I absolutely loved learning how to code in the Basics workshop. I looked forward to my lessons, they were easy to follow and understand and I feel like Matt explains everything really well. I am very keen to do more courses now and am really looking forward to learning more!

This is the right place to start my journey of coding! I love the classes I have lerned. It is very easy to understand. Not too much! Not too less! It is just right. 😍

I loved doing the workshops! I never thought that I could code a Weather App and Dictionary App. It made me realize that anyone is able to code. This is a experience that will hopefully help me a lot in my future.

WOW, this was challenging, but I made it!! 👩‍💻 Matt is a great teacher, yet I often wanted to give up because I couldn't figure it out myself, but thankfully the support team on slack was always there for us. I am very happy with my final project though, I loved the last two weeks building it 😍 thank you, everyone!

Learning React was hard but very fun. I definitely fell in love with it, and shecodes has made my learning so fun. I'm actually able to retain the information and put it to use. This has been a wonderful journey.

Loved the program. The challenges were very helpful to keep me practicing what I was learning. It is great to see how you evolved so much already with the Week 1 homework. You won't even notice you're getting so good! :) I hope I can sign up for the next workshop soon.

What an adventure it has been learning from SheCodes! I could not believe how many skills I learned in a rather short period of time. Each assignment creates a space to practice what we learned in the videos. I loved how I was able to ask questions and connect with classmates in a separate service. It was great to have some extra support or be able to ask a question if I was feeling confused. With having many people, from many countries to talk and learn from, there was always someone or something that helped me understand our lessons deeper. I am grateful that each lesson is a video, which can be rewatched and paused as well as the Caption option since I have impaired hearing. I highly recommend these workshops to anyone who is interested in coding and wants to explore this digital side of creativity.

Absolutely loved SheCodes Basics! Can't wait for the other courses - Matt made learning these concepts very easy and straight forward and shared great sources along the way. Also LOVE the SheCodes Radio! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an intro course that is informative without being overwhelming!

I never thought I'd be able to understand front end code, let alone write it. Yet, here we are three weeks after taking the SheCodes plunge and I've just submitted my first project! The best thing about it? I looked forward to working on the project and the mini challenges every day. Matt teaches at the perfect pace and I love that you can recap on lessons if you want a refresh. 😊 I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus now and build on the knowledge - very excited to see where this goes! 🙌

I really enjoyed building the projects. I have to admit that this workshop was pretty advanced for me but I loved to see how I was improving to find my mistakes. Thank you for all your help!

What I loved the most about this workshop is that I could be creative using coding (something I could have never imagined). I had so much fun and I definitley want to continue learning 👩‍💻.

I'm absolutely in love with this course. I didn't finish my project on time though but it keeps you motivated to continue, to find a spare moment and archive the goal, even step by step. Loved this course. It was certainly challenging (more so than the previous workshops) I so appreciated Matt's humbleness though and how he's still perfecting the skill of making webpages responsive. He's an incredible instructor, and the help received on Slack was priceless. I gained a lot of confidence in my coding skills during the workshop and look forward to coding more, in SheCodes continues to impress me as an organization. I love everything they are about, especially their focus to offer training for free in developing countries. So cool! Can't wait for React!

I have loved this workshop. I had never done any programming before and found it really easy to follow. Matt makes everything seem really easy and the workshop is very well organized, making it really easy to follow. What's more, you get help through the slack chat almost immediately if you have any doubt.

At first, I wasn’t sure that an online course would be good idea to learn coding, I thought coding would be strongly hard but Matt explain all steps in the easiest way, I'm so happy that I decided to participate in this course and recommend to all who loves learning coding:)

Great 3 week short course, I've learn't so much, and I'm very happy with what I have achieved. Matt is great explaining and I love that I can replay the videos and do the tasks at my own pace. Also, I enjoyed the actual explaining tips on how to view and understand how its build in order to fix bugs. Now it's time to keep on practising :) Thank you!

I LOVED this workshop, I learned so much in a short space of time and did so to prepare myself for my masters degree. As a complete beginner I was daunted by the computers aspect of my degree but now feel super confident going into it as I learned how fun and interesting it can be!

Loved SheCodes Plus. A big leap from SheCodes Basic but guided through brilliantly by Matt. Looking forward to SheCodes Responsive.

I'm only at the beginning, but I already feel so blessed and honored to be a student here. I honestly wasn't expecting to be this satisfied before starting the course but quickly fell in love with the perfection of everything! I'm very excited to continue my journey here and I'm sure it's gonna be way more enjoyable and sweet.

I was really nervous at the beginning because I've never coded and honestly it has always sounded like something intimidating. After finishing my first couple of lessons I realized that coding is basically like math: you have a set of formulas that you need to get X result. SheCodes made coding very captivating and not intimidating at all, so these last three weeks have been very eye-opening and now I would love to continue to build upon the knowledge I gained. Also I 100% will encourage other women I know on how coding is more accessible than how it's advertised.

Starting this workshop I was not completely new to coding, but after participating in this lovely course, I have now gained enough knowledge to build a basic web page, using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This course has definitely helped me widen my horizons and discover that working is the tech industry is something I am looking forward to.

Enjoyed the SheCodes Basic Workshop so much. Learning was extremely structured with gradual building blocks which I love. I was really impressed by this course. I've always been a bit intimidated by coding, but SheCodes is awesome! Rather than just giving you a bunch of video lessons where you're trying to absorb a ton of new information with out really putting any of it to use, SheCodes provides a challenge with each lesson. I loved the accountability these challenges provided, plus putting my knowledge to the test helped to make sure I was really absorbing all the information.

When I signed up to SheCodes I had no idea what to expect. Good news - I LOVE IT! The course structure is very easy to follow and although there were some challenges I was able to use the tools provided to work through them. I was worried I would get bored or frustrated but the process is extremely satisfying (and addictive). I can't wait to start the next course!

I really enjoyed this course. I have been thinking about transitioning my career to something in tech and this course was really impactful. I loved being able to create my own webpage and learn the basics of Webdesign. From here I will continue to learn and have a really positive outlook on my future career change.

Wow! I absolutely loved this course. I have a background in Fashion Design, but I am looking to transition into UX/UI. I wanted to take this course because I do not have a background in coding. I will admit that I was scared before starting this course but I quickly felt empowered rather than scared! I really enjoyed this course! I love how each unit builds on the previous one nicely. There are videos and challenges that help you understand what you are doing. I am starting to understand that coding can be extremely creative. It feels like the more tools you learn, the more you can combine them and create. If you love learning, I highly recommend this course!

Love this course. It can be really frustrating to deal with JS sometimes 🙈, but it's always worth the effort and I really learned a lot by doing the little challenges. Looking forward to the next Workshop!

I have been looking for a career change for quite some time. And I love a good challenge! But after researching several other coding boot camps, all with a hefty price-tag, I was beginning to think coding wasn't my journey. Until I found SheCodes! Their Basic Coding course was well in my price range and just enough to get "my feet wet". I knew from the first lesson on Week 1, coding was for me, and I plan on signing up for their other courses.

This has been such an easy to follow program! I love that everything is recorded. This allows for a rewind option as much as I need, which is often. The slack communication is perfect for problem solving on my own time.

I love the classes! They are cut into small segments to make it easier to complete with a busy schedule. The challenges, homework, and the final project help you put everything you learned together. Also, you can see how much you learned in three weeks. Looking forward to the next level of training.

I can't believe I had zero knowledge of html, css and java 3 weeks ago. Now I've created a page from scratch and I can't wait to keep learning. I love Matt's way of explaining complex ideas. I also love the fact that we start working on VS Code right away. I absolutely recommend this workshop.

In my case, joining SheCodes was a totally spontaneous decision :) I had no experience in coding and I loved the lessons. Everything is explained step by step and you can get help any second. What is more, I found the option to extend homework deadlines very helpful. This course was a great introduction to learning the basics of coding - I'm looking forward to learn more in the future.

I've had such a fun few weeks! Before I started SheCodes, I felt overwhelmed by the number of free classes available online and I didn't know where to start, what language to learn, how to structure my learning etc. SheCodes has made everything very straight forward and I am really enjoying the process. I particularly loved playing with color palettes on CSS and making my HTML update in response to user interaction using .innerHTML on JavaScript. I can't wait for SheCodes Plus!

I just want to say a huge thankyou to Matt Delac for opening my eyes to the world of code 👀 I stumbled upon the SheCodes Express video by accident (never thought I would be grateful for Ads!) and completely fell in love with coding on the spot. For the last three years, I have taught second grade in an elementary school setting. During the pandemic, I found a passion for technology and teaching online (unpopular opinion!). I have always loved designing and creating my own resources but had little knowledge on the subject. I realized a couple months ago that I would love to get into the tech world but didn't know where to start. When I attended the free workshop I was blown away by Matt's ability to effectively communicate how to code. I knew I could pick up on it quickly so I joined the course. The last 3 weeks have been so much fun! The course is clear and concise. Matt does a phenomenal job breaking down HTML, CSS and JavaScript into digestible lessons. The challenges really push you and give you a productive struggle. I highly recommend this course!

I enjoyed making my own portfolio. I definitely need more practice but this was a good start. Loved the challenge of making things responsive in smaller screens.

The final project really pushed my limits and I found myself having some much fun exploring new ways to code. I especially loved the bonus challenges as it really made me think for a creative way to code my project. There's not one way to do a certain thing and that's really awesome! I really appreciate the videos from the instructor as well, it helped in case I missed something or there was a more constrcutive way to code my idea.

As a creative starting out in their coding journey, I am so glad I made the decision to continue with the SheCodes Plus workshop! I loved the freedom of learning at my own pace and setting a foundation for my skills in front-end development. Can't wait to see where this will take me!

SheCodes is a simple and accessible introduction to coding! I don't think I really want a career in coding but I love learning new skills and understanding how things work. I'm sure knowing the basics of coding will come in handy in lots of ways I don't even know yet but more than anything I have found it really fun and satisfying!
