I am an Afghan girl who loves coding. When I found the "she codes" program, it changed my life. "she codes" taught me coding skills through classes and support from teachers. Before this, coding was very difficult for me. But the teachers at "she codes" helped me learn step-by-step. Now I have good coding skills and confidence to work in technology. "she codes" also connected me with other Afghan girls who love coding. This program has given me the chance to do what I love, even as a girl in Afghanistan. I am very grateful for "she codes" and all it has done for me.

I have always been interested in tech engineering and the coding world since I was a child. When I first heard about it, I thought it was unattainable as I only saw white men in that industry. As I grew up, my aunt, who went into the data engineering industry, inspired me. I realized that as a black child, I could also be in that industry. For the love of STEM, I started my mechanical engineering degree at the esteemed University of the Witwatersrand. I was very excited because I got to keep the science in my engineering. We were introduced to Python, and I enjoyed the journey as I could build interesting stuff from scratch. Turning nothing into something big gave me joy. Then I was introduced to MATLAB, which I took with me into my second year. I found it to be stressful as it was rushed, and there were always deadlines to meet. This made me understand things late as I would be rushing to finish my work along with other modules. My aunt told me about SheCodes, and I decided to try it out. It was scary at first as I was hearing things I didn’t know. I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I loved the way everything was explained, and I could have a 100% understanding of the concepts while also being challenged. I loved that it was self-paced, so I didn’t have to stress about it and could do it at my own pace. I’m excited to learn more, but what I can say is SheCodes is amazing.

SheCodes Workshop has been such a lovely experience for me. I am a beneficiary of Delac Foundation and I'm grateful for this opportunity. Matt Delac is an amazing teacher. I actually enjoy coding now! This is truly the best coding boot camp I've been a part of (and I have experienced quite a few), I finally understand everything I struggled with before. THANK YOU!

I really enjoyed this workshop. Each lesson is well-paced and followed by a challenge, which allows me to learn and apply what I've learned. Matt explains the material very clearly. I also love the final project, where we get to apply everything we've learned. I appreciate the flexibility of the course, as it allows me to adjust the start date to fit my schedule without any restrictions. Overall, it has been a very fun and engaging online learning experience for me. I had a great time!

I actually studied coding in high school but it was in Java which I found quote boring. The first level is easy, but as you progress, it becomes increasingly challenging. However, I love this. Always behind the computer with no human interaction, just me and my tools.

I absolutely loved working on this project. I encountered some challenges as a beginner, but the project allowed me to learn essential web development and technology skills, including structuring content and basic styling. Overall this HTML project was a fantastic learning experience and I am happy with what I have accomplished.

These courses are so fun. I love how Matt teaches- very upbeat, and just enough information. Although, what I built is totally basic, I have come such a long way. Can't wait for the next challenge.

I highly recommend SheCodes. Their curriculum is well-structured and you can easily follow their clear instructions given and also understand the lessons , i also love the fact that you get to check solutions after submitting your challenge to see if your challenge is incorrect or correct.

SheCodes Basics workshop is a very fun way to learn the basics on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This was my first contact with coding and I absolutely loved it! Html was delicious, Css; mouth watering, but then you meet JavaScript and React which are rather acquired tastes which I am learning to LOVE!! I feel like a some sort of superhero and now it's time to save the world through code... 'Hello World' changing technology!!

This was the most challenging workshop, I never thought it would take this much to build a responsive website there is a lot that I have learned and it was so interesting. Responsive is not easy but thanks again to Matt and the Slack community for making it easier for me I loved everything about this workshop and highly recommend SheCodes.

I've tried learning python before and have found other online courses boring and hard to follow. SheCodes Python lessons have been amazing! Easy to follow, practical and kept me interested throughout. I am so glad I pursued this course through SheCodes - I kinda love python now - this is just the start of my journey! 😊

The exercise was challenging but interesting and informative at the same time, I appreciated how the instructions were easy to understand for someone who has no tech background. I loved the experience.

I have made a major progress in Java, html and java script this workshop has helped me greatly in my growth. I would love to join more workshop of she codes. I have learned many new concepts and few tricks to get the codes right and short in less time. The less duration of the recorded sessions have helped a lot as instead of giving 1 hour for basic concept I learnt that same concept in 10minutes. Helping me to manage my time also.
