I was looking for a way to ease into coding while not sacrificing the quality of learning content. SheCodes seemed like a great option and it went beyond my expectations! I loved the bite-size lectures and mini challenges that made things fun and doable. The online support I received from the staff was awesome. I really enjoyed every part of it, especially the final project. Also, I finally know how to use emojis anywhere 😎

This workshop has taught me so much is such an straight forward and fun manner, it never seemed overwhelming. Also I love that I could work at my own pace and I can easily get help when needed. I can't wait to start my next workshop!

I joined SheCodes to make a career change from being a teacher. After searching through many coding programs, SheCodes was the one that offered flexibility and a great learning community. Love the flexibility of this online coding workshop. The way that Matt introduces and explains html, css and javascript were straightforward and easy to understand. The challenges were great hands-on to try out each of the new aspects in coding!

Hello everyone! My name is Jananisri, from Singapore. I am 17 years of age. I chose to learn at SheCodes during my break and I had a great time learning to code, both effectively and while having lots of fun. Coding is an essential skill nowadays and I am elated to have had an opportunity to learn a small part of it. I would say that this course is definitely worth the cost and would love to enrol in other SheCodes workshops.

I have learnt so much in the last 3 weeks and enjoyed every second of it. The workshops are easy to follow and full of detail and I loved the challenges we were given.

Coding first caught my interest a few years ago when I realised it was all about languages. Having studied Philology myself at university I became quite fascinated but at the same time saw it as something completely outside my understanding. I thought one needed to be a Software Engineer to even start to understand coding. Also, with no women references around me it was even more alien to me. Then, whilst scrolling around I stumbled across SheCodes and had a little peak at their website. It suddenly appeared something a bit less alien and so I decided to watch Matt's webinar and here I am... It is so much more creative than I had imagined. So far I am in love with coding and I am eager to continue learning! I can't wait for new challenges. Bring it on!

I love this course! Being a mom with a full time job I love being able to watch the videos and assignments at my own pace but still have a deadline when things need to be accomplished to help keep me on track. This workshop made me eager to learn more.

I have been in a support role in software companies for awhile but I have been so intimidated by learning code! I signed up for a SheCodes course and I absolutely love it! I work full time and I am a mom so time is a scarce commodity but I have found this course so enjoyable it is easy to make time. I can't believe how much I have enjoyed working through the lessons and homework. I would recommend this curriculum to anyone!

Lovely workshop, I am a complete beginner and I definetly learned a lot, I do however feel that a bit more could be added to the final week.

I've been in IT for over 22 years now, on the technical support side. I then moved into software development release cycle and project management. It always interested me, what goes into fixing bugs and how I could make software better or write myself. I found this course through a friends recommendation on the free course. I loved it! I then went on to do the workshop. As soon as my project for the workshop has been given the green light, I will sign up for the SheCodes Plus and the React course. It is such an easy course to follow, the interaction and deadlines really make all the difference. Thank you SheCodes!

I loved the way this workshop was structured, you have access to the resources any time of the day and you can always rewatch a lesson or go back to a previous assignment which is great because this allows you to practice more. As someone with no background in coding, I found the workshop really interesting and it is cool to see how your coding transforms into something visual.

SheCodes has helped me learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I loved being able to go at my own pace, but still have a place to ask questions if I needed help.

I absolutely LOVE this class. Matt is an amazing teacher. The lessons are spaced out evenly enough that I never feel overwhelmed with completing them even while working full-time/going to school. I loved this workshop. It was just the right amount of time commitment so that you could learn and challenge yourself! I have been exploring coding but find most of the resources expensive, timely, or hard to learn. SheCodes really did a good job covering the topics in an easy to understand way as well as providing a support platform for questions.

Loved the final project, really challenged my knowledge of HTML, CSS & JS we had learnt so far, and I'm proud of my little weather app :) Better still I've been able to apply my learnings to personal projects.

I have really loved my SheCodes experience and have found the course extremely useful and a lot of fun! I have really appreciated being able to learn in my own time, at my own pace but with a target deadline at the end of every week. The flexibility has worked perfectly for me since I work full-time and the set deadlines have kept me motivated. The lessons are a good length and explained well. The practical challenges, homework and final assignments which follow these offer enough of a challenge to feel like you are learning something but not too difficult that you feel overwhelmed. The SheCodes platform has been very friendly and approachable to use and I have looked forward to every lesson and every challenge. It's very satisfying when you get it right! Many thanks to Matt whose videos have been very clear and easy to follow. He's a great teacher who explains things well and makes the whole experience fun. I'm looking forward to starting the Plus course now!

I started this course as a complete novice and can't believe how much I have learned in such a short period. The structure of the course and weekly deadlines kept me motivated and accountable to my learning. I have fallen in love with coding and can't wait to continue.

I'm absolutely amazed at this course!! I can't believe that I learned basic coding and I'm really proud of myself for learning a new skill set. It was easy to keep up and understand the lessons. I could always rewind back and review whenever I wanted. I love how Matt provided walkthroughs on the solution. My family and friends are really impressed with what I was able to create in 3wks of doing this course. When I showed my 8yr old what I created he was really blown away. He's taking a coding course as well, and I think this just gave him the motivation, that you're able to accomplish anything if you put in time and dedication to it. I'll definitely look into taking an upgraded course for sure!

After losing my job due to Covid, I decided that I needed a job that could give me stability but keep my interest. After talking with a friend, I realized that Coding was the way to go. I tried to teach myself, but it was a no-go. That was when I stumbled across a YouTube ad about SheCodes. I really liked the message they were trying to spread. So I decided to give them a try. I loved this workshop and can't wait to do the others!

This has been my first actual contact with the coding world. Having a completely opposite professional background, I have always been intrigued by coding. After starting to look for some information, and because of the recent situation we are all living I thought that it was definitely worth to try. And just loved it, the classes are smooth to follow, and I finished this Workshop very enthusiastic and wanting to learn more! Thanks guys

My journey with SheCodes had been amazing! I was hesitant to try coding at first, overwhelmed that it might be impossible, but this workshop proved otherwise. The lessons were easy to follow and everyone in the team had been really supportive and helpful. I wish I could do it all over again and I think I fell in love with coding!

I had such a fun time learning SheCodes Plus! Although a lot of the material was difficult and sometimes frustrating, it was so worth it and satisfying in the end. I loved building my weather app and it was amazing to see my final product actually work. I am so excited to continue learning and to be able to use these skills in the future!

I had never coded before I took this workshop, I wasn't sure what to expect. The tutorial videos are really easy to follow along with and I was able to build my knowledge and see results at the same time. I have really enjoyed the workshop and have loved playing around with web design! Fingers crossed for my future career change 😊And thank you to Matt.

So when I was a kid, I was learning a bit of css. I always liked it, so I always really wanted to learn proper coding! And I'm so happy I found this page! Everything is explained so well, that it feels more like having fun than studying! Everything's so easy to understand! I love SheCodes and definitely will keep learning how to code with them! 💖

I liked Matt's instructions and the challenges associated with each lesson. His tone, the tips, the support from the team are really on point. I like the fact that all the way through we have to come up with solutions on our own. My only constructive comment would be that sometimes the lessons did not necessarily guide us in the right direction, which can lead to wasting time looking for the right thing to do or searching for the necessary information. Overall, I loved the presentation of the content and the energy of the team and I 100% recommend signing up!

I absolutely loved this course. I used to find coding tedious, but now I love it and I was surprised by how easy it was to create content using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. I will definitely be using the skills I have learned in the future!

I've loved the SheCodes workshop! The lessons were neatly broken down with corresponding challenges that gave us space to practice what we just learned. I appreciate how organized everything is, and that we use real developer tools to write our own code. Knowing that fellow students and educators are available via Slack was a great comfort when I found myself facing errors in my code. Much of the time I was able to find a solution via a quick Google search, but a few times I went to Slack and saw that other students were experiencing similar issues. It added a sense of community learning despite being all online. My experience with SheCodes thus far has been very positive and I am excited to start the next set of workshops.

I love SheCodes! The classes are very easy to follow along with and I loved the convenience of the interactive lessons and videos. The one on one help from the instructors made completing everything a breeze, I would definitely recommend to all of my friends!

I've done other workshops before, but what I love about SheCodes is that it's just so easy to understand, and they give you enough tools to build off of. This is by no means the end of my journey, but I definitely feel like I have a strong start!

I'm a graphic designer and had basic knowledge of HTML & CSS. I've been interested in coding for a while. After the free intro class, I knew I had to register! Matt explains everything so well, I learned a lot from this workshop and loved how it was divided into manageable sections. The SheCodes community on Slack was great for support. I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is interested in learning more about coding. Can't wait to learn more in SheCodes Plus & SheCodes React.

SheCodes broke down a huge amount of new information into learnable and workable chunks. Homework helped apply the new concepts immediately. I loved having the videos because I would go back and watch them when working on my final project.

This was a great way to start my journey in front-end development. I've been interested in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but have found it difficult to learn with most online courses. I was pleasantly surprised by the teaching style, which is different from other courses I've tried. Not only was I taught how to write in these languages, but I was actively encouraged to find answers to my own questions and given the tools to do so. I would love to continue into the SheCodes Plus React workshop. My interest and curiosity has been captured! Thank you, SheCodes! 👩‍💻

This is a great workshop. Diving in deeper to all the areas I learned in the previous workshop and learning more. Again I love the step by step videos and challenges after and how we built the weather app slowly over the weeks. 😊

I loved the course, taught me so much in a very brief time.

The whole course of SheCodes Plus is a great starting point for all the coding beginners and maybe also for young specialists. I truly enjoyed it all the way, even though struggled at times. "For" loops, unit conversion, and 3h-forecast were my Everest 🏔. Nevertheless, I've made it to the very top and now getting ready for the new adventures with React 😱🥳 As for the SheCodes further development, I would love to work on more of such training projects, maybe on some different topics, with further functionalities. To my mind, this would help a lot to collect a pretty portfolio of projects for the students, as well as would serve as a powerful exercise to sort of automate all the gained knowledge :)

I Loved this workshop! I was always intimidated by code and coding, and with SheCodes I found out it can be for everyone. I enjoyed the short videos and the homework, and ended up spending a lot more time on the content simply because I enjoyed it!

You know that song "Level up" ? That's just what Matt helps women do through the SheCodes workshops. I'm so glad i took the free coding workshop and that i had the will to embark on this magnificent journey. Now that i finished React Workshop i can honestly say i know more about coding than i ever thought i would. All that, without leaving my home and at my own pace. Loved the lessons and challenges and will definitely enroll in anything new SheCodes will launch.

Honestly, enrolling at SheCodes Plus was the best decision I made in 2020 in terms of learning. I wasn't expecting to fall in love with coding, but after following Matt's lessons closely, I started seeing it with a different perception. Front-end is awesome and so SheCodes! I loved the course! I want to take another! I was very impressed with this course because I don't like to take courses on the internet, and I saw the ad, it caught my attention and I signed up, but I didn't know what to expect. I started the three week course, and I was always very attentive with the videos and exercises and Matt explains them very well step by step so you don't get lost and he can take the course with ease. The platform that handles "slack" helped me a lot when I didn't understand something, I put it there and they solved it for me. The course is highly recommended.

A great journey that I had in SheCodes! I finished my final project in React and I really loved it! I had zero knowledge in coding but thanks to SheCodes, now I have knowledge in coding. Coding is not easy indeed, although with the right classes, exercises and chat support will make it easy and SheCodes has those qualities. I highly recommend SheCodes because Coding is and will be the future in our world.

This course has been a treat. Everything is broken down so that it doesn´t seem scary or intimidating. I loved learning about coding with Matt and although I have decided that I don't want to be a coder it has helped me significantly in my job where we run a CMS. I would recommend this course to everyone because technology is a part of everyone's life and it's so interesting to understand how it all works.

I loved this course! The explanation that Mat gives is so clear and he teaches exactly the kind of stuff I wanted to learn in a basic course. The set up of weekly learnings and homework (with deadlines 😁) worked so well for me, as well as the challenges after each video. This way the learnings could be put into practice immediately!

I loved this course! It is very well designed and the concepts are explained in a way that I understand. The homework and the project are connected to the skills we have learned, which allows for lots of practice.

I started my journey as a refresher to prepare for an interview. I chose this bootcamp because I was very impressed with Matt's mission of helping more women to start careers in tech. Matt and his staff, Joao and Daniela just to name a few, are very dedicated to each student. I'm amazed by how they manage to answer everyone's question in our Slack community. SheCodes helped me to discover where my skills were deficient while also rekindling a love for coding that was different from classroom learning. I recommend this coding bootcamp for beginners because Matt teaches on a level that anyone could understand. But with anything it will take commitment, hard work, asking lots of questions, if you don't understand a concept break down the concept until you understand it, and never by any means quit on yourself for you are worth it.

These were such amazing courses! I loved learning step by step the "how to" in basic HTML, Javascript, and CSS to the intensity that came with the React application. It's been a wild ride, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Matt's way of teaching allows people to actually learn and absorb the information given.

Matt is a great teacher, teaching at the right pace and explaining everything perfectly. I really liked of how the classes and weeks are divided, the pace is perfect for someone who works and is doing this after hours! Really loved it, I feel like I know the basics of these languages pretty well!

The course was amazing for beginners: an intuitive setup with great, short and easy understandable videos to learn all essential basics of coding combined with hands-on tasks and projects and a very logical and useful program structure. I loved that I could do everything at my own pace and was still motivated with the fixed deadlines and could get support whenever needed.

I was a little hesitant at first, but this workshop was so fun! The explanations in the videos were very understandable. I loved how the meticulous aspect of coding sparked a sense of creativity I haven't felt passionate about in such a long time! Definitely going to keep learning. The classes are very well explained, and I love that you can go back to all of the videos in case you missed something, and that you can do it in your own time. Also I find it great that there is a video for the solution as well, so you can compare what you did.

I love the step-by step instructions to start programming as well as the explanations and the encouragement to be independent and find out of the box solutions or try to solve the puzzles by yourself instead of immediately searching for assistance. It is an amazing program full of talented woman from all over the world. I've learn A LOT in just 3 weeks. Totally worth it.

I had a great experience! I love how the classes are run. It worked out perfectly for me because I have a full time job. I was able to work my job during the day and work on coding after work. If you need help with anything, just ask, someone will help you asap.

This is a great course for even the most inexperienced user! I have learned so much at my own pace, but am kept accountable with the deadlines. The lessons are thorough and don't get into the weeds, which makes them easy to follow and practice one skill at a time. I have loved this course!
