It has been a beautiful journey with Matt. I had setbacks when I started learning with SheCodes and had to put a hold on this journey for over a year. A few weeks ago I decided to pick up from where I left off, and here we are with my first certificate from SheCodes, with many more to come.

SheCodes is way to go when in comes to learning coding. This basics plus was great in learning more about styling, themes, and grids.👌

A crucial part of one of my last lessons was deprecated which made it a bit difficult to finish, but overall I would recommend the more beginner SheCodes workshops as a good way to learn more about HTML and CSS.

As I wrapped up my SheCodes Basics course, I tackled a project that combined everything I’d learned about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. At first, it felt a bit intimidating, but I pulled through and created something that I think is pretty cool! I’m looking forward to enhancing it and giving it more character down the line, but for now, I’m happy with what I've come up with!

After three weeks of hard work and dedication, I’m proud to share that I am now a Basics Graduate at the SheCodes Foundation. Creating a travel planner using AI and Python was both a fun and insightful experience. I learned more about prompt engineering and how to integrate AI to personalise trip recommendations, along with APIs to display real weather data of current locations. This course was definitely challenging as a 'newbie'. Matt does not always tell you the 'why' behind everything which as an educator is just as important as the 'how'. However, he explains that the logic will start to 'click' through repetition with which code or string goes where which is part of your problem-solving developer skillset. You start to recognize the process of why programming logic functions as it does. I appreciate that he walks us through each step and corrects his own errors as they occur. It adds some humor and humanity to the learning process. It's not only a relief when your code works but very satisfying!
