Coding & designing, what's not to love

This workshop was so much fun! And I really love React and now I'm hungry to learn more. I'm so thankfully that I found the SheCodes workshops. They literally changed my life and I found a new interest to pursue. Matt is such a good instructor who explains everything so good. And now I'm more confident because I have a good basis with React.

The course is 100% practice, the information provided is clear and in a way that it is easy to understand. Also, lots of resources are given to use during our course. I loved it.

I loved this workshop. What a cool challenge to tie all of the projects I have been working on together while also designing and coding an entire interactive website from scratch. All of the elements coming together. I feel like I am just scratching the surface!

This year, I made the deliberate choice to dive back into my coding journey after giving up in 2018. I overcome my coding fears and rediscovered my love for coding, thanks to the guidance of SheCodes. I must commend Matt for being an amazing instructor! His teaching style has a way of making intricate concepts so easy to understand. I'm eagerly looking forward to the journey ahead, where I can continue to develop and refine my programming skills!

My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding Delac Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜 plus I have completed my shecodes plus and responsive it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me I’m learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project ❤️”

SheCodes really made me LOVE coding!! At first, I chose to follow the SheCodes Basics class for personal and general knowledge but now, I developed a true enjoyment for coding. I will probably continue to invest in other classes to pursue my coding journey! 😁

Basics Add-On was a good exercise and extension after having completed the Basics workshop. I love that I can make the webpage more visually dynamic. The course took me a day to complete. Hands down, the sequence of the workshops was amazing. Once you have mastered or drilled in the basic steps, it is really easy to move forward from there. However, I did encounter two issues that I wasn't able to solve alone, and asking for help on Slack wasn't fruitful. Luckily, I have resources at home. With that said, having a team on Slack does provide me with an emotional safety net.

I have really enjoyed SheCodes so far! I love that it feels as if they thought of any possible event/question that you might have and gave you the tools to overcome them before you even had to reach out for help! Matt is also incredibly good at explaining things simply and logically, which makes learning much more enjoyable. I used to see coding as something only a few (that had studied for years and years) could understand, but thanks to SheCodes, now I know that if you have the right people to teach you and have your heart set to learn it, you can start understanding a few things since day 1!

Absolutely love Matt's step-by-step approach! Lots of aha moments while I worked on my Plus project, and the SheCodes team were just a Slack message away whenever I got stuck. On to the next workshop!

As someone with no IT background, I thought to myself "what have I gotten myself into this time around?", the moment I saw all the codes that I couldn't read or understand, I really thought I wouldn't even finish the Intro course as I didn't even have the confident to continue with the first lesson, but to my surprise I fell in love with coding and wanting to code more and it was all because of my wonderful instructor Matt. He made coding seem very easy and enjoyable, which made me want to learn more about coding. I'm glad I decided to join SheCodes, it's amazing how quickly one can acquire new skills so fast only because of this wonderful workshop and great teacher, who made it easy and enjoyable to learn.

I learned a lot in this three-week course. I went from not knowing anything about coding to being able to make a simple website. It´s a perfect course for beginners or for people who just want to find out if coding is something for them. In my case - I love coding and i want to take part in another course. So I really recommend it!

I absolutely loved the SheCodes Responsive Course. Matthieu Delac is an excellent teacher. Not only did I learn how to make a website more responsive, but I also learned how to make websites more SEO friendly. Cannot wait to move onto the React course!

At first, I was really hesitant to apply thinking that I won't be able to complete but after starting the workshop, the journey was so easy, the content was easy to follow. The SheCodes workshop is really amazing. I really enjoyed and loved each and every moment of every session. Now I am really addicted to coding.

The SheCodes Basics Add-On Workshop wan an awesome experience from start to finish! Matt's clear explanations made learning easy, and his enthusiasm for coding made it so much fun. I really love how my project ended up looking. Although it was supposed to be a page about my hobby, I decided to do it about Eminem because I'm a Stan :P I'm looking forward to completing the next Add-On now!

It is very interesting and helpful course for someone who want to learn front end coding and doesn't know anything about it. In this course the learning is very systematic and after every video some challenges are given to test the knowledge. I personally really loved the way of teaching and would definitely recommend it.

As a total beginner with absolutely 0 knowledge about coding whatsoever, I'd say this was an excellent introduction to the world of coding. Matt is a great teacher and explains everything in simple words which makes it super easy to grasp. Also, love that he didn't spoon feed the concepts and made his students use their knowledge & logic to complete assignments.

I thought coding would be hard but the workshop explains everything so well and it makes it so easy. In only two weeks I can create a website. I already know html, css and java script, I am exited to continue learning. I love shecodes.

What can I say about She Codes? I am transitioning to UX, and a friend of mine has recommended She Codes. I was a little bit scared because I had never thought about working with coding. And then I started the course, and I can say that Matt's teaching, the way the course is conducted, the challenges—everything helped me achieve a very good performance. I've just discovered that I love coding, and as Matt says, "coding is really fun."

This workshop was amazing. Matt's videos give us enough to understand what to do, but also allow us to push ourselves in the challenges. I love having the freedom to build my own projects at the end of each week because it gives me a sense of accomplishment. I already feel like I know so much, but I can't wait to keep going!

Such a great workshop! It is key if you want to make your webpages responsive, aka good-looking in mobile devices, which is of course crucial if you want to become a front-end dev. As with the other workshops I've done so far, Matt explains everything in a completely understandable manner. I love how we can follow everything step by step, even what to do when we make a mistake! It gives us the necessary tools to do what we are supposed to with some confidence on the way. It's naturalness makes it more attainable. I also feel that little by little I manage to ask less for help, not because I know everything, but because I have the tools to find the answers I need by myself. Looking forward to the Responsive Adds-on and SheCodes React!

I loved learning about html when I was in highschool but I was told there wouldn't be a future in it by the staff of my college, but they were wrong. I'm very grateful to SheCodes for giving me a second chance to further my knowledge on something that I loved.

I loved the three-week SheCodes Basics workshop so much I signed up for SheCodes Max! I learned so much in the Basics Add-On workshop and it really helped me feel better about the skills I learned in the last workshop, and Matt's ability to really explain things in a helpful way makes me feel more comfortable going into the next workshop(s).

SheCodes has been such an amazing journey. I definitely would recommend anyone wanting to learn to code. The videos and interaction make it a breeze to go through and mostly you have access to people who are on the journey with you to assist you. I loved getting to know deeper HTML, CSS & JS code with the exercises of building search engines. I can use the knowledge learned to research more efficiently for digital design and editing-related work which is a bonus I did not expect. I'm looking forward to building my own web pages and integrating what I've learned into other parts of my creative work.

I had no idea that stumbling across a person's video on social media talking about how amazing SheCodes was would result in having one of the best experiences of my life. I can't recall the last I had such fun doing school work and my love for tech has grown ever since. I simply cannot wait to see what the future holds.

Very easy topics and step by step lessons enough to understand but also does not spoon feed you so you learn to be more resourceful and creative which I really loved. I have a unrelated day job and the flexibility of their courses really made it easy for me to catch up. I loved the responsive section of SheCodes. It was so interactive and it really helps you understand how applications work in the background too.

Learning to code with SheCodes has been both exciting and very educational. When I started learning WordPress, I was very nervous because I was branching into a new field, from a completely different field, Linguistics. But it turned out to be life-changing, and something I immediately fell in love with. Then I learned coding made work even more exciting and gave variety. I had to hop on it too. I was introduced to SheCodes, and I got the best head start and knowledge on coding using HTML, CSS, and javascript. This was one of my best experiences. I like how the lessons are carefully explained, especially for beginners like me.

Having to juggle between school work and SheCodes was not easy especially during exams. Matt is the best teacher because he explains everything vividly and I also love the fact that lessons are pre-recorded. SheCodes was my first try at learning to code and I loved it! If I hadn't gone to their free seminar online I never would have discovered my love for coding and computer science. The lessons are well explained and the projects are enjoyable, at a good level for beginners.
