The weather app was fun to build using Python. I learned a lot!

This was so much fun! I always wanted to learn a little coding and this workshop is an amazing introduction. I now catch myself looking at elements of apps and websites and trying to figure out how everything was made

I recently completed the SheCodes Basic Python course and it was an incredible experience! The course is exceptionally well-structured, making it easy for beginners to grasp the fundamentals of Python programming. The lessons are clear and concise, with plenty of hands-on exercises that reinforce the concepts taught. One of the standout features of the course is the supportive community. The SheCodes team and fellow students are always ready to help and encourage each other, which makes the learning process much more enjoyable. Excellent introduction to using AI! I had great fun taking the lessons learnt from the poem generator tutorial to make my own fantasy background character generator.

I enjoyed creating this project and I loved learning more about the different ways I could use CSS, HTML and JavaScript.

Great course and although it was challenging, being able to develop a full functional app using an api was a great learning experience and i'm really looking forward to learning more.

Having a background in coding, I wanted to strengthen my skills but wasn't sure what to expect from SheCodes. I had seen the site several times and thought, "Why not give it a try? I am a slow learner. I have struggled with creating a simple website for over 3 years now. I never understood nor grasped most of the different syntax used in HTML and CSS but I did this week. I never found a useful and organized YouTube channel to help me either. This week has motivated me to build a website for all my baking recipes over the holidays! Learning how to make a website responsive has been a transformative experience. The process of adapting a website to function seamlessly across different devices and screen sizes was challenging, but incredibly rewarding. I have been interested in learning to code for years and have tried several other courses (free and paid), none of which I completed because they either presupposed coding experience and advanced way too fast for me to keep up or because there was no support or feedback on the code I wrote so I would abandon the course if I got stuck. Matt explains everything in bite-sized chunks so I never felt intimidated or overwhelmed. The weekly homework gave me a chance to practise and solidify my knowledge. His teaching style makes coding so fun and accessible, that I am already looking forward to the next workshop. Happy Coding indeed :)
