SheCodes Coding Workshop Reviews

I've been trying to grasp coding for a couple of months but kept getting stuck with no idea how to find answers to my questions. I love this format where not only are we taught how to look up answers for ourselves, but if we can't figure it out there's a chat with classmates as well as an entire walkthrough of the problem. It's also super fun!

I loved the challenges SheCodes offers. It was a great way to learn and practice coding!

This was my favourite project so far! Loved how easy everything was to follow and understand and it's so exciting seeing my projects growing!

I absolutely loved the sheCodes workshop experience. It was very beginner friendly and Matt explains the concepts so well. I have a lot to learn still but I am further than I was 3 weeks ago.

I've loved the SheCodes Plus course, it's been fun, challenging and really hands on. I've loved going back through my code and adding and changing things as a I learn more with each lesson, feeling easeful in some areas and stretched and challenged in others. It's been a great few weeks.

I love SheCodes and how it is self paced! I also love how they have tons of helpful tools to help with the coding process.

SheCodes workshops provide exciting experiences where you learn in a very didactic way, keeping your time and developing skills that you didn't know you had, I love it!

Great workshop for anyone with no prior experience and wondering if front-end might be good for them. Loved the deadlines with the homework cause it push you to practice and being in a real-life reality style of work.

SheCodes was such a fun experience for me! I just moved to a new country recently and had some complications that resulted in me only being allowed to study in January of 2024. SheCodes has been a great opportunity for me to still be able to study and learn while waiting for college to start. The videos and exercises are easy to understand, it is so easy to ask questions and I love that there are deadlines. They really helped me to stay focused during the course. The basics course is great for people like myself who never tried this before and wanted to discover if this is something I would be interested in doing in the future.

It was a great experience! I really enjoyed the coding class , I loved the challenge. I look forward to the next workshop. I'd recommend anyone interested in coding to take the classes.

I loved the SheCodes basic course. I learned so many different skills within 3 weeks. Matt made coding very easy to learn. I highly recommend taking the course if you want to learn about coding.

Great workshop, nice and easy after the Javascript ones, so was good to focus on putting all of the HTML and CSS learnt in past modules together with the responsive side, loved it!

I loved completing the SheCodes Plus add-on! It was both fun and challenging, and the instructors were always available to help. I learned a lot about coding and web development, and I now feel more confident in my abilities. I'd definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to expand their coding skills!

Love how easy the course has been so far

Before joining SheCodes, I had no knowledge of what JavaScript or HTML was. But, once I started learning how to code with SheCodes, I learned a lot in just under 3 weeks. I have always loved everything colorful and using CSS has brought color to this beautiful journey. I enjoy how this program is self-paced in a way that it is easy to complete the tasks on time without any pressure. Alright, this is enough for now, and on to the next!!

Loved it - learned a lot!

I enjoyed the learning process and the frustration of JavaScript. 😅 It is taught very well and you understand how to build a page from scratch. The final project was lovely to build, I really enjoyed it. It's fascinating learning everything and finally getting the code to work.

I loved working though the modules! They are scaffolded wonderfully, so I was able to go through each section in a bite-sized manner. Yes, there were times of frustration, but I found it easy to isolate where I wasn't understanding &/or going wrong. I studied a little more & played around a bit to solve the issue. I'm so happy with what I've made.

I've struggled to find a workshop that I'd easily learn, with no previous knowledge needed before finding SheCodes. A friend of mine told me how awesome the workshops were, but I still had to find out for myself how SheCodes patlaform worked. When I finally joined SheCodes Basics for a trial, I instantly fell in love with the method and now that I have just finished my final project I am amazed how much I could learn in such a short time. I also enrroled in SheCodes Max and I can't wait to start.

I know I say this every time, but this was my favorite workshop! I reached a point where I feel confident in building a website like the ones I'm using every day, what I loved the most was learning about embeds! They made my website feel more interactive and overall complete!

I absolutely loved my experience with the SheCodes React Add-On 2-week certification! The course was not only enjoyable but also incredibly enriching. It was surprising how quickly I was able to grasp the concepts and build my own dictionary application using React. This course filled in the missing pieces of my skill set, and I'm now more confident than ever in my ability to create web applications. I'm truly grateful for this learning opportunity.

I have loved the entire experience and appreciate shecodes for helping me achieve my dream to learn code.

It was a very interesting workshop, Matt is a very wonderful facilitator he is the best, during my journey it was a bit difficult as it was my first time coding but Matt made learning very simple and easy to understand and slack community helped a lot. I learn to love coding more and more. I highly recommend it to anyone who want to get into the world of tech, its been a rollercoaster experience but I made it thus far and I`m grateful for the opportunity.

I have learned coding with sheCodes for months and during my journey, I have faced a lot of difficulties and problems at coding. Sometimes, I feel depressed that my coding skill is not good enough compared with others. However, I love coding and no matter how hard it is, I will learn and try my best. I have made up my mind to be a programmer who is able to create programmes that can make people happy or convenient in their daily life.

I have enjoyed every moment of this course and have already been using things I have learnt in a professional capacity. Very surprised at how quickly I have picked up coding, and would love to learn more through SheCodes. 10/10 recommend!

¡Gracias! I spent a couple of months surfing the web, looking for courses to better understand how to code, and didn't know where to start. I was able to do some exciting things in Apps Script and play around, but it wasn't until I found SheCodes that my learning experience started to take shape. Now I feel very excited to continue my exploration, which is a huge turnaround from my career, and I'm very excited about it. The course is very well structured. Having a practical case immediately after the theoretical lesson works very well, as you put the content you've learned into practice straight away. I really enjoyed making my Portfolio and learning how to make my website responsive. We touched on some SEO basics, it was great but I'll definitely need a more in-depth lesson. Overall, I loved it and learned much!

The perpetual isolation of the lockdown was depressing but it gave me the chance to reflect on my life. This is when I realized I was unhappy with my job and it was time to explore other avenues. During this time is when I also discovered Tik Tok. The "tech girlies" were showcasing their luxurious lives afforded by the benefits their entitled to for working in tech. I decided I too wanted a piece of the tech pie and it was time for me to search for a way in. After researching various coding programs, I came across SheCodes. The reviews were good and I loved that the program was self paced and geared towards women. I enrolled in the Basics program and I thoroughly enjoyed Matt's style of teaching as well as the various resources available. I recommend anyone that is considering SheCodes to go ahead and enroll. You will not be disappointed.

SheCodes Basic helps refresh and update my knowledge on HTML, CSS and JavaScript in such a fun and easy way. I have been a nurse for last 20 years. Due to my medical condition its getting to difficult for me to work and do what I loved. So I stumbled upon the 60mts session my Matt which came across as very comprehensive, interesting and very easy to follow along which made me to join the Basic course. I thoroughly enjoyed it and looked forward to solve each challenge or homework. Hopefully I would continue this journey to achieve my goals.

It only took 3 weeks to make me fall in love with coding again.

This course has been a fantastic introduction to HTML, CSS and JavaScript and I've enjoyed every minute. Sessions are delivered in well explained segments with small recap tasks to really help consolidate the teaching, the challenges are well explained and build upon the skills learnt, and the concepts are taught and demonstrated through engaging examples. There's also a really lovely community of other students eager to help each other out, which has been super useful for learning how to troubleshoot and problem solve. I'm so grateful to the SheCodes team - thank you!

This is a great little workshop that builds on your knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS properties. I especially loved the edition of adding a dark mode to the project!
