I loved it, very easy to understand.

I've loved this workshop! I knew absolutely nothing about coding and by the end of it I was able to complete a project all by myself and I loved every part of it. Now I know the basics of coding and can't wait to further my knowledge even more! Absolutely incredible workshop!

I have finally completed the Basics SheCodes Workshop and it's safe to say that I love it! My favourite part was learning about CSS because I love making the websites pretty and unique. JavaScript was really difficult for me but Matt explained everything nice and clearly. I can't wait to start my next workshop and develop my skills😊

As someone with no coding experience but with a keen interest in pursuing a new career as a Frontend Developer, SheCodes has been absolutely fantastic in providing me with a foundation to build my knowledge and techniques. There is such a strong and friendly community of women and I've really enjoyed learning in such a supportive environment. I would love to take my coding journey to the next stage and upgrade to the next workshop!

I went to college for mechanical engineering which was when I fell in love with coding and decided to change to Software Engineering. At the end of the day you do not need to go to college to get a job as a Software Engineer. Bootcamps are just as valid as an education as a degree. I personally went through the bootcamp route because university in the US is expensive and I don’t want to spend 4-5 years learning math and 5-10% of coding. Matt is a great teacher, one of the best I've had in a while. The way he teaches is simple and it's self paced. If one day you want to just take it easy or another day you want to put all your energy towards it. This bootcamp is quite friendly for people that like to be in control of how much their learning but with structure as well to keep you in check.

This course is a very mind-opening one. I never knew I could do anything close to coding. But with SheCodes, I was able to learn step by step. The course becomes easier by the day and now, yes, I finished it and I'm glad I did it. Every of the project is worth it. I love SheCodes, I'm coming back soon to get the other ones done because every step expands my knowledge on Coding. This school as I call it has helped me so well and will recommend it 100%. I will give a full testimony when I get the gig of my choice. Thank you so much Matt.

As someone who started learning coding at 28 with zero knowledge, this step-by-step, simply explained course helped me learn about basics with joy and passion and it really built my self confidence as a beginner. I really appreciate the methodology and the way it was taught that made me fall in love with coding and get passionate about it.

I really liked the course! The only two things I'd personally like to see are: 1 - consistency in what's taught in the video vs what's in the assignment. A lot of the things we're supposed to do for homework wasn't taught in the video, or was taught another way, and the answer we're given is to just "google it." I know, but if we're spending $$$ on this course, this info should also be given to us on a foundational level so we know what to google in the first place, and 2 - I'd love to see more "practice projects" that we can do that aren't necessarily graded, but we can maybe submit in a different slack channel for our peers to weigh in.

I have taken a few courses before, but I felt frustrated because I found the information to be very overwhelming and not explained so well. But with SheCodes everything changed. Matt explains everything in a way it's very easy to understand and makes sense. He was born to teach, I cannot believe I invested one week and I already have my very first page built. SheCodes rocks! 💕 Love from Colombia 🇨🇴

I had a great experience doing the SheCodes Basics Workshop. Matt does a great job explaining the different technologies and techniques in a way that is understandable for everyone. I feel super inspired to learn even more about frontend development after doing this workshop. I also love the mission of helping to bridge the gender gap in the tech programming industry. SheCodes Basic was a great introduction to the world of coding! I truly was a beginner, knew nothing at all about how to code or how it worked, and now I have a rockstar landing page in less than 3 weeks! Matt is a great teacher and I love how after a new concept is presented you immediately get to practice applying it.

I loved going through the courses, as a Medical Assistant and having no previous knowledge with code I feel very confident moving forward with continuing my education in CS!

I had a wonderful time going through this course. I was able to complete the whole 3 week workshop in 1 week as I worked on it full-time (about 3-5 hours each day). The slack channel is also very helpful to ask questions in real time when you're working on your code. I am excited to see what's in store for me next! I would love to become a Front-End Developer!

SheCodes is an excellent course for both beginners and those trying to refresh their brain. I tried teaching myself back in 2021 and was frustrated because I was using a free site that just made you do all of the reading and wasn't very great at explanations of different concepts. I love how SheCodes is very interactive. The formatting of the video, challenge, and then explaining the solution is very effective. I also love all of the free tools such as the curated CSS gradients, cheatsheets, and all of the CSS generators. They were very helpful and fun to use for my final project so that I could easily and quickly test out what would work best (especially the generators). I would recommend SheCodes to anyone.

This workshop went through the basics of html, css, and Javascript in an extremely digestible and well-paced way. I now have the confidence and motivation to further pursue learning how to code. I came into this with 0 knowledge of coding, and can now have conversations with my friends who are software engineers and can relate to what they are saying!! I loved this course.

SheCodes Plus was definitely a deeper dive into HTML,CSS and JavaScript and has been so fulfilling for me. API was the most exciting part for me as I got to understand how communication occurs across applications and Matt explained everything so well. I love the fact that with these workshops you can always go back to previous lessons if need be. Even though it was not all a walk in the park, the lessons were broken down into bite sized parts that were easy to follow and digest. Thank you SheCodes team!💜

I am an ex-engineer and a new designer. As an engineer, I always love to design and create something new and discover how it can help people more. Now, as a full-time designer in health care, coding my design to test is even more important to iterate safer.

The first time coding was brought to my attention, I thought to myself that it was going to be extremely difficult. Since, I am a person who loves a challenge, I went for it. When I decided to use SheCodes as my learning platform, I was nervous. But, after the first lesson, I knew I made the right decision. Matt's teaching style is definitely very clear to understand and follow. Especially for individuals who have never seen coding before. In the 2nd week, I started to doubt if I could really do this or not. And this was because I caught myself getting stuck on challenges. I started to feel intimidated. After reaching out for help from other students and SheCodes staff, I gained my confidence and excitement back. Coding so far is fun and very interesting. After completing SheCode's basic workshop, I know without a doubt coding is for me. I look forward to learning more programming languages, techniques, and skills with SheCodes!!

I loved how SheCodes had short videos that didn't feel overwhelming and you could watch at your own time. There is always help available when you need it but I think when your code is not working and giving you the result you want, trying to figure out what is wrong helps you learn better! Matt is a great instructor that makes coding really fun and exciting. Would definitely recommend this course!

This was my favorite SheCodes course yet! I loved getting to build websites and, eventually, my online portfolio! I felt so accomplished by the end.

I am so thankful I decided to take the plunge and try something new! I am interested in breaking into the tech world and thought I would give it go and see if this is something I could do. React was so amazing and rather sophisticated. At times I did not understand much, but I did it! 💪🏽❤️ In short I love all the classes I have taken through SheCodes React ✨

Very clearly explained, easy to follow for people that do not have any knowledge on coding and if necessary help is available, which is great. Also love the challenges after each new topic to pratice them directly, and in the end the homework to summarize all the info.

I loved learning how to code with SheCodes and it was really fun! Matt explains everything really well so it's not difficult to understand even for the absolute beginner like myself. I also love the fact that once you complete the workshop all the coding tools will be available for you for an unlimited time so 10/10 for the SheCodes Basic workshop 😁

SheCodes just changed my life for the better. I am a former secondary teacher who has pivoted into the tech world. However, I knew I desired to further my tech skills and make myself competitive in the technology industry. When I signed up for this course a week ago, I didn't fathom that I would fall in love with coding. I felt like I was playing a fun yet challenging game. I have finally found my passion. Lastly, I did the 3-week workshop in 1 week while currently nine months pregnant and with a busy 2-year-old and husband at home. I will forever recommend SheCodes to all the busy ladies in the world. This workshop is really fun and challenging. I gained a lot of knowledge and was able to learn how to code at my own pace. I love how I was able to get extensions when on the homework when I felt I wasn't getting the material. These extensions help me with not feeling pressured or rushed to know how to code and I was able to produce an accurately working application.

Such a great opportunity to open up more career fields. I love the quick lessons and challenges that keep you engaged all week.

I loved diving a little deeper into the world of front-end developing! This course does a fantastic job of building off the foundational concepts from the basic course and advances your understanding of how HTML/CSS/JS all interact with one another. It was definitely challenging at some points, but Matt does a great job of breaking down his thinking process to help users learn and grow.

I truly enjoyed every minute of this journey, and even though I did come across some challenges, the manner in which this workshop is structured made overcoming those challenges very easy. Matt is a really great instructor, & the support from the SheCodes team was also very helpful. This workshop provided me with the most informative & comprehensible introduction to HTML, CSS & JavaScript, I loved working on the homework/challenges and building my first project from scratch. I think I took every possible route into coding. Originally I started off of youtube university which was ok for the most part but I needed more guidance on the order I should learn things. I thought I'd join a bootcamp and by the second day, I was completely lost. I knew that I really wanted to code and it became a bit discouraging feeling like I couldn't grasp the information given. I gave it one more try with SheCodes basics and I am so glad I did. Matt explains everything so well especially for beginners with his metaphors and reasonings, I'm able to see code in my everyday life!
