Programming - especially frontend and web design - has always fascinated me and I wanted to finally delve deeper into the subject. ๐ ๐ก What I learned: From HTML Input Types to Select Elements to moment.js and moment timezone - this course not only showed me new tools, but also helped me to significantly deepen my JavaScript knowledge. ๐ช The biggest challenge? JavaScript is super fun ... as long as the code works. ๐ But when it doesn't, it can be really challenging. I've learned to stay patient and systematically look for solutions - and that sense of achievement when everything works is priceless. ๐ โจ My highlight: My favorite part of every project is when the basic structure is in place and everything works - then I can really let off steam in CSS styling. After secondary school, I applied for nursing, but circumstances led me to pursue a diploma in chemical engineering. While the field held promise, I quickly realized it wasnโt the right fit for me. I would highly recommend the program, Matt explains everything so well and makes new concepts very easily digestible. I love that he also teaches what is in the challenge questions allowing one to practice what they have learned and he also gives really good examples allowing one to understand the concepts easily. I have not experienced a programming workshop/class/course that compares to this one.
I really love the way complex subjects have been broken down into relatable modules, making them easier to learn. As someone with ADHD it can be difficult to find a style of teaching that fits, but Matt and his team seem to have got it just right. Although it's hard work, I've had so much fun working on the challenges and using new skills to complete the final project.

I really enjoy the workshop. Before it, I never imagined myself coding because I always thought coding is something really boring, dry and difficult.
