Totally loved this course! I used to build websites from scratch when I was around 12-years old yet over 10+ years, I just somehow didn't continue with this hobby anymore. With this 3-week course, I wanted to find out if this love for coding was still there and it definitely is! The way Matt teaches is so engaging and motivating, plus the Slack channel with fellow students ensures you can keep each other accountable in completing the projects. My next step? Signing up for the more advanced course for sure. Thank you SheCodes for restarting this fire in my belly :)
I absolutely loved this course - I knew some basic HTML but learning CSS was really exciting. It was tricky at times (particularly some of the JavaScript bits in week 2!) but it was super practical and really enjoyable. I can't believe how much I've learnt in 3 weeks.
Another amazing workshop by SheCodes! This experience has been so wonderful. I love how each lesson is broken out by topic with hands-on challenges. I'm so thankful for my time a SheCodes. Excited to see what the future brings.

I work fulltime, and have a very active life besides work - the workload per week fits me just right, I could literally keep on forever with these lessons. If you're as much of a perfectionist as I am, you'll even have enough time to really dig into it and make your project your own - I love it! Looking forward to improve my coding skills even more, with additional SheCodes workshops. (@Matt You have to keep releasing new workshops so I can just keep going forever. π)
I was so nervous at the beginning, but the SheCodes workshops have been broken down to be super easy to follow. Not only that, the videos, resources, and global community are always there to help along the way. I love that Matt encourages you to do your own research too! I'd recommend SheCodes to anyone who might be curious about coding!

I've been wanting to learn how to code for a very long time but it's hard to know where to start. I loved SheCodes and can't wait to keep going. I love the format of the workshop, especially the fact that there are homeworks and deadlines. I am super excited to go through the end!
At first I was wary of doing coding. I've always wanted to do it but didn't know if I would enjoy it. When I took Matts free hour class I decided to jump fully in and I have loved every minute of it. His course is just the right amount of teaching but also a challenge to where you need to figure it out on your own. I liked that the groups on slack where available 24/7 where you can ask questions or see other student questions that could help you get through the course. I really enjoyed this class and cant wait to begin shecodes plus!
I completely recommend this course to any one considering coding. I learned how to code at Uni and LOVED it so was eager to get back into it again. This course provides you with all the tools to digest the learning with support, solutions and a community to talk to other people on the course. It was such an enjoyable experience. I'll definitely sign up for further workshops.
I have been wanting to learn to code for while but was always nervous that I wouldn't be able to do it!! Matt and SheCodes proved me wrong :) I really enjoyed all of the lessons and challenges and couldn't believe how much I was able to learn in just a single week! Matt was a great instructor and made everything so easy to understand. I also really loved the SheCodes community, it made me feel connected to a group even though all of the sessions were virtual. This course in, without exaggerating, the best course I have ever taken. For MANY reasons. I have no background in the Tech. I never had ANY interest in it either, until a couple of weeks ago. I love how flexible, pedagogic and mind-blowing this course is. For me, someone with zero experience, it was a bit TERRIFYING to start coding, but this course is almost impossible not to pass. The instructions are smooth to follow. Lessons are short, informative, and bring lots of value. Challenges are in line with lessons. This entire course is divided into shorter sessions, making it so smooth to learn. I cannot believe how much I have learned in under three weeks - it is INSANE! If someone would have told me few months ago that I would be able to create a webpage using HTML, CSS and JavaScript all on MY OWN, I would never believe them. And this was just a Introduction Workshop! I am looking forward to starting the next workshop! If you are hesitating, if you have second thoughts, DO NOT. This will be the best investment you will ever make. Matt is an incredible teacher and this course could change your life! I have never been this proud and HAPPY with MYSELF and my achievements. I had a lot of fun learning and being able to see my creations turning into reality. I would definitely reccomend this course to anyone who asks and would love to carry on doing the more advanced workshops.
I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it feels to have learned so much in just a three-week workshop. I started out more or less knowing only that HTML, CSS and JavaScript were things that exist in the world and now, I'm building full pages using all three. I am so happy I gave SheCodes a try, I had no idea just how much I would love coding and plan to continue my journey in hopes of opening new doors with an eventual career change, all thanks to the Matt and the SheCodes crew.

I really loved everything about it! It's so good to finally understand coding! The classes are very easy to understand, and the best part is that we have an exercise each class, which provides us more practice and experience. You can get an extension for those who are worried about time, so the course doesn't become a burden on your schedule. Can't wait to start Plus!

If someone had told me a few years ago that I will be doing 4 frontend development online courses in a year with a World pandemic, I just wouldn't believe it. But the truth is: here am I, just finishing the last one. From having no coding experience a couple of months ago to now having completed this React workshop, I have more knowledge and experience in coding than I could have ever imagined having in this short amount of time. SheCodes is just amazing, Matt classes are incredible and so are the SheCodes team that never let us stay with any doubts. I just felt in love with frontend development! I loved SheCodes-Basic! Before I started, I didn't know anything about coding whatsoever and I was always a little intimidated by it. I liked Matt's way of teaching straight away (not easily done because I am a teacher myself π©βπ«) and it is still truely amazing to me, how much I learnt in that short span of time. It gave me a lot of insights into the world of coding - so much in fact that I decided to continue with SheCodesPro to change careers, as I recently became unemployed. Years ago I tried to learn CSS and HTML by myself. Well, after a lot of sweat I did it. But when I approached Javascript I felt overwhelmed and without support. Some weeks ago my boss asked me to work on our company's website and I was like: "Oh, well..." And I bumped into SheCodes. I thought: "It's now or never." And I bought the whole package, thanks to my discount as university student (I am doing a second BA). The biggest part of this course is the community. I love to ask, to receive answers after some minutes and to be able to help others. Through this course I was able to develop also my company's website. And this is JUST the beginning :)

The first week was the hardest yet most interesting! I think I had the most trouble with the button and giving it actions. I did however love playing with designs and gradients made it really fun!
SheCodes is an easy way to learn to code. Matt explains it well. And when I didn't completely understand the explanation in the video's, luckily a search on the internet made it clear. I really loved doing the final project; it all came together and I could spend hours without watching an instruction or making homework. The final project is a great one to check if you understood it all <3

I wasn't new to coding but learning it always felt so overwhelming... That's before I joined SheCodes. The classes are very thorough and Matt explains everything step-by-step. So there's no pressure, but at the same time you learn lots! Also it has a very organised process, which makes it even more helpful. I loved this workshop, and highly recommend it to anybody thats even slightly interested in learning to code!

I have made my career in technical support for seven and a half years, but I recently had the opportunity to work in software quality assurance for a few months. It's a career path I'd love to explore more, so I took SheCodes Basics to expand my skillset. I will likely continue with SheCodes Plus later this year.
I was always afraid to say "I want to code" because you have the idea that it's incredibly difficult, but SheCodes is an incredible platform, I love the ease with which you understand things and Matt's way of explaining. The SheCodes Basics course is an excellent way to enter the world of code and really achieve something that you like and can serve for you as a professional and for others to know your potential. I'm so happy and exited to start the next course.

SheCodes has been a great way to initiate my understanding of code. I love using real tools to generate projects and feel confident in what I've learned so far.
SheCodes has shown me that coding is actually much more fun than one could expect it to be. Matt gave me a very clear step by step guide on how to realize my own creative ideas and literally fall in love with the process of coding itself!
I started this workshop knowing nothing about coding, but I now feel confident in my coding skills! I loved the self-paced as it fits right in with my busy schedule. I have a hard time focusing on videos, but these interactives, straight-to-the-point made it easier for me to focus and learn.
Coding was a skill that I knew would be useful for work. It was only after delving into the SheCodes activities did I realize that coding to be interesting and fun! My mathematical/puzzle/problem solving brain loved wrapping my head around the languages and troubleshooting any potential mistakes. SheCodes definitely piqued my interest in the coding world and I may have to dive in again soon!
I was always interested in coding but I was intimidated by it especially since it is a male-dominated field. After completing my SheCodes workshop I feel so empowered and I discovered that coding can actually be really fun once you get the hang of it. I love the community that SheCodes has created and I would highly recommend the course to all female-identifying people (even if you have no prior coding knowledge like me going into the course).

I have always enjoyed working on computers and I have seen advertisements for coding workshops but I never thought it was for me. Then I found SheCodes and fell in love! I started this workshop with high hopes and I was definitely not disappointed with SheCodes.I loved how Matt explained everything step by step and besides, it's not all practice but also tips that can help you to program better, I would definitely think about getting the next level of workshop.
Matt has an incredibly skilled way of breaking things down into bite sized pieces and making coding easy. I love that he doesn't just focus on teaching the coding concepts, but also on how to be resourceful if you do run into trouble (ie. even the most experienced coders Google things! You do not need to memorize every language). He doesn't edit his typos out of the videos-- which is also comforting, because it demonstrates that no matter how good the coder is, mistakes happen and that's ok. I signed up for the full package, and I'm very much looking forward to continuing on! :)

I just fell in love. I've been so curious as to what goes on on the backstage of the internet and with SheCodes Basics I got a glimpse of how it all is glued together. It is just fascinating, exciting and fun! I am definitely going to continue with this, and if I find a legitimate excuse to spend more money on the courses (my job is nowhere near related to coding) I think I'll end up taking all of them! I am also really impressed by smooth way these guys ease us newbies into complex coding languages that can easily overwhelm any rookie if not for Matt's calm and easy teaching methods with a good dose of don't-panick-vibe. π Well done SheCodes!
Love it! I wanted to learn more about coding to be able to speak the "developer's language" better when working with them. Even though I already had a solid foundation in HTML and CSS, it was great to have a quick refresher (and to learn some new stuff!), and to learn the basics of JavaScript as well.
I first learned about SheCodes through an online ad and joined the free coding class and was highly interested. So I decided to enroll in the SheCodes Basics course. I had zero experience with coding and the programming languages and thought that coding would be inaccessible. But I learned the basics in a fun and didactic way. I especially loved the way how each lesson was divided into a basic information video and the challenge where I had to apply the basics directly. That helped me to understand each new concept before moving on to the next. I can't wait to study more with SheCodes!
It's official - I've completed every SheCodes course offered! I have loved each program from the first day to the last. I've got my resume updated with my new certifications, a new portfolio website ready to show off to future employees, and EXCITEMENT about my new career path. Thank you, SheCodes. I absolutely loved doing SheCodes Plus. It's definitely challenging, but I have been enjoying it and love the feeling of accomplishment when I fix something or figure it out on my own. Iβm happy to share that I have finished my Weather App project for SheCodes Plus. Or it would be more appropriate to say βdecided to stop with it for the momentβ xD Since the way Iβve been seeing it - itβs pretty more than I was expected to submit as homework. I tried my best to make it already responsive, though this topic will follow in next course only. And itβs firm 80% of what I wanted it to be, inclusive of: - themes and layers are changing based on weather conditions - clouds animation depends on wind speed - fonts react to day / night - the cities options are populated from Google API - basic settings of theme and units are available, along with GPS position saved due to localStorage - there are some pretty Bootstrap elements - Iβve picked up some funny pixel-style visuals for loaders and found exactly the same old-school games font I was looking for - and againβ¦ itβs already pretty responsive to different viewports. That was a challenge, especially the responsive part. And another opportunity to double confirm that knowing your target itβs already half way. Googling a right question itβs already half an answer. I havenβt figured out yet why there are issues with GPS on iPhones and some Bootstrap elements on certain iphones only, so letβs head to SheCodes Responsive and check whether there are the answers I need. (My precious) That little Ghibli tribute was done from the bottom of my heart. Thanks a lot to Matthieu Delac Aussaguel and SheCodes Team for providing the coding skeleton knowledge (and setting courses with deadlines). And big thanks to my main testers. My husband, in whose eyes I saw proud instead of irritation for me staring into monitor for hours. And my beloved friend and former colleague from Moscow - country is definitely not the limit.

I loved the flexibility of this course. Being able to set my own schedule and work at my own pace was one of the reasons I wanted to get into coding in the first place. Mixing art & technical skills was another. So far, I'm absolutely loving what this new career path is giving me--freedom to work wherever, whenever I want, and purpose/drive that is extremely fulfilling for my brain. I have always been curious on how the language of coding works and always felt as if there just isn't "enough time" to deep dive into it but I'm very grateful and proud that I finally chose to make this investment in myself and as many have stated... this is addicting ππ»ββοΈ! To be honest this workshop didn't go well with my personal life. The old version of me would run away and cry but not me now! I loved every step of creating this app. I'm a creative person but I was forgetting about this trait of mine lately. But making this app, realizing how many ideas I have! I wanted to implement them all! It's so amazing knowing there are endless possibilities of how to style the page or create interesting functions. I can't wait to start the third one of my workshops! I loved developing and working on different challenges over the three weeks. The challenges raised the bar of difficulty slowly, and it did not seem overwhelming at all. I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes workshop! The videos were very easy to follow and the mini-challenges helped to solidify my learning. I also loved the support system on Slack as it made me feel more confident when dealing with particularly challenging aspects of the tasks.
After completing SheCodes Basic course I wanted to keep learning and I loved it! SheCodes Basic gets deeper and more challenging, which is great. There is always something you can improve in your code as you're learning and learning more. What I also liked about SheCodes is that you have great resources and the Slack community. I think that there is always a time where you can feel stuck but with Slack, it makes it easier :)
