I haven't coded anything in the last 20 years. I had almost mostly forgotten what I learnt in the past and this was a nice beginning for me. The workshop had me so invested, I loved it and I enjoyed it deeply. I can't wait to take part in the advance workshops.

Blessing and a curse. Working through the programme is rewarding and challenging. Then you go back out on to the internet and see just how terrible things are out there. Proceed with caution, coding powers should not be taken lightly. Also loved this so much, I nearly paid to do it twice π€¦ββοΈ

I love learning new things and got a little scared when I decided it was time (and important) to learn how to code. But luckily SheCodes team was very supportive and answered all my questions even before starting. I'll be here for all SheCodes Pro, and getting the Basics it's just the beginning, but I'm feeling pretty confident that all the foundations through this course will make me a great front-end developer!

It would not be an understatement to say that I feel this course has changed the trajectory of my life! After years struggling desperately to find a career path that I genuinely love and find fulfilling, I feel that I have finally achieved my goal. The course is brilliantly done - really well explained and I think having challenges that enable you to see what you've learned in action (and for me, invoke the newfound joy of watching my code come to life). The flexibility was also a massive bonus and reduced any pressure around the work.

Loved Plus! It was great making a functional website that generates real time weather data using an API. Matthieu's instructional style is great, the staff on Slack are so helpful and patient. Really demystifies web design and gives you a way in without getting overwhelmed. Plus - it's so fun. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed learning from Matt. He made the concepts easy and fun to learn. I love all the emojis everywhere too haha! π Each lesson was a good length, and the challenges were rewarding to figure out and complete. Every time I sat down to go through some lessons and challenges, I just kept going and going, getting through more than I thought I could in one sitting. I liked listening to SheCodes Radio while coding too. I think my brain really loved learning to code; I got to be creative and logical at the same time! I loved taking this course! I am excited to continue learning with SheCodes. The instructor, Matt, made learning the material fun. I really appreciated how each challenge continues to re-expose you to the previous skills and build on them. Learning each concept in chunks and getting practice with the challenges really helped me retain the information.
Definitely in love with the course and an opportunity to learn coding. This JS course was challenging and hard but worth all the efforts. You are learning to build an app step by step and also at the end you can see how Matt created the project from scratch and it really helps to see your mistakes and to improve your code. I've been self-teaching front end development for the past 2 years, and realised the need for a really good program that would take me from "knowing nothing" to actually understanding what I was learning and build my skills. After searching for a good, structured, international and flexible coding program that made learning engaging and fun with a good support system for almost just as long, I happened to come across SheCodes. I love that it's for women, and the Customer Success team was very helpful in answering all my questions before I decided to signup. Matt is great with giving bite-sized lessons without the information being overwhelming, and the Technical Team has been really helpful whenever I get stuck with the challenges. I'm looking forward to completing the other workshops!

I have split feelings about reaching the end of my SheCodes journey! On one hand I am proud of my accomplishment but on the other hand I am sad that I have no more challenges to do! The videos have been clear and very informative, I love Matt's style of teaching, and if I've ever had a problem the SheCodes team have been on hand to help and are so kind and supportive with it too . I have found my new passion and I'm so keen to continue with my own independent learning in the hopes of becoming a React Developer at some point. Excellent workshop, I loved the opportunity to have so much practice by doing little websites and learning more about Bootstrap, Flexbox and Grid. Matt is an excellent instructor. I really enjoyed this workshop from beginning to end. I also felt more creative. I cannot wait to start SheCodes React.
I loved learning with Matt. All the lessons are explained in an understandable, simple language and the thing that worked for me well was to immediately get an exercise after a learning video. So you practice what you have just been taught. Works great for me!

Loved this course, the freedom to build a portfolio with the constant reminders of what skills have been developed in the earlier courses. Along with the reminders from Matt that coding is not perfect on the first try but to keep coding and keep building.
It's only been three weeks and I absolutely love it! It's very interactive and hands on. I never used the slack but it seems extremely useful.

After the first week, I was already feeling comfortable enough to understand what I should improve and how to start. I had a lot of fun coding, and I would recommend the workshop with my eyes closed. Just one piece of advice: Be careful! SheCodes will make you fall in love with coding!
