SheCodes Coding Workshop Reviews

I was worried that it would be difficult for a beginner, but the coach clearly tell the material. I love that there are both theory and practice. Sometimes it was difficult, and sometimes it was very easy. The first lessons show almost all the solution of tasks, but then with each new lesson the student needs to solve the problem, or look for the right code on the Internet. I like it when the algorithm works. Especially when I was able to find another solution that is different from the one proposed. Anyway, you, guys, got me interested. I’ll keep going! 😎

I cannot recommend SheCodes workshops enough. This is my second one and I'm already deciding which one I'll complete next. I love the challenge and sense of community with the slack channels available.

I knew absolutely nothing about coding before, but after the SheCodes basics course I feel like I understand the fundamentals. Lovely user-interface, good pace and well-explained and step-by-step instructions so that anyone can learn. Would recommend!

I always loved coding. I tried some online courses but they all had a big problem. They were not PRACTICAL! When I got the chance to be a part of shecodes trainers I told myself that I'm gonna use this opportunity as best as I can. And for that decision I am sooo grateful. SheCodes workshops are extremely practical and well thought-through. I can't thank matt enough. He is such an amazing teacher and teaches you everything from scratch. I recommend these sooooo much. Don't hesitate!

SheCodes Basic was such a fantastic course and a really affordable way to find out if coding is right for you. I never thought it would be right for me, but after taking the free 1 hour workshop Matt offers, I understood the basics of coding, for the first time ever! He is such a great teacher and really makes difficult concepts seem so easy and he gives lots of amazing tips. I also love the mix of bite-size lessons and hands-on activities which really helped consolidate my understanding. Would 100% recommend it!!

I started this journey wanting to learn something new, but not really knowing what to expect. This is only the beginning, but I am proud of what I have accomplished and learned in such little time. SheCodes has an amazing community of empowered women and I am so grateful to Matt Delac and his team for creating such an amazing platform for us. I absolutely loved my experience, and I'm ready for the rest of my journey with SheCodes!

It is easy to love SheCodes. You get to submerse yourself into the world of coding at your own pace, yet the deadlines help you stay on track. I got very sick during my Basics course (many hospital visits), but yet I persevered and met my goal to finish the course!

I am currently a college student who is a Marketing major. I am someone who loves tech and fashion and want to find a way to combine the two. I have always been someone who liked the creative fields and also am someone who loves a challenge and I feel coding provides that. I am excited to pursue this.

Just completed my SheCodes Responsive. It was indeed very challenging and I love how it made me to find the solutions and get the codes work. With the daily challenges, weekly homework, and projects I practiced more on what I have learned and strive myself to provide a creative and responsive project. Thank you to Prof Matt and the SheCodes team for wonderful learning journey and support.

Loves the content and pacing of the classes! Matt did a great job on explaining how things work and provided a bunch of tips and tricks that helps me out a lot while working on the project. I enjoy the journey and find coding to be much more fun now, looking forward to the next few workshops to come.

At first I thought coding was too difficult and time-consuming to learn but with SheCodes, I quickly learnt the foundations of HTML, CSS and JavaScript! I'm so glad I joined this course and I loved how understandable and flexible it was. Thank you SheCodes for boosting my confidence in coding!

Loved the journey, bit hard at times but Matt did a great job explaining and the challenges+homework has helped to solidify your learning. I knew about SheCodes for years, for some unknown reason i thought it was only for a certain age. When i looked a lot more into it after wanting to do this for a long time, i learned that it was for every age range. I immediately took the introduction course, immediately signed up for the course. I'm so glad i did! Very easy to follow and i love how i can always go back and review a video if i got confused at any point. I can't wait to continue to learn and code!

I loved my learning experience with SheCodes! Matt is a great instructor, you can tell he has led the course already by the way he explains areas where students typically have questions or get hung up, which I really appreciated. He was able to anticipate confusion which shows that Matt and the team are in touch with students and where common struggles are happening. The Slack channel came in handy when I needed to see other people's work to compare to my own when I was getting stuck. I love how organized the content was and how thorough each lesson was given. I hope SheCodes continues to create new courses and offer additional learning opportunities as the industry evolves!

After completing the 3 week workshop, I realized that I wanted to continue. I love how SheCodes breaks it down in small steps and allows you to actually create your own projects.

I had no coding experience before taking shecodes basics and I love it. The instructor, Matt was clear in explaining the lessons. There is a supportive community that answers every question you have. Totally recommend it.

This is the second time I've tried coding! This time round it's all made much more sense and I've had much more success as a result. I've really enjoyed learning and expanding my knowledge and found the tutorials really clear and easy to understand! Loved having weekly homework to keep me motivated throughout the whole course.

I loved everything about SheCodes! From the format of the courses to the fun projects and challenges. I would highly recommend this to coding beginners and anyone who would like to understand what websites and apps are made of and brush up or advance basic coding skills. I will definitely be looking into the advanced options. :)

Really great, I loved the creativity of the course! Makes coding fun! They guide you through each step of learning to code HTML, CSS and Javascript. It's great because you get to appreciate all the websites you use everyday!

I love SheCodes. It's so easy to follow the tutorials by Matt, and there is always a review element in each section which is great. Prior to Shecodes workshop, i have no idea on coding or how to go about it, coding was strange and seem impossible for me although i have always loved it when i see people do it, but today i can proudly say that Shecodes Workshop has thought me coding, with HTML, CSS and Javascript. Hello! I'm Ukranian and I really appreciate that opportunity to study coding! The first lesson aroused the interest, and later, those lectures absorbed me, I was eager to watch them and do practise all the time! I haven't had any code knowladge before that course, and now I love coding a lot, and can code in HTML, and make gorgeous CSS design!! Thank you, I want to learn more

I really enjoyed this Workshop and can recommend it to anyone interested in this area. It is so well structured and explained! Sometimes it got a bit hard like any new subject can be, but help was always accessible and at the end I really felt good about my project. I especially like that some elements are being repeated in different ways which is so important and helps so much with getting used to the structure and functions of the code. Matt has such an awesome way of explaining and most importantly he implements a very nice work and making-mistake ethic! Loved it.

Love how Mat was able to make Reactive so intuitive and user-friendly. Also they way he guides you so candidly through the process of the portfolio project was paramount to capturing the objective of this workshop.

I remember doing a coding class in college, but the instructor was not patient with beginners and I honestly didn't take anything away from the class. However, SheCodes made learning very easy to remember. I loved the layout of this bootcamp; going through lessons, then challenges, lastly the solution. It made me rely on my problem solving skills a lot more. I only used Slack one time; everything else I found via Google. It really is a coders best friend!

I really love the program, because I was able to learn new things and it inspired me to work on more beautiful projects. What I love most is their feedback and how accessible the team is.

I was a former college woman's basketball player and towards the end of my senior year, I was blessed enough to stumble upon the free class that SheCodes was offering. I've always loved puzzles, solving problems, and creativity so once I took the class, discovered how interested I was in coding and creating different bodies of work. I was a student so I was able to receive a discount that really helped me be able to take the class. Five months later, I am now graduated and finished with my 3rd workshop! I've also discovered a new hobby and a bright future in tech! Thank you SheCodes for allowing me to be a part of a bright, growing, and supportive community!

I really loved this workshop. This workshops I would say has been my favorite workshop so far because I was able to build websites and applications that are responsive and this was actually a big deal to me so it’s a great great advantage. I really loved how this class is presented and structured. The challenges after each section really helped me retain and understand everything really well and it was really nice to have Slack available for any questions. I watched all the videos of the class and passed 3 weeks as well, I did all the challenges and projects of the end of per section. I love coding😍 so thank you SheCodes, also I suggested this workshop to my sister and her friend, because this workshop is very useful and conveyed information easily. I learned html, CSS and JavaScript in just 3 weeks.

I loved it, I had zero knowledge in coding before this course, it was very entertaining and well-paced

I loved every minute of this workshop! By far the best online classes I have followed so far. It is very fun to see a direct result of your new skills learned with each chapter. Very easy to follow and with a good balance of explanations and exercise, with the exercises having the exact right difficulty. When struggling, the community of fellow students in the digital tools makes it feel like you are not alone and you can get help whenever you get stuck. Looking forward to follow up with the more advanced workshop and improve these newly learned skills!

This was one of my favorite courses so far! I loved to be able to create and design my own portfolio to showcase the work I've done so far. I enjoyed playing around with the endless possibilities of Bootstrap and CSS to make my portfolio as responsive as possible. And as always, Matt was very clear and helpful in the videos.
