I have always wanted to have my own webiste. SheCodes Responsive was my third SheCodes Course and did not disappoint! I loved the process and also love my result and everything I've learned from Matt! Now I just have to finish the rest of it :)

I took graphic design in college, which included multiple semesters of coding. I sincerely feel that I've absorbed more information in the SheCodes basics program than I ever did in the college courses. It's taught in a way that really works for me, and I love that I can work at my own pace. I'm so excited to keep learning!π

I am 25 and a stay at home mom. I came across SheCodes on a social platform. I really appreciated that they had a free 1 hour class to discuss what they do, how they work, and how easy it can be to learn coding, through them. Being a stay at home mom has its difficulties, and I really appreciated that it wasn't time consuming. It did still take lots of effort, but I finished the basic course, and really LOVED my entire experience. I have found a new love in the world of coding and the opportunities it can bring me and my family. I cannot wait to see what's to come after this. I am a lot of things, a designer a model, a dreamer... the list could go on but ultimately I am a creative. A few months before this course I did some learning on freecodecamp.org and then moved to shecodes.io just to experiment with the idea before committing to an actual degree in Web Systems. I am currently studying in college and I am so much ahead in my courses I am taking all thanks to the help of SheCodes. I've taken some time in the world to decide what I want in life and within that process I found a love for coding. I specifically want to pursue a career in cloud computing. I also want to learn/experiment with the integration of animation in web sites. I look forward to learning more and plan to do many more workshops to further my knowledge! I am a stay at home mom and I was scrolling tik tok one night when I came across a video for She Codes. I am not computer or tech savvy at all. However I found it interesting and decided to watch the free 60 minute coding session. After that I started the She Codes Basic and I LOVED IT!!! The whole set up was great. I loved the short videos they were so easy to follow, and challenges were so fun. I am excited to start another workshop!!!
It was great to learn addtional skills. I loved learning how to use Javascript to make the colour theme button!
It's been a long time since I first started SheCodes. I did Basic, Plus, Responsive and had plans to start React. But unfortunately life doesn't go always as planned and motherhood and settling down in a new country ended up drifting me away from the course. But I always felt eager and anxious to get back to it. After one year away from all I decided to get back on track and get myself the Basic Addon course to slowly getting myself familiar again with all the content. And it really worked great! Was a great way to get myself going again and It felt natural and easy to follow. I am very happy to be back, and also am very happy to realize how much I really love coding. Can't wait to have more :)
These three weeks of coding have been amazing! As someone who didn't know a thing about coding such as HTML, Javascript and CSS, this has been a great way to educate myself about modern technology. One of my goals this year was to learn a new skill and coding has helped me to achieve this! It seemed challenging at first and I didn't know what the ending to this course would be but I've fallen in love with the skills of problem-solving, logical thinking and new ways of creativity!

I have to say that I REALLY LOVE this workshop! I appreciate that I get to apply the foundational skills taught in the earlier workshops and the advanced techniques learnt in the Plus and Responsive workshops. This opportunity of building my responsive portfolio made me fall in love with coding even more!
Learning to code was on my checklist and I am happy to check this off. I loved applying the learning from each lesson with an exercise, which also helped to remember them better. I loved that the course was flexible and allowed me to complete it at my convenience yet kept me motivated with weekly deadlines.
SheCodes Plus was definitely challenging however I loved that I get to challenge my thinking skills after each lesson and learn something new! The SheCodes team and community is so helpful as well! Thank you and I really enjoyed making this weather app!

All homework instructions are clear, in addition, I like homework because it always has a little secret and you need to use your brain to do it.
I loved learning how to make a website more responsive. I was able to use my skills to make a beautiful portfolio showcasing my best code.
When I first heard of "SheCodes" was on Instagram. I literally ignored it, I didn't know what it was exactly. When I saw it again on my feed, I saved it. Never looked back until December of 2022. I follow people on Instagram that does coding and I was always a fan of coding, I just didn't know exactly "How to code?". Since I like to learn new things, I decided I would give it a go. I did, started with Basic. I don't know but "I fell in love!" It's amazing how coding turns everything beautiful. I'm glad I gave it a go, now I can't wait to go higher and learn way more.
The Plus workshop was definitely challenging, but Matt's videos made it super easy and clear to follow. The SheCodes team on Slack also helped me out a lot, so I appreciate their hard work. I learned so much and pushed myself more than ever. I never thought I would be able to build anything like my Weather App project, but I love how it came out. I can't wait to continue on learning with SheCodes.

SheCodes is a great platform to start learning how to code from scratch. The explanation is great, and the challenges are great to manifest what you just learned. I also love that you can get extensions (as a Mother, this was a lifesaver).

I really loved the Responsive workshop. I had this weird prejudice (based on what I hear from experienced developers) that making a website responsive is way too tricky as well as boring, but guess what, it is actually pretty cool - because it's so much about digging deep, investigating, and trying this and that. Everything is explained clearly and straight to the point; I very much enjoyed following the suggested advice from Matt, as well as trying other ways I found googling. Turned out making a website responsive is not scary or boring, it's actually challenging and worthwhile!

SheCodes courses are an amazing opportunity for women! I would definitely recommend them to my friends. I love the way how everything is organized and looks user-friendly. If you want to start programming, SheCodes is something you should go for and start with. I enjoyed solving challenges and they helped a lot to revise things you have learned. The project at the last week made me even more passionate about creating new websites using programming languages. I am looking forward to developing my skills in these sphere.
I am really glad that I decided to take this course. I have been curious about coding for a long time and, as a PM on maternity leave, I was nervous about learning something new at the moment. Matt is a great teacher and the team does a fantastic job supporting you. I learned more than I expected and I was impressed to be able to build my first "landing page" after only 3 weeks. I loved the fact that the course`s structure pushes you to be creative and to try to find solutions yourself from day 1. After this introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript I am definitely motivated to challenge myself in the future with more advanced classes!

I have finally completed the Basics SheCodes Workshop and it's safe to say that I love it! My favourite part was learning about CSS because I love making the websites pretty and unique. I went to college for mechanical engineering which was when I fell in love with coding and decided to change to Software Engineering. At the end of the day you do not need to go to college to get a job as a Software Engineer. Bootcamps are just as valid as an education as a degree. I personally went through the bootcamp route because university in the US is expensive and I donβt want to spend 4-5 years learning math and 5-10% of coding. Matt is a great teacher, one of the best I've had in a while. The way he teaches is simple and it's self paced. If one day you want to just take it easy or another day you want to put all your energy towards it. This bootcamp is quite friendly for people that like to be in control of how much their learning but with structure as well to keep you in check.
This course is a very mind-opening one. I never knew I could do anything close to coding. But with SheCodes, I was able to learn step by step. The course becomes easier by the day and now, yes, I finished it and I'm glad I did it. Every of the project is worth it. I love SheCodes, I'm coming back soon to get the other ones done because every step expands my knowledge on Coding. This school as I call it has helped me so well and will recommend it 100%. I will give a full testimony when I get the gig of my choice. Thank you so much Matt.
