitator who made the material seem so easy and made learning fun. I love the fact that I was allowed a second chance to do better on my challenges as well as home works.
React was really really challenging!! Despite having a solid foundation in vanilla JavaScript, react had me going through sleepless nights trying to code, fix codes, figure out what I am to do, or what I am doing wrong. Nonetheless, it has been the most rewarding workshop because I learnt a whole lot of new techniques - I was able to create components to structure and streamline codes in order to build powerful apps. I learnt how to build interactions using functions, closure and state-management. At the end of the workshop, I was able to build a sophisticated weather app using react, and then hosting my application online. Once more, I would like to thank Matt and the SheCodes team for the great workshop and timely support rendered throughout the process.

I was a bit scared to start this course because of all the scary stories I heard about people learning Python, but to my surprise, it was easy to follow along and understand. Matt is really good at explaining the code and teaches at a good pace. I can't wait to learn more about Python with SheCodes!
Initially, I was hesitant to start Python because I assumed it to be more difficult than front-end coding language. However, I think this is the most clearly laid out course so far. In particular, the #subtitling of different learning points with the instruction helps to organize the understanding of the code. I also think that key concepts like the api_keys and urls are better broken down than in the JS courses. The simplicity of the code and Matt make it very digestible.
It is amazing to complete another course. Matt has done a great job explaining everything and making the videos easy to understand and follow.

I cant believe I used to think this was out of reach for me, now here I am designing and creating my very own website, I cannot thank Matt enough for the way he explains so slowly and clearer that a 5 years old would probably understand, and thank you for also providing a community on slack, I don't know what I would have done without it.

It was great to refresh my coding skills with this new add-on workshop. I did it in one day, just could not stop coding. Using CSS grid and animations, as well as changing theme with Java Script are great additions to my web developer skill set. Really enjoyed this little project which helped me to finally put together all my favourite coding resources. Matt managed to explain concepts in his usual easy-to-understand manner. I had a lot of fun choosing images, picking colour palette, playing around with different types of animations and filters. Coding is addicting!

Honestly, I can't believe that I have managed to complete the Shecodes basic coding. I am so happy, coming from a fashion and hospitality background, I wanted a change and to get new skills. I have always loved CODING, but was intimidated by it. I am a Christian, so I spent some time asking God what I should do. And whilst I was in that season of prayer, waiting for an answer from the Lord, I came across SheCodes Ad, and I knew this was what I needed. I am 47 and a single mom, and I am so grateful to God that I am learning coding. I love everything, and I honestly want to say a big THANK YOU to Matt, you are such a blessing and an amazing Teacher.
