Hi everyone! I have finished the Basics course offered by SheCodes and it`s been a blast! I went from not knowing anything about coding and thinking it`s extremely difficult to get into it or learn it or that you need to be some sort of math prodigy, to having a complete new perspective. It turns out coding is really fun, extremely logical (so anyone can come to understand it!) and super interesting. And all that is thanks to SheCodes. The lessons are structured really well, organised in small lessons so you can learn everything step by step and it doesn`t feel overwhelming, and I love the fact that every lesson is followed by a mini-challenge in which usually you have an extra step derived from the lesson where you try to figure out the solution yourself. So you have all the support you need but you are also incouraged to go beyond what you learned and apply yourself. And of course there is help provided should you not be able to do it by yourself. It`s a really cool course! I`m glad I tried it and I would recommend it for sure!

Working on building the world clock alongside the instructor has been an absolute pleasure. I love how every line of code was explained in detail, making complex concepts accessible. This workshop has not only deepened my understanding of APIs and libraries but also boosted my confidence in my coding abilities. I am thrilled with the improvements I've made and am excited to continue my journey with SheCodes. Thank you for giving me the tools and knowledge to enhance my skills!

First of all, love the UI/UX of the SheCodes website! The anticipation of making such lovely websites itself made me excited to learn webdev. The pace was amazing. The challenges were very helpful and ensured we get a practical exercise to review our concepts.

The course was absolutely lovely, with simple, straight-to-the-point instructions. Matt made the process of understanding even easier. The assignments at the end of each video helped me practice and brush up on whatever I had learned; they were of great help.😊

This project was such a blast to work on for my portfolio! I learned so much, including how to properly craft prompts for AI, work with AI APIs, style CSS directly in JavaScript, and even explore new JS plugins. A big focus of this project was user experience—making sure the design was intuitive, engaging, and enjoyable for anyone who interacted with it. The highlight of the experience was building our own AI generator using the SheCodes AI API. What made it special was the creative freedom to design and define what we wanted our AI to generate. For me, the choice was easy—combining my love for the universe and poetry. I created a Cosmic AI Generator that writes 4-line poems about the cosmos, inspired by any word you provide. It’s a fun, celestial way to explore creativity through AI while keeping the user experience simple and seamless. A huge thanks to SheCodes for this incredible project and to Matt for the clear, step-by-step lessons that made it all possible.

I loved learning the more advanced options like implementing dark mode! This course was a partial refresh for me since I learned years ago but haven't practiced and it has been a lot of fun to create something new with techniques that I haven't tried before.

I really enjoyed the structure of this workshop and could follow along well. It was a bit challenging however so practice makes perfect! Only the lesson on Git could have been longer - I would have loved to learn about working on the command line!

The SheCodes Plus Workshop was an incredible experience! Over the course of 8 weeks, I not only learned new skills but also gained confidence in using tools like GitHub, APIs, and deploying projects. While it was initially challenging, especially as a beginner, the workshop pushed me to think creatively and step outside of my comfort zone. I'm so glad I chose to begin my path to coding professionally with SheCodes, the teaching style makes concepts so much simpler even if you've already got a little basic knowledge. Some of the projects and workshops have been really challenging, however there's always the support to find the solution and get your code to work the way you want. They've created a lovely balance between keeping you on point, but still having the freedom to experiment and do more.

I've always been intimated by coding, or anything pertaining to tech to be honest (the behind the scenes portion of it), but after taking SheCodes Basics workshop, I was less intimidated and more open to the idea of exploring tech as a career shift. I loved the flexibility of the courses, you can go at your own pace which is needed sometimes, but I also liked the idea of a push (deadlines). I plan to further my knowledge in coding with SheCodes when the time is right 😊. I recommend this for anyone that wants to learn the basics or maybe testing the waters to see if a career in coding is for you.

SheCodes add-on project was so nice. Glad for the gift of the SheCodes. Learnt a lot of things from CSS transform to CSS Grid to HTML Class Manipulation and then crowning it all with adding of Dark theme to a webpage. Love it all.

The AI course was truly unique and inspiring. As someone who loves cooking and often feels homesick while living abroad, I’ve always wanted to incorporate AI into a recipe-making project. Creating an Indonesian Recipe Generator felt like the perfect choice—it allows me to share my culture and passion for cooking with friends and family.
