This workshop allowed me to finally get in the world of coding, what seemed so out of reach, doesn't feel so difficult anymore. It gives you the tools to create a base and understand how coding structure works, from there, continue learning seems easy enough, and having in account coding it's a current and future language, now seems like a good time to start learning it.
SheCodes taught me more than I ever expected to learn in two days - I don't feel intimidated of the world of coding anymore and will definitely continue to refine and improve my skills! Matt is a wonderful teacher and the whole weekend had a great energy throughout.
The course was really intensive in these 12 hours we had over the weekend. We were coding, coding... And coding all the time. Matt is a great instructor and he answers all the questions you have. First you learn about HTML and CSS, following by JavaScript. I always wanted to learn more about JavaScript, because it's one of the most popular programming languages. I also wanna thank all the others who were helping Matt at SheCodes 20.0!

I had a great experience and learned a lot about the 3 programming languages ββthough. I do advise every girl to take the course because it's really helpful. At least for me it was, now I understand the "programming" conversations around me at work and am able to participate in a constructive way in those conversations.

I wasn't aware that it was possible to learn so much in such a short time! Everything was really well-organized - from the way the sessions were structured to the relaxing breaks. By being a project manager from the economic area and not knowing if, in fact, and if in the future, I will make some front end developer work, one thing I am sure: In the present, I will understand better my IT colleagues! In just two days we learned a lot of things: html, css and javascript. It is true that it was just an introduction to each of these languages, but this introduction allowed us to understand how each works, so we can learn more about them, or one of them, in the future. Come to SheCodes without any fear. It is made for those that never had any contact with coding and for those with some experience. In the end you will know what it is, and at least how it works HTML, CSS and Javascript. It's a fast pace weekend, spent with a lot of minds trying to learn, and a lot of fun. There are a lot of exercises to be done, but also a lot of information about these new world, that I for sure, after these great weekend, want to learn more! I chose to attend SheCodes because I wanted to learn more about code, especially JavaScript and was having a tough time doing it by myself. When the weekend was over I was really excited and I can say for sure it was totally worth it. It was very dynamic, fun and super informative. Everyone is incredibly nice and helpful. SheCodes Plus helped me to understand how developers think about problems and taught me the language that they use to go about solving them. This course has enabled me to have conversations with developers that are informed and efficient, exactly what a developer wants! I've learned a lot, but also learned more about what I don't know so that when I reach out for help, I know what I'm asking for, I have more realistic expectations for how long it will take (with ample time to fix bugs!) and we can all arrive at a better end product.
I found She Codes while I was looking for coding workshops and it was definitely the best option considering value for price. Additionally, I was stunned by how much I learned in such little time. SheCodes was a fantastic opportunity to truly learn about the coding world and see results in a short amount of time. I've been interested in coding for a while, but until I learned about SheCodes, no other courses fit into/around everything else happening in my life. Especially since women aren't as strongly represented in STEM fields, this is a great first step to push me personally to bridge that gap in my career and other engagements. The course had an added benefit of meeting other women who are curious, engaged, and interested in growing professionally. I'm not entirely sure yet to what extent I will incorporate coding in my daily work and life, but I am sure that the skills I've learned in the past couple of months will be useful in many other ways as well - from communicating better with developers, to understanding, using, and analysing the data with which I work. I've walked away excited to learn more and to see in what way I can be part of the huge technological advances happening all around us.
SheCodes is a great choice for someone who wants to learn more about web development and coding, even if you are not certain if this is the path for you. We got to implement more of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and learn about the framework React, which for me was a totally new world that I enjoyed implementing in my project! The classes were demanding but engaging, and we got work tasks which were important to keep track of what we were learning. She Codes was the program that I needed to finally get back to coding and made me certain that this is the path that I would like to follow in the future.
We have the opportunity to learn a lot in just 2 days! In workshop we also had moments of hard work along with fun time breaks. At the end this experience makes us feel really proud of building a web page from scratch and I would definitely recommend this course!

I joined the next live event and the experience was gratifying. I had no experience with programming languages ββand I feel that I learned the basics in a fun and didactic way. In the end I did a project about one of my passions where I put everything I learned into action, proving to myself that it is possible to learn the basics in one weekend. I think it's a great opportunity for all women who have an interest in this area.Matt is a great and fun teacher, I would really recommend it!
I have to confess I was a bit skeptical about learning coding and any programming language in only two days, but halfway through i got convinced that we could do amazing stuff on the SheCodes weekend. I tried to learn by myself before, there are a lot of theories about how and where we should start from, but none of them worked as efficient and quickly and Matt's way did. To combine the structural languages with a programming one, having people in the room to help you out is definitively the best way to do it if you don't have a clue of what you are doing. This said, obviously i am no master nor any of the girls who started with SheCodes workshop are (yet!), but now we have the basis to continue the work and to do it "our thing" if we decide so.

I fell in love with coding when I first had a course on C programming in college (I'm a Biomedical Engineering student). After hearing about She Codes, I knew it was the right program for me, so I signed up. It was worth every single penny!
